I just wanted to say it's really cool to see that he's on wikipedia, and that I'm thankful you took the time to put him there. Removing Haku (girl band) moved to draftspaceThanks for your contributions to Haku (girl band). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and Way too much POV; describes the band in Wikipedia's voice as being objectively fun in one sentence, and in other bits writes about the band in flowery language. Not enough independent journalistic or academic sources, a lot of social media sources. Poor reference formatting; uses WP:BAREURLs. Too many issues for mainspace. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while. Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. grapesurgeon (seefooddiet) (talk) 02:46, 18 July 2025 (UTC) 2025 World Athletics Championships – Men's discus throwHey! I noticed your summary on 2025 World Athletics Championships – Men's discus throw, and just had some concerns for future pages. I have gone and changed a lot of it, because at times it read more like a live blog " Wait a minute, that was Martynas Alekna, older brother of the world record holder. Mykolas took all three attempts and "only" got 65.39m.", while other sections were journalistic "The wind tunnel conditions at Ramona, Oklahoma made the world record into a freak show." As well as unneeded regardless of it being sourced "Olympic champion Rojé Stona is not here as he is in the process of changing allegiance to Turkey for money". Not being there is notable, "for money." is saying too much. Then the final section felt just like you were saying far too much by listing quite a few throws, while also ignoring a major contextual piece of why the event was interesting and resulted in fairly low marks. Considering the rain was mentioned once "a wet ring", but the competition being stopped and 50% of throws being fouls was not mentioned at all. I have no issues with you writing summaries, because you clearly know a lot about athletics. My issue is that the summary effectively had to be completely rewritten because it wasn't really written as a summary should be. Not saying that my changes are perfect by any stretch of the imagination. It just needs to give a brief overview of the background, qualifying and final without too much journalistic writing. Hope this is all good and you take it as the constructive criticism it is, not an attack. Basetornado (talk) 07:21, 22 September 2025 (UTC) |
