Thanks so much. I did have a question. I didn't include an infobox image in the draft, as per standard policy, because it would have to be a non-free image. I don't really understand how to upload images to Wikimedia Commons, or correctly file it to comply with the policy on non-free images. Is there any chance I could get someone to upload an image for me so I can put it in? Ladtrack (talk) 17:06, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks
There were some article and WikiProject talk pages I planned to notify of the NBA WikiProject RfC, but I saw that you beat me to it on every single one; spared me some work. Thanks (p.s. great minds think alike) Left guide (talk) 05:36, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, are you going to vote? I don't think I can because I made the RfC, but you should be able to. The other people in the discussion haven't been shy about it at all. Ladtrack (talk) 20:42, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I may at some point if/when I form a stance that also seems like it might meaningfully influence the discussion. You are free to !vote in an RfC you start; there's no prohibition against that. Cheers, Left guide (talk) 09:11, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
AP Newsroom Old Photos Project
Whats up bro, I just remembered our exchange at the Wilt Chamberlain page where we both agreed that AP Newsroom has hella pages pre-1964 that we can use (Only in newspaper in us tho) but we can work with that
A good place to start might be George Mikan. His photo is kind of weird (and also from college), and there's some other good choices, like this or this. Plus, like with Wilt, probably another half a dozen photos that could maybe go into the article. One nice thing about Mikan is that his whole basketball career is pre-1964.
