The Simple Inglis Wikipaedia is an Inglis edeetion o the online encyclopaedia Wikipaedia, primarily written in Basic Inglis an Special Inglis.[1] It is ane o five Wikipaedias written in an Inglis leid, the ithers bein the Inglis Wikipaedia, the Scots Wikipaedia, the Pitkern–Norfuk Wikipaedia, an the Auld Inglis Wikipaedia (tho the last is lairgely unintelligible tae a native Inglis speaker). Launched on November 17, 2003, the steid haes the statit aim o providin an encyclopedia for "fowk wi different needs, such as students, childer, adults wi learnin difficulties an fowk who are tryin tae learn Inglis".[2] As o October, 2025, the steid contains aboot 274,000 content pages, an haes aboot 1,649,000 registered uisers, o whom 4163 are currently active.[3]
