Virtualization software

A virtualization software is a computer program which can be used to run virtual machines also known as a Virtual Environment on a host computer. A host machine can be either of type hardware-assisted or of type os-level virtualization. A virtualization software by default ensures complete isolation and separation between the host and the guest machines. Many most commonly used virtualization softwares are:

  1. VMware Workstation
  2. VirtualBox
  3. Hyper-V
  4. QEMU
  5. ProxMox
