Wikipedia talk:Help desk
Line break at the very topI'm browsing Wikipedia with Chrome 137.0.7151.120 (Official Build) (64-bit) and a resolution of 1919x1079. When I view the top of the Help Desk, I see: Welcome—ask questions about how to use or edit Wikipedia! (Am I in When I copy/paste the content from Wikipedia:Help desk/Header to here, I get the same result. Why is there a line break in the middle of "Am I in the right place"? If I take a screenshot and paste it in Paint, and then move "the right place?)" to the end of the first line, the whole thing is on the left side of the screen; it's basically above the "Ask a question" button at the centre. It looks bizarre, and since the whole text is just half the width of my screen, it's obviously not forced by running out of room on the first line. Is it some weirdness with my browser, or something caused by the wikitext? Note that the code has nothing at this point, so if it's a wikitext error, it's more subtle. How/where can I report this properly? 47.229.148.219 (talk) 17:59, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
WP:YWhat is the rationale behind the WP:Y shortcut to the associated project page? WP:Y NOT? The shortcut is currently saving the Solar System ~570 keystrokes per year, while being no easier to remember than WP:HD. Other star systems: unknown. ―Mandruss ☎ IMO. 21:49, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
