Please keep the following in mind though:

• Per MOS:DATETIES, articles related to the U.S. should have mdy dates. Please add {{use mdy dates|date=currentmonth currentyear}} at the top of any new article, and also follow that format throughout it.
• For the election sidebar template, please use {{Elections in statename sidebar}}, not any of its redirects (like {{Elections in statename}} or {{ElectionsXX}}). You'll find the correct names in Category:United States election year sidebar templates.
• Please don't add the {{currentyear elections in the United States}} navbox at the bottom unless the article you're creating is linked from that particular navbox (see WP:BIDIRECTIONAL). Oftentimes it's not, but for odd-year elections, it could be, because there are so few elections on odd years.
• When stating dates (in the mdy format) in the middle of a sentence, please don't forget the closing comma per WP:COMMA.

I have edited some election articles you've created recently to fix this. It's better if things are correct from the start. ;-)

@HandsomeFella hey, I believe that I have been doing (most) of this, besides the election sidebar. You removed a YYYY in the 2026 Alabama Attorney General election that was bidirectional. Ok, my mistake there, thanks for noticing it. I have re-added the template.

Re: access-date in refs, it doesn't need to follow mdy if you have the [use mdy dates] template, bc the software will then present it as mdy, but why not write it that way to begin with? Like in case you forget the [use mdy dates] template.

I was wondering why my draft for the 2025 LIU Sharks football team was rejected, when other articles for teams in the conference/area, like 2025 Central Connecticut Blue Devils football team or 2025 Sacred Heart Pioneers football team were approved. Hi @VermontPowderKing, through the WP:AFC process, reviewers do not generally take into account presumed coverage of the subject, and a season for a college team does not automatically meet WP:GNG. The 5 previous articles featured the exact same sources as mine, and they were approved. Furthermore, articles for more notable teams like 2025 Florida Gators football team feature the same amount of articles, and were approved. I don't understand why you are nominating this article for deletion when it lists a starter note as to when the election will take place, without getting ito specifics. It's an important starter, and I don't know why we can't just add more information to the article as time progresses, and that's why I don't see any valid reason in deleting this article. Hi, I can see the issues with some of these. I would suggest that you attempt to communicate with the user, even if you receive no response. Page protection increases can be requested at WP:RPP, you also have tools available to assign warnings, see WP:WARN. If issues still continue then the next course of action would be to start a discussion at WP:ANI, but make sure to read over the recommendations there.

First thing is to attempt to contact the user though, or start discussions on the talk pages of articles that you feel are being unnecessarily edited. Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 23:34, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
