Forum Asset Management was established in 1996 and is located in Toronto, Canada.[2] Forum was founded by Richard Abboud, who serves as the company's CEO. In 2024, he received the title of CEO of the Year from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.[1][4][5] The firm emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and making a positive impact on communities. Forum manages both residential and commercial properties, with assets valued at over $1.7 billion. This includes a self-storage fund called "Make Space Storage", which is valued at $200 million and was acquired in January 2024. [6][7][8][9]
In July 2022, Forum helped with a second round of growth equity investment in Broadlinc, a digital media company based in the United States. In 2023, the firm donated $125,000 to the Lang School of Business at the University of Guelph. This donation was intended to support education related to the real estate industry.[10][11]
In February 2024, Forum bought two head office buildings belonging to NB Power, located in downtown Fredericton.[12][13]

They have also acquired Alignvest Student Housing REIT in a deal valued at $700 million.
