Excellent work here! I hope it sticks. Can you believe that the Darfur genocide isn't getting even 6% of the attention that the Israel's action against Hamas and Hezbollah got? And that the number of deaths in Darfur and Congo in the last 10 years are at least 100-200 times as many as in the entire 100 year history of the Arab-Israeli conflict! --GHcool (talk) 01:02, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Under WP:ARBPIA you are banned from editing any article or article talk page related to Israel, the Palestinean territories, or nearby Arab countries, broadly construed, for the remainder of the 2009 calendar year. I am not going to undo this ban, so the appeal process would be to establish consensus the ban should be overturned. You can also appeal to the Arbitration Committee. I was never notified of any ruling, and the proposed topic-ban of weeks ago was not assessed by an uninvolved admin and was lost in the archives. Philknight, you confirmed your endorsement of the ban and have been actively campaigning for it - I would expect a neutral, apolitical, and uninvolved administrator to make such a judgment. Right, why was I not notified of this thread? No one responded to my very thorough rationales and the original proposal went stale in the archives. I thought an uninvolved admin would assess the proposal, not an admin who has been actively campaigning for a ban well before the proposal was submitted. Plus, I have a mentor - User:Gimme danger. Wikifan, with all due respect, you need to start listening to your critics instead of always arguing that they are wrong. The recent ANI thread showed a clear consensus for a topic ban, and the fact that it has only just been enacted is not at all relevant. The fact that it is a topic ban rather than an outright ban shows that the community feels that you do yave something to offer. This topic ban gives you a clear opportunity to show the community how well you can edit without the burden of your strong opinions on Arab-Israeli issues. Kevin (talk) 22:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
