Autopatrolled granted![]() Hi Dantheanimator, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers. Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! You recently made a large number of article submissions, some of which were done well beyond the seven-day window allowed for submissions by the contest rules. After discussing with another coordinator, I've decided to accept your submissions this once, assuming good faith in case you were unaware of that limitation. I'd ask that you review the rules carefully and make sure that future submissions are made on time, as we will not be able to provide that leniency again. Please let me or another coordinator know if you have any questions. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 23:04, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
Russian occupation administrationsHi Dantheanimator, I hope to encourage you to collect all the research you have scattered around the lists about Russian administration and collate it somewhere. The obvious place is likely Russian temporary administrative agencies in occupied Ukraine, a very poor article which has very little information about the administration, that provides far less insight than your tucked away footnotes. It's an important topic that can be tricky to cover, and the Kherson summary is well written. I have a memory of Russia also adjusting their borders for either Donestk or Luhansk by shuffling some raions around but can't find exactly what that was right now. The article could probably use something about passportisation, although that's a separate topic from local administrative boundaries. Also saw your conversation above, I too was completely unaware of the seven day rule until a couple days ago. Seems odd! CMD (talk) 07:58, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
About list of cities in Kyiv OblastHello, I want to make a comment on the inclusion of Kyiv in the List of cities in Kyiv Oblast. While I see why Kyiv should be mentioned (it's the administrative centre after all), it is technically not a part of Kyiv Oblast so I think it shouldn't be on the list itself (in its current state, the page implies that Kyiv is a part of Kyiv Oblast, just not a part of any raion). This situation is not equivalent to Sevastopol in Crimea as the List of cities in Crimea lists the cities in, well, Crimea (the Crimean Peninsula - a geographic region, not an administrative division), a concept that covers the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. Meanwhile Kyiv Oblast is exclusively an administrative division, not a geographic region like the page suggests ("the city of Kyiv... is the most populous city in the geographic area"). Ukrainian hromada names questionHi, thanks for your work on many pages relating to Ukraine. Specifically, thanks for creating many of the Ukrainian hromada pages, which I know takes a quite a bit of time. I do though notice some uncertainty regarding the hromada names, especially for ones which are not named after their respective admin. centers (quite rare though). For example, the Kamianka settlement hromada is named after the admin. center town Kamianka, instead of named "Bilmak" like the Ukrainian version of the hromada page. But, in Poliske settlement hromada, the name follows the Ukrainian name, and not the town center of Krasiatychi. Similar questions also arise in the following hromadas (that I have found so far): Sofiivka rural hromada, Suvorove settlement hromada, Zolochivska rural hromada, Prystolychna rural hromada, and Feodosiivka rural hromada. I don't know if editors have already discussed this question, but it certainly deserves some attention, at least a general consensus on which to follow would be helpful. Any previous consensus or personal thoughts about this? Thanks! TeddyRoosevelt1912 (talk) 19:39, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
