Hello. Project members are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. There is a $100 prize in memory of Marnette D for the editor who destubs and improves the most articles for film, TV, theatre and literature. If you are interested in winning some vouchers to help you buy books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles for your project improved during the month, sign up if interested.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:55, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

GAN of Irony

I've nominated Irony for GA status. (It hasn't posted to the list of nominations due to an issue with ChristieBot.) Any chance someone here would be willing to take on the review? I would also welcome bold edits or suggestions for improvement.

New WikiProject

Hello!

I propose a WikiProject with the working title of Art & Architecture Copyedits.

The proposed WikiProject has two main goals:

  1. To copyedit any articles related to Art & Architecture that have the copyedit or clarify tag, and
  2. To create a supportive, welcoming space for newcomers. Experienced editors are also very appreciated, especially for the proposal process, but the WikiProject, once created, will mainly be recruiting newcomers.

If you would like to join, please do comment below, and I'll ping you during the proposal to confirm your intent. I will be posting this message on all related WikiProjects. All experience levels appreciated! 22ManzanaBoy (talk) 14:58, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request for neutral creation of biography: Susie Hodge

Hello — I’m requesting help from a neutral, experienced editor to create an article on Susie Hodge (British author and art historian), as my own conflict of interest prevents me from doing so.

She has written over 150 books, many for major publishers including Thames & Hudson, Tate Publishing, Laurence King, Frances Lincoln, and Greenfinch. Her books have won awards, been selected in national press "books of the year" lists, and appeared on bestseller lists. She has also appeared widely in broadcast media (CNN, Channel 5’s Great Paintings of the World, Studio 10 Australia, WNYC), and given talks at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Bath Literary Festival, Dallas Museum of Art, the Royal Academy (London), PUCRS (Brazil), and more.

Significant independent coverage exists, meeting WP:AUTHOR and WP:GNG criteria. A draft with references is here: Draft:Susie Hodge.

Any volunteer willing to take on the creation or improvement of this article would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Susie Hodge (talk) 20:33, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Susie, it looks like that draft was deleted as AI-generated advertising. You might have more luck with a draft that handles just the finding-sources part rather than writing any of the prose yourself. A useful draft could consist only of a list of books, with citations to at least two book reviews for each book. If there have been any newspaper or magazine profiles published with biographical information, you could also list 2-3 in a "further reading" section. Book of the year lists, media appearances, and talks are not useful for writing encyclopedia articles so there is no need to include them.
You are allowed to use the "Articles for Creation" process to submit a draft with a conflict of interest, using Wikipedia:Article wizard. Just make sure you declare the conflict of interest. I would also be willing to take a look at your draft to work on it if you create something like what I have described; you can get my attention by including {{u|LEvalyn}} in a message. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 21:59, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion criteria for Impact events in fiction

I've just started a discussion at Talk:Impact events in fiction and it would be useful for editors with thoughts on inclusion criteria for articles like "X in fiction" to contribute to that discussion. If you have thoughts, please come bring them — OwenBlacker (he/him; Talk) 18:09, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
