Publication of Darwin's theoryThanks for your clarification to Publication of Darwin's theory#Publication of the "Origin of Species" that Ilkley Wells House is in the town of Ilkley. Browne says "in Ilkley", but Desmond and Moore which was the source used describe it as being "in ornamental grounds on the edge of Rumbold's moor, commanding sweeping views over the village and wooded Wharfedale". Presumably Ilkley was a village rather than a town in 1859, and the best description might be "on the edge of the village of Ilkley".
