Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Rade BastaHello SeanTVT, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Rade Basta, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A10 does not apply to drafts. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:06, 4 May 2023 (UTC) QuestionHello I'm actually new here but how do you do things like removing edits that aren't needed? Speedy tagsHi, I've noticed that you've been tagging a lot of drafts for speedy deletion recently. Some of your tags have been OK, but others such as [1][2][3] are inappropriate and many are borderline at best. You don't have very much experience on Wikipedia, and I'd encourage you to spend less of your time aggressively policing others' contributions. Inappropriate speedy tags can discourage new users from contributing (see WP:BITE). My personal opinion is that tagging for G11 in draftspace is often a waste of time unless it's truly egregious (e.g.
Wrongful deletion of draft that is in the process of being edited...Hi, I'm following up along with the last critique you were given about deleting pages too hastily. The page Draft:Ben Patrick was wrongfully deleted, as this was my first article. This article had been submitted for review twice and the last comment I was given directed me to the tea house (which I was unaware existed). It also was explicitly commented that: "... IF this draft is resubmitted without being reworked, [THEN] it MAY be nominated for deletion." I listened to this warning and was in the process of seeking help for edits, but then you deleted this draft because you thought it "seemed" promotional, despite the fact that you say: "MANY times I tag those drafts you mention WITHOUT even looking through CAREFULLY. Hopefully in the future I won't make those mistakes again." How come instead of deleting the page, you didn't just give me some objective and constructive critiques for which parts of the article you had an issue with?
Change of infoboxMay I know why the change of the infobox was reverted? It was changed because the new one contained more accurate and concrete information about a public figure. Martinenriquearg (talk) 16:11, 1 June 2023 (UTC) Move to draft spaceRecently you moved the page User:PersonalityAI to User:Ludovic Blecher. However, the account "Ludovic Blecher" does not exist; and this content is not appropriate for a userpage anyway. This should have gone to the draft article space, so I have moved it to Draft:Ludovic Blecher. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:46, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Arnav KapurHello YesI'mOnFire, I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Arnav Kapur for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles. If you don't want Arnav Kapur to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks! Usernames for admin attentionThanks for your enthusiasm in reporting accounts to WP:UAA. However, admins won't consider accounts that have no edit history. The instructions at the top of the page include a condition that "Promotional names require evidence to be blocked. Do not report a username merely because it "appears" promotional." So, please first check that the account has made edits and that they were related to the company/organization/group. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:11, 27 July 2023 (UTC) speedly deletion of nainika anasuruBrother, what is the problem, what is the problem, what problem are you facing in the page created by me that you had put the tag of speedly deletion on it. Now everything that I had written has been deleted. This page was being created as per the orders of Nainika. What do you see wrong in this that you have taken this step, tell me what should I do now and what should I not do so that there is no problem in creating the page, I want to create the same page again, I want to write her biography in the name of Nainika, I want to write about her. 𝙳𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚖𝚁𝚒𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚛 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚌𝚞𝚜𝚜 12:00, 30 July 2023 (UTC) WP:UAA reports on users with no editsGenerally, there is no reason to report usernames with no edits whatsoever. Per WP:UAAI: "Only report accounts with edits and do not report those with no edits in the preceding 2 weeks. Do not report a user that has not edited or has not edited in the preceding 2 weeks, except for an instance of an egregious name violation. We do not want to welcome productive editors with a report at UAA, nor do we want to waste time dealing with accounts that may never be used." The exceptions are obvious hate speech or names that attack a living person/Wikipedia editor, those are blockable even without any edits, but other run-of-the-mill violations such as names of organizations or products need not be reported unless and until they at least attempt to edit, and you should be able to clearly explain what the problem is if it is not immediately evident. For whatever reason, every day dozens, if not hundreds of accounts are created that never make one single edit. It is our responsibility as admins to conscientiously review every report a user makes at UAA, so we have to check for contribs, deleted contribs, and tripping of the edit filter for every one of these reports, only to find out there's nothing there and therefore no problem to be solved. That's time that could be spent doing more productive things, but you basically obligate admins to do it by making such reports. Beeblebrox (talk) 15:18, 4 August 2023 (UTC) Speedy deletionsYesI'mOnFire, please read the speedy deletion policy:
The appropriate response to a speedy deletion tag is either to discuss with the person who declined it (me), or to follow what the policy says and seek another way to delete it (miscellany for deletion in this instance), or perhaps take your declined tag as an indication that deletion was not warranted. It is not to revert the declination of the tag. You were previously warned by Spicy about your speedy deletion tags, and back then you admitted that you tagged many drafts This needs to stop. Some of your tags are good, and I have deleted pages that you have tagged. But fundamentally, as someone who was active tagging pages for speedy deletion before I became an administrator, you cannot go into speedy deletions with an attitude that it's all about speed. We have a duty to be welcoming to newcomers. Not every page that you dislike meets the criteria for speedy deletion. Please work more carefully. I am participating in a research class called Writing Women into the Canon of Architecture and Landscape Architecture led by Tijana Vujosevic at the University of British Columbia. The main objective of the class is to shed light on women architects in the global scale and publish as many Wikipedia pages as we can during the course. So far, there are about 80+ profiles that are in the works. I acknowledge that the article may not be 100% ready. However, the goal of the class is to get as many articles published to open up the floor for further collaboration and contribution. J0708x (talk) 16:39, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 08:21, 11 August 2023 (UTC) PatrollingHello, YesI'mOnFire, I see you are an active patrolling but are not an official member of the New Page Patrol (Wikipedia:New pages patrol). You might consider applying to do that job since you are basically doing it any way. It's great to have a community of editors doing similar tasks that you can ask questions of if they arise. They are a very dedicated group of editors. Right now though, I'd like to ask you to please not tag for deletion pages minutes after they have been created. It's not fair to the content creator and it's unrealistic to expect an editor in their first few edits to a page to have a perfectly toned, non-promotional, well-referenced article. Usually the first edits are just to get content on the page and then the editor works polish it up and track down references. Give the editor time to polish their prose! I think the NPP standard is to give editors at least an hour before considering tagging a new article or draft for deletion. Additionally, it is extremely discouraging for a brand new editor to try to write an article and then immediately be informed that it will be deleted. Mostly, they leave and never come back which is bad for a platform like ours that needs a constant influx of new editors in order to build a lasting project. Please consider my request. Thank you. Unless you establish that the page's author is a sockpuppet of a blocked master, and that the page was created after the master was blocked, we cannot delete the page under G5. The SPI report needs to precede the G5 request. The page in question was deleted under a different criterion. Repeated rejections of an individual's verifed accomplishments and workHi there, You have stated a few times that the information added to Mohamed Lachemi's page did not have a neutral pov. The research section most recently added speaks to completed and published research and achievements, which by definition are not neautral - they are accomplishments. In response to previous feedback I have scaled back on adjectives to make the passage more neutral. At the same time, many post academic leaders have similar listings - I am not sure why this page continues to get that feedback when so many others of the same ilk are written in the same manner and not repeatedly rejected. Any specific feedback you have to improve the neautrality of the content would be helpful to know. Thank you. However, I also wanted to remind you that this tag is not applicable unless the article uses puffery or other non-complying languages. Just because it is written by an authour with a COI, does not mean it has to have the tag. The tag implies the article does not comply with rules. If you still feel the article warrants it, then feel free to keep it, however you must add a reason in the talk page as per the When to use rules or it may be removed. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Mthobisi Masilela![]() Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that User:Mthobisi Masilela, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Please warn users making unconstructive editsHello and thank you for recently undoing unconstructive edits on Paneer. In the future, when you undo unconstructive edits, could you please use the appropriate template to warn the user (IP or registered) to stop their behaviour? There are many different warning templates available to use. Here are some common ones; please see their documentation pages for instructions:
Each time we use these warnings they should be placed under the title "==September 2025==" (updated to the current month and year), on the user's talk page. Beyond those listed above, there are also higher level warnings for continued unconstructive editing (see the template documentation for details); if previous warnings have been given under that title, add the next level warning beneath the others, within that section. Individual cases must be dealt with as seems appropriate. If the user has not been actively unconstructively editing for a few weeks or months, start a new section. It may sometimes be appropriate to cut to the chase and use:
The value of warning is three-fold:
If a vandal is on a spree or has reached a level 4 vandalism warning and is currently active, waste no time in reporting them to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge.
