Hitler-fighter articles need help: Erhard Auer & Münchener Post

Erhard Auer was the Editor in Chief of the Münchener Post, it was shut down by Hitler in March 1933 immediately after he became the Reich Chancellor. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party called the newspaper and its editors "Giftküche" (The Poison Kitchen) and "Münchener Pest ("Munich Pestilence" or "Munich Plague"). Hitler considered the paper one of his most vexing public adversaries, and the paper was the target of libel actions by the Nazi Party. The paper was one of the few early warning voices regarding the dangers posed by the rise of the Nazi Party, although their warnings went largely unheeded at the time. Auer was imprisoned in the Dachau concentration camp and died 20 March 1945. There was no malice or harm intended. Because of the sensitive nature of the topic, I had not wanted to stray too far from the contents of the source I cited. Reviewing my addition, I see now how I tried and failed to do a close paraphrasing, having left in two sentence fragments (39 to 43 words by my count) that remained identical to the source. I take full responsibility for the mistake. I had exercised poor judgment and I am truly sorry.
I have attempted to rewrite the paragraph and I would like to ask if you could kindly review it:
Defendants lied to investigators and the public about the murder weapon. According to a Vera Files report, General Prospero Olivas promoted the theory that a Magnum .357 taken from Galman was used in Aquino’s assassination. However, Olivas excluded from his accounts chemistry report C-83-1136, which showed that fragments extracted from Aquino were from a .38 caliber or .45 caliber revolver.

Hi, @Howard the Duck. I took the rule to mean Indigenous peoples of Australia, Asia, and the rest of the world, and not exclusively to Native American peoples. I think this would be consistent with AP style (https://apnews.com/article/archive-race-and-ethnicity-9105661462), though I understand Wikipedia has its own style recommendations. I am basing my interpretation on this passage: "The capitalized form will be more appropriate in the company of other upper-case terms of this sort (Asian–Pacific, Black, Hispanic, Native American, Indigenous, and White demographic categories)", and taking it to apply not just to North American usage, but I could also be reading this wrong. The terms "Hispanic", "Asian-Pacific", and "Native American" are almost exclusively North American, implying the others in the set are North American usages, as well. These race labels are mostly done on settler countries. The Japanese don't lump themselves with Koreans and Tongans as "Asian-Pacific" on their census, for example. Journalism in the Philippines during ML

Hi. I see you've been working on the Journalism in the Philippines during the Marcos Dictatorship. I was just thinking that the page needs a separate section on "The Campus Press" under history, and possibly a section for "Individuals Honored at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani" as well. Funny, I was just thinking about that, re Bantayog honorees, especially bec I was looking at Religious sector resistance against the Marcos dictatorship#Martyrs and Heroes honored at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani that you've been working on. And I've already found a CMFR article that lists Ditto Sarmiento, Joe Burgos, etc. Feel free to start the section if you have time, I'd be happy to help.

Re. campus press: Ultimately this will probably boil down to tracing the group histories of the various campus papers. My problem is that I'm seeing the story even more piecemeal than that - as I go through the biographies of Bantayog honorees who were involved in the campus press at different points in their career. I see three groups, though:
  • those who were in the Campus Press between December 1965 to September 1972 (with '65-'69 and Aug'71 to Sep'72 being exceptional cases) who all moved on to other things, including the UG, Mosquito, and Church Press after Proc.1081;
  • those who joined the Campus Press after 1980 when Marcos was forced to loosen his grip somewhat, with August '83 marking a sudden new freedom; and
  • those who were somehow able to operate in the campus setting between Sep'73 and 1980, including the Metropolitan Assn of Campus Editors, perhaps.
I think any sources covering the CEGP provides a good introduction to the first two groups, while coverage of the third group will be spottier (perhaps drilling down a core narrative based on where Bantayog Honorees were at the time, and then expanding from there to the experiences of those not honored). Lots of tracking down fragmented narratives. Fortunately, two or three of those individual narratives briefly explore the broader setting to provide a foundation for a broader narrative framework.
