SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:33, 9 July 2011 (UTC) Bob DylanHi Wikilrsc, I apologise if my edit seemed rude. I acknowledge that you have been editing since 2005, you've made 11,000 edits, and have a v good track record, and it was a WP:GF edit. I have also been editing since 2005, I've made less edits than you - probably around 5,500 - but I have focused my attention on Bob Dylan and associated articles. I've received 4 barnstars and 3 WP:FA barnstars, so I take editing seriously, and I enjoy collaborating with other editors. I should not have been so peremptory. What I meant to convey was: there has been repeated pressure on the Bob Dylan article by editors & administrators who believe the article is too long; several times a shortening of this WP:FA article has been requested when it went through 3 WP:FAR reviews. I believe it is unnecessary to have a section called Further Reading, when the References already list 20 biographies and scholarly books about Dylan. I confess I have not read Yaffe's book. I have read reviews which indicate that it is OK, it's not ground-breakingly brilliant, and it's not terrible. But do we need a Further Reading section? As someone who has read a lot of books on Dylan, and written a lot of articles about Dylan (my published articles are here[1]), I would query whether Yaffe's book is more significant than Heylin's Behind The Shades, Shelton's No Direction Home, Sounes's Down The Highway, or Gray's The Bob Dylan Encyclopedia which are just 4 highly regarded books on Dylan. Isis magazine, a Dylan magazine, estimates that in 2011, the year of Dylan's 70th birthday, at least 50 serious book on Dylan have been published. The WP article cannot mention them all. One way forward might be to launch a new section on the Talk page of Bob Dylan, entitled "Further Reading?" This would ask the editors of this page if they support a Further Reading section. I would contribute my opinion that it is unnecessary, based on the argument that some editors/administrators have complained that the Dylan article is already too long. And that the most highly regarded Dylan books are already listed in the Reference section. I agree that, as you write, "the Wikipedia community owns the article, not one gatekeeper or editor". I would be happy to abide by a consensus on the Further Reading issue - as it emerges on the Talk page. best wishes Mick gold (talk) 14:49, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

When you recently edited Esther Forbes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bradford College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Since you're uploading free-use images, I'd like to encourage you to uploaded them to Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) instead. It works much the same way as uploading images on Wikipedia, only it allows images to be used on Wikipedia projects in all languages. You can go to Wikipedia:Unified login to make your Wikipedia login work on Commons and all other Wikipedia projects. Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 04:16, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
After uploading a couple more today, I started commons:Category:MBTA dedication plaques. I've got a shot of the one at Airport buried somewhere in my SD cards. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:13, 19 June 2013 (UTC) There was a symposium on Abele in Philadelphia about 10 years ago. One of the goals was to try to suss out what of Trumbauer's oeuvre was his own, and what should be credited to Abele and others. Trumbauer paid for Abele's travel in Europe, and Abele may have studied privately with architects associated with the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, but there is no documentation that he ever was enrolled there. One panelist checked the Ecole's records, which do not list Abele. And he certainly couldn't have graduated from a school he never attended. The panelist also noted that Abele, in his application for admission into the AIA, listed nothing about the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. I'm sure you're working with the best of intentions, but perpetuating errors is helpful to no one. -- BoringHistoryGuy (talk) 15:48, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
