I reverted your edit, but only because the issue is still under discussion and there is no consensus for your proposed change. As I said on the Talk page, I think we need to first clarify critera for who we are including otherwise we will have an ongoing situation where various editors keep adding and deleting leaders based on their own criteria. For example, if we are going to include Mehmed Talaat Pasha and Ismail Enver Pasha, then why not Ahmed Djemal Pasha? Was Wilhelm II really call the shots in Germany throughout the war? This sounds pertinent, but after a week there hasn't been any more input. Since no one objects to not adding Talaat to the infobox, I'm thinking of going through with this edit soon. To answer your question, Djemal Pasha was not a key decision maker like Talaat and Enver were, and was principally a soldier on the Syrian front. He had a lot of political authority in that sector, but he did not have national decision making power. Talaat was Interior Minister, CUP leader, and then Prime Minister, it doesn't make sense to exclude him from the infobox. Thanks for your explanaton. I didn't know this. So are you saying the First World War Allies would have operated almost at will in "the Turkish lands" as wellas having the mandates of Syria,Palestine,Iraq etc, with armed forces in Turkey and trading on their own terms? I described the stipulations of the Treaty of Sevres section of the Mehmed VI article, where I cite the Bardakçı biography:

"... Though Turkey could nominally keep its capital, a large Allied presence would be stationed in the Turkish straits. Hundreds of articles of the treaty delved into minutia only appropriate for colonies, such as provisions for foreign excavation and archeology, protection of birds useful for agriculture, and bans on pornography. The Ottoman Empire was to remain a rump state in Anatolia under foreign influence, relegating the country as an "uncivilized" state necessary of civilizing initiatives by great powers."

Therefore it shouldn't be necessary to source the statement in the lede since it's talked about in the article. We can expand on the section using other literature on the treaty, but I think might be too tangential relative to this article.

Going back to my original point, Turkey definitely would have lost more land in Sevres: Eastern Thrace, chunks of Eastern Anatolia, and likely Aydin Vilayet in a plebiscite, but it is important to understand that Lausanne was also a partition, except Turkey would have kept the before mentioned territories and didn't have all those articles which would have relegated Turkey to be colonial satellite.
