Valiant Artificial Lift Solutions is an independent, global provider of technologies and services for oil and gas production.

History

Valiant Artificial Lift Solutions was founded by Gareth C. Ford, following the acquisitions of Woodgroup ESP by GE Oil and Gas and, soon after, the acquisition of GE Oil and Gas by Baker Hughes.[1]

Valiant's headquarters was established in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2016. Later that year, the company set up its first facility in Midland, Texas.

In 2021, Valiant opened a second facility in Midland, Texas.

In 2024, the company opened a dedicated sales office in Midland, Texas — further expanding its presence in the Permian Basin (North America) region.

Joint ventures

In 2018, Valiant and Weatherford International formed a brief alliance to jointly commercialize ESPs internationally. [2]

Product lines

Electric submersible pump systems

Valiant offers electric submersible pumping systems, or ESPs, that are suitable for conventional and unconventional oil/water production applications.[3][4] Valiant Pumps are offered in 3.38", 4.00", 5.38", and 6.75" diameter.

In 2020, Valiant expanded its ESP product line to include the specialized VESPER® Linear ESP as an alternative to rod pumps in low-flow, high-gas unconventional wells. [5]

Horizontal pump systems

Valiant offers horizontally mounted multistage centrifugal pumping systems, or HPS, units that can be configured with pumps of varying sizes and can produce volumes from a few hundred to over 100,000 barrels per day.[6] Valiant's HPS units are suitable for saltwater disposal, amine treatment, gas processing, pipeline boosting, and other liquids/condensate handling applications.

Controls and 24/7 well surveillance

Valiant's PULSE® variable speed drives provide controls to slow down, speed up, automate, and maintain ESP or HPS systems.[7] Additionally, Valiant's surface controls can be connected to web-based monitoring tools.

In 2024, Valiant launched its OPTIMUS™ Viz-Ops program, providing 24/7 well surveillance and remote intervention for its active ESP wells across the globe.
