De Mytilidae zyn e familie van twêekleppige molluuskn in d' orde Mytilida. 't Zyn kleene toet groote zoutwoatermussels. Eén van de geslachtn, de Limnoperna, leeft in e brakke of zoetwoateromgevienge.
D' orde bestoat alleene moar uut die eene familie die e stik of 52 geslachtn bevat. De bekendste soorte is de geweune mussel (Mytilus edulis).
