Unternehmen Donnerkeil (Operation Thunderbolt)^[4]^[5]^[6] adalah nama kode untuk operasi militer Jerman pada Perang Dunia Kedua. Donnerkeil merupakan operasi superioritas udara untuk mendukung Operasi Cerberus, juga dikenal sebagai Channel Dash oleh Kriegsmarine (Angkatan Laut Jerman).

Operasi yang dilakukan oleh Wehrmacht ini bertujuan untuk menyelamatkan 3 Kapal perang utama Hitler, yaitu kapal penjelajah tempur Gneisenau dan Scharnhorst, serta kapal penjelajah Prinz Eugen melewati blokade AL dan AU Inggris di selat Inggris dengan perlindungan Luftwaffe (AU Jerman).

Selama Channel Dash, Luftwaffe mengalahkan serangan udara Inggris di kapal Jerman, memungkinkan mereka mencapai perairan Jerman. Dalam pertempuran udara yang terjadi di Selat, Inggris menderita banyak kerugian tanpa bisa kembali; Kerugian Jerman tidak banyak dan operasi tersebut mencapai tujuannya.

Akhirnya, ketiga kapal perang utama Kriegsmarine itu berhasil mencapai Norwegia dengan selamat. Adolf Galland, yang bertanggung jawab atas operasi itu menganggapnya sebagai titik puncak dari kariernya.
