Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot18:19, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
answered on the talk page - I'll add this here - as the edit was meant to be a compramise one.
You said that the page is only about the episodes and spin-off media. Well if you were any more smart than you would know that the video games are spin-off media you so and so. Please just leave them there and not start an edit war. VitasV 28/8/07 —Preceding unsigned comment added by VitasV (talk • contribs) 23:40, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
If they are spin-off material then why does no official source (Doctor Who reference Guide, Outpost Gallifrey OR The Discontinuity Guide) list them as such. Maybe because they're not!!!! - they are merchandise. Are you really suggesting we inlced all the merchandise games? Don't try and threaten me. Incase you haven't noticed, I am THE FOURTH person to remove the games after Digby, Ozoo and Ckatz. You are extremely arrogant and cannot admit that you are wrong. It was the same with The Doctor Who movie, and the monsters. You are determined to get your own way. So not only will I remove them, I will report you FOR VANDALISM. StuartDD09:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm not asking to remove "Mission to the Unknown", I'm asking wheter the section that it is listed in should be changed on the minor point that it doesn't contain the doctor. As for Attack of the Graske, I asked (on the talk page) if there was a reason for it's removal, and was told that it was counted as a game (which I can understand as sit has two possible endings), so I kept it out. Ask (politelty) on the talk page, and see what people think.
Stuart, just a note on vandalism: in order to class an edit as vandalism, you need to be able to assert that it is "addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia". While I think VitasV is wrongheaded in what he does and his approach to doing it, I think he honestly believes he's improving the article.
That isn't to say you can't undo any edits of his that you think are wrong (with the boundaries of WP:3RR and WP:CIVIL etc, naturally). But I doubt any vandalism report is going to be taken seriously if it looks like a content dispute. Cheers. --Mark H Wilkinson(t, c)09:46, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
After repetedly reverted edits, and being told specifically not to include them, and having them removed by Four different people, he still includes them. I think that qualifies as vandalism. An IP would have been blocked long before this. StuartDD09:57, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
It's more likely that something can be done if he's shown to repeatedly go to three reverts, in which case an ANI report on gaming the system can be made. IPs tend to get blocked over 3RR or obvious vandalism. In Vitas's case, the admin who viewed the case noted he hadn't been warned specifically for the reverts he'd made.
Thank you for making a report about VitasV (talk·contribs·block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. In this case no final warning had been issued. Any further problems please don't hesitate to give me a shout or Mark above. Regards Khukri10:11, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Useful link for you
For whenever you do have to caution someone for vandalism or other infractions: Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace provides a list of template messages for anything from inappropriate joke edits to adding links to sites which violate copyright. As advised on the page, only use if you're sure they say what needs to be said. Cheers. --Mark H Wilkinson(t, c)11:10, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi, just a note on what you're doing on Vitas's talk page: current policy means that users are not prevented "from removing comments from their own talk pages, though archiving is preferred". This means he's within his rights to remove notices. There's more on this and related issues on Wikipedia:User page. Cheers. --Mark H Wilkinson(t, c)09:36, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, it was perfectly understandable. One thing to keep in mind, though, is making sure any significant comments come with an easy to fathom summary; so that, for example, if an incorrigible vandal keeps blanking their page, there is a sequence in the page history of "Vandalism notice", "Second vandalism warning", "final warning", etc, which an admin can understand with minimum effort. --Mark H Wilkinson(t, c)13:57, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
"Policy does not prohibit users from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. Deleted warnings can still be found in the page history."
'Tis good. If people come onto wiki they expect info to be acurate. I've already heard people say it's unreliable because anyone can edit. StuartDD ( t • c ) 16:38, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Funny you should say that, but editors aren't generally supposed to treat Wikipedia articles as reliable sources.[1] And it's understandable, really: at any given time, the revision one accesses can be riddled with vandalism, rumours, or just plain falsehoods. It wasn't that long ago that Robin of Sherwood had a fourth season added to it, despite there being no such thing; that particular piece of vandalism stayed up for most of a day before it was dealt with. --Mark H Wilkinson(t, c)16:52, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Interesting. Obviously wiki can't be fully acurate, as things can change rapidly on some occasions - and let's face it, ordinary people edit it so it'll never be perfect. StuartDD ( t • c ) 17:00, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
This person makes unrelistic and uncompremising demands to other users, I feel we should give him a formal warning through his discussion page using the information you gave in your last message. We have to let him know that it is not acceptable to rule over other users in a dictatorship style and if he does not comply and continues to be 'out of order' then we can report him to a member of wikipedia with more authority. Wiggstar6912:41, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your input here - although regrettably, both I (Wiggstar69) and Stuart DD feel you do not take into acount any other opinion then your own and seem quite agressive in your approach when talking to other users;

You have constantly reverted edits concerning the above, even after being asked not to, and been given pretty clear explanations why what you are doing is wrong, and being blocked for breaking WP:3RR.
Do you want to add/edit anything about the letter before it is sent, plus are there any other users we could add to the letter.Wiggstar6915:36, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Try Digby Tantrum and Wryspy. They were involved in hat page to, and Vitas stopped just short of atacking them on there talk pages - including threatning Digby with a vandalism report for removing the games when consensus was to exclude them. StuartDDcontributions08:10, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
I have to say since this has been up his attitude has quite amazingly improved 10 fold (see below), unless we get a reply from any other user in the next two days then we should just send it, that should be plenty of time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiggstar69 (talk • contribs) 21:07, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
The "your very welcome" - maybe. I hope it's not just a one off. I think two days is a good idea, but if he practices it again before then, we should just post it. StuartDDcontributions21:12, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Oh, Stuart, you'd be surprised. I've been blocked for deleting three different pieces of unsourced speculation in three different edits - not a war, as such, just uncontested deletion. The blocking admin said he agreed with all that I'd done, but it was still 3RR. What a cr*p rule.--Porcupine (prickle me!·contribs·status) 14:23, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Just to let you know I went ahead and did the merge. No need for discussion on this one since all other guest-star characters on Torchwood are covered in the list article and all the stub had was some unsourced speculation. It was an AFD magnet. 23skidoo (talk) 15:33, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Please could you place you comments after mine, it makes the text unreadable for you to interspace you comments in the middle of mine, thankyou Fasach Nua (talk) 16:40, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
