Utpal Kumar Singh
Utpal Kumar Singh (born 29 July 1960[1][2]) is an Indian bureaucrat and retired IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre[3] who has served as the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha since 30 November 2020.[4][5] Early lifeSingh was born to Braj Kishore Singh and Annapurna Singh in 1960.[1] EducationSingh completed his master's degree in B.A (hons), M.A (History) from Kirori Mal College Delhi University and International Institute of Social Studies. He subsequently received a M.A in Public Policy and Management from a university in The Hague, Netherlands.[1] CareerSingh has held several positions at the center[clarification needed], including Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.[6][7] During his tenure as Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand (2017–2020), Singh worked alongside several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including Vinod Prasad Raturi, who held the position of Revenue Secretary at that time.[8] Personal lifeSingh was married to Nipunika Singh and they have one child.[1] References
