Hi there! I need your help to stop Michge editing A5 and A7 please because they are range of luxury fastback coupe cars like 4 door Amg GT coupe, Mercedes CLS-Class, VW Arteon, 4 series Gran Coupe, Kia Stinger, Tesla Model 3, Porsche Panamera and more examples. I don't know why Michge doesn't know what is fastback, and it used the term liftback instead of it! Hi there, I stumbled upon a few Wikipedia articles for brands and ecommerce products that are incorrectly labeled. I checked out your edit to Dollar Rent A Car last month, as an example, and the brand's official name is Dollar Car Rental. Is there a way to update this, or would a new page have to be created? You should start by adding the requested move template to the top of the page. See Template:Requested move for more info. You would add {{subst:Requested move| Dollar Car Rental| reason=This is the actual company name.}} Then people can agree or disagree on the Talk page. If after a few days, there are no objections, then move the page. Clicking on "More" then "Move" on the menu above the article is the easiest way. --Vossanova ^o< 14:51, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

I am painting the Presidential Limo used by Gerald R Ford for the G R Ford Museum in Grand Rapids. It was also used by Reagan and Carter. The limo us on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn MI. They have information on their website about this and the other limos. I have added them to timelines which are formatted by model year, where all (or most) 2019 models are either on sale now or have been announced for sale by the auto makers. These are mostly North American automobile timelines, or brands based in NA, where model year is used. --Vossanova ^o< 19:46, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

I think there was rule that model years are only used on cars that are sale only us? WP:MODELYEARS as part of WP:AUTOCONV. Infobox production field is always calendar years. Infobox model years field is always model years. For most articles, section titles, captions, table headings and prose are calendar years. Exception (outside of the infobox production and model years fields) is allowed for vehicles built in the US primarily for the US market.  Stepho  talk  23:58, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Vossanova. I could say that I am a fan of Chevrolet Suburban and other vehicles from GM since they would have redesigns or facelifts for the next decade of the year, which is 2020. But my speculation is that all of my contributions of my edits on the Suburban, Tahoe GMC Yukon, and Escalade were undone.

I know that their is a WP:AUTOCONV#Unannounced vehicles rule on Wikipedia and I am trying my best on editing carefully but what I searched on Google about the upcoming SUVs from General Motors are kind of having redesigns for 2019-2020, based on Autoblog and GM Authority. They also expected those to have new features, engines, and air curtains (2020 Tahoe and Suburban), based on camouflaged testings and peeks from the design cues.

Now I did know that I would edit those articles about their redesigns and facelifts next year and I could focus on editing more on total sales, characteristics, and news regarding those cars so that my edits will not be removed and I will not be banned in using Wikipedia. Thanks...

By the way, you are an expert of cars so next year, if there are official updates regarding the 2020 SUVs from GM, you can analyze and then add it if it is really official.

Can you analyze those information on these articles if they are official and in case that they are official, you may add it on the Wikipedia articles regarding those. Hi Vossanova! About 2 years ago I wrote a biography of a living person article [Chalabyan]. The article has been recently marked as up for deletion. Any advice on why this might be happening, how to address it or what to improve would really be appreciated. If this page will be not updated with new information and because of removing my edits, then this is not anymore official. VOSSANOVA, there is a 2019 Mazda 3 going on and why would you remove my edits about its spy shots... A lot of Wikipedia pages about cars have information regarding the spy shots of the new car so this is LOGIC. Since you remove my edits for the Chevy Suburban, all GM SUVs, Chevrolet Silverado, and NOW, STOP REMOVING my edits regarding cars because all WIKI PAGES should be updated frequently to make it not outdated or you may be blocked or banned from editing. @King.montero: If someone like me keeps reverting your edits, maybe it's a sign that you should read up on Wikipedia policies for adding content. WP:NOTABILITY and WP:NPOV are a good start. Also, I would recommend participating in Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles, especially the talk page. In fact, they have a guideline at WP:AUTOCONV#Unannounced vehicles, that information about future or speculative vehicles that have not been officially announced by their manufacturer should not be discussed. The new Mazda3 is well known, but has not been officially announced by Mazda. The reason behind this policy is that WP:VERIFIABILITY is difficult on future vehicles, and unofficial information is considered speculation, and WP:NOTCRYSTAL. Finally, think about what happens when you add info about spy shots to every generation of every car, and several years pass. Will info about spy shots about a car made 10 years ago still be notable and worth reading, or will it just get in the way of other info? --Vossanova ^o< 15:49, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Vossanova, but what if the info is not in the news release and press release from Chevrolet. The press releases I saw regarding the Silverado are older than now like January-October. And if there is none, then we have to get it from other sites that show the related info about it. An editor should be strategic in adding information from trusted sites related to the Silverado 2019 like Top Speed, CNET or TFL instead on relying on Chevy or GM Press news and other releases because press news regarding Chevy vehicles and others are NOT UPDATED FREQUENTLY and can take very long to wait for a new one like the news regarding the ZH2 concept. Since that Chevy or GM Motors did not post an update regarding the ZH2, then you should go to trusted sites related to that vehicle and add it on Wikipedia. Thanks for your post on VPP. I agree that it's bad writing and I think it not only is a facile attempt at appearing extra formal or factual, but also shows confusion on the editor's part as to the relationship of the source to the content. One, when a fact was first disseminated is usually not relevant to the fact itself such that it should be included in the article prose, rather than just in the citation as the source's date of publication. Two, just because a fact is sourced to a reference published on a certain date does not in and of itself establish that it was "announced" on that date.

It's very widespread, however, so I don't know that we can do much more than trim it down where we see it (try searching for the phrase "it was announced" and you'll find a lot of good copyediting candidates). Similarly with any other source information that has unnecessarily leaked into the prose out of the ref tag: "According to [source], [fact]."<ref>[source]</ref> It's especially ridiculous when it's clear that the source chosen was reliable but completely arbitrary among many possible sources, because such usage incorrectly suggests that particular source is the only one asserting that fact. Unless that source is itself part of the story of the article's subject (such that other sources comment on that source), we should typically just have in the article "[fact]."<ref>[source]</ref> postdlf (talk) 20:59, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

It is a case of WP:OVERCATEGORIZATION when you place an article in both a parent category and one of its subcategories. Like you did here[1]. Cars introduced in 2019 is a subcategory of 2010 cars....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 11:30, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

@Rathfelder: A netlabel isn't a store, even if it has its own download page. It's an organization equivalent to a record label. @Whitebro: In the case of production, "rest of world" means all other places where the car is produced, i.e. manufactured. For the Cruze, that would mean China and Argentina. I suppose it could be changed to "N. America" to avoid uncertainly regarding Canada, while still accurately including the US and Mexico assembly plants. --Vossanova ^o< 20:21, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

@Kbhatt22: I normally don't get involved in image edits because it's a hotspot for edit wars, but this IP changed several images back to some dated 2006-2007 (all by User:IFCAR). Going by WP:CARPIX guidelines, the image doesn't necessarily have to be the latest version of the car. However, I take the standard of "the image must be representative" to mean the image can change over time, as older versions of the car become rarer and newer versions become more common. How many 2006 Escalades do you see on the road today? Not many.

So, if the quality of the newer model image is just as good as the other one, use it. But if it's not as good as the older model image, consider the older one instead. --Vossanova ^o< 16:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)\

Thanks for the clarification and update. I agree that the older generation becomes less familiar and also less common so for vehicles in production, higher quality images of newer model years tend to add more value to a reader. I know that my list of independent electric vehicle startups in the article for Lordstown Motors is unnecessary. It's just that Lordstown Motors has recently gone public as a company, and now they are being frequently mentioned with a variety of other EV companies. Could I at the least put Tesla, Inc., Rivian, and Nikola Corporation back as links seeing that they are direct competitors to Lordstown in terms of making electric pickup trucks> Also, Workhorse Group should be a link as Workhorse Group owns 10% of Lordstown stock. @Leiwang7: Anything in the "See also" section should be considered further reading for those interested in the subject matter of Lordstown Motors. Including competing EV manufacturers and companies suggests a relationship between them and LM, while there may not be a relationship other than competitors in the same industry. Would you put General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles under the "See also" section of Ford Motor Company? To see a list of related companies, the reader can either go to the Category page, or find a List of EV companies article. Also, if Rivian, Tesla, or Nikola have a connection to LM that is worth including in the LM article, you can add some text and link them there. --Vossanova ^o< 20:14, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

I recognize the validity of your point about the "See also" section, and I agree with your point about only listing companies with a direct relationship. Readers don't have the option of using the category page on mobile which is why I thought of adding all those competing companies to the "See also" section. I will attempt to find a reputable source that lists LM as a competitor company to Nikola, Rivian and Tesla and add some text with citations. Can I put General Motors in the "See also" section though for LM? I have read that GM has invested millions of dollars into LM. There are reputable sources about their relationship.
