Hello RexRowan. I am just letting you know that I deleted S0uth park, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 12:53, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Adam, the charity is not happy and would like me to delete everything, and they reported me to the police for copyright violation. They also accuse me of creating fake ID by using RexRowan as a username. I didn't do it to hurt anyone but if I'm gone, you know what it is. -- RexRowan Talk 16:36, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Is that some sort of joke? Have the charity got someone called RexRowan? Do they not know how Wikipedia works? We all have usernames! How did the charity contact you? You should report this to Wikipedia administrators. And what did you allegedly copy vio? Adam Mugliston Talk 17:11, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Adam, this has nothing to do with you. I have enjoyed your lessons and am mostly grateful for my time here on earth with you. I have not gain a penny from all the volunteer work I did, however right or wrong. I have corrected all my mistakes and am ready to suicide anytime. Thank you so much for speaking for me and I am thrilled to have known you. Peace my friend! -- RexRowan Talk 17:25, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
As a mentor, I am virtually obliged to step in to this sort of situation, but if that is your choice then fine. You have been a good adoptee and it's a shame this is the route you have chosen to take. Adam Mugliston Talk 17:46, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
If I need you to clarify confusion or speak for any injustice I shall give you a shout. But please do not worry, I did not intentionally try to damage anyone. -- RexRowan Talk 19:10, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi Adam, everything is ok now. I talked to them and they said they have not got anyone so enthusiastic before and generated websites and wiki page within hours and they panicked. They thought I might be Dr. Evil. Now I talked to them and they are happy for me to build websites and revive the wiki page with their guidelines. So sorry I dragged you through this. -- RexRowan Talk 09:38, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Young Engineers Logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Young Engineers Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:04, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Rowan, we have a new adoptee, Doobie Jefferson. I have told her I am leaving for holiday and I have left her with a lesson. Don't worry about sorting anything out with her, just keep doing the alternative questions. Adam Mugliston Talk 18:26, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello, RexRowan. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Night_in_paintings, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
Hi there - you article does not include any references; the claim that it was a major art movement must be supported by third party sources , as required by WP:N. Maybe ask for support on the visual arts project board.--ItemirusMessage me!10:15, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for replying me. I did put it on the project talk page. Maybe delete it and let someone who knows better to write it. -- RexRowan Talk 10:17, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Now it looks much better - I am not in the position to question whether the subject deserves a separate article on WP - I'll leave it to the experts. --ItemirusMessage me!14:31, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Check my Chinese
Can you ensure that my simplified Chinese on Sun Yafang is correct? I found the traditional Chinese based on a Taiwanese source and got the simplified based on that. If you could improve the article with some Chinese sources, that would be good too. RyanVesey02:55, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
I think you did a good job extracting the important facts, this woman seems to be very famous and there are many rumours about her on the Chinese internet, they may or may not be true, difficult to verify especially the stories from the company staff. They have been ruthlessly added to the Chinese version of less responsible Baidu Wiki. I guess due to sexism or jealousy? Anyway, I added the Chinese official link as the external link so people can log on and have a look for themselves. -- RexRowan Talk 09:34, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much Itemirus. I also wrote another article about a painter called Petrus van Schendel, he is a night painter, not sure exactly which movement he belonged in, maybe Dutch classics, will further investigate. :D -- RexRowan Talk 14:43, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi Rex, i am so grateful for your kindness to bring me into another world of knowledge. I've a quick glance at what you've put in and your works is just remarkable! Amazing indeed! Excellent job...keep it up, my dear friend. Bless Felix le POURE (talk) 17:49, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for starting the Night in paintings article to begin with! Such a great idea!
And, thanks for being flexible about pulling out the oriental works into their own article. I think that's going to be great!
Listen, I have a question to run by you: Generally when images are formatted the intent is to have them inline and not formatted in such a way that there's a lot of white space in the article. Since we've gotten direction from a seasoned member on the Visual Arts team that we shouldn't have more than 1 to 2 images per person: What would you think about me returning the thumb sized images to the right border and I can then format the others to reduce or eliminate white space? Would that be ok for you?
You're enthusiasm is contagious - so thanks so much for the helpful, let's make this the best it can be attitude! Great job!--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:57, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
If you don't mind, I'm going to try that - it should make the article shorter for scrolling and working on it, which would be nice. I'm going to try and make the changes all in one edit so if we have to, it could be reverted.--CaroleHenson (talk) 22:16, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
Can you believe it, another update? After all, Modernist went and reformatted the layout to a real, clean and simple layout. So no more needs to be done there... and it's exactly the way you're setting up the images for the Eastern art article, so we'll be in synch.
Hi Carole, thank you for messaging me. I am so sorry. I forgot to tell you that we live in different time zooms. I live in Wales and fell asleep. I am back on now and will continue to work with the rest of the article! You are such an angel! Team work! -- RexRowan Talk 09:46, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Wow, thank you very much! You made this for me? You are such a generous and thoughtful person! I am lost for words, very moved! :D -- RexRowan Talk 16:22, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi Swifty, thank you very much for the invitation. I would like to help but after reading the comments, I realize I know nothing about it. I think I saw one song from her on a music channel and that's all I know. Forgive me for my ignorance. If there's anything else that I can help, I would be glad to do so. -- RexRowan Talk 09:32, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
A couple of things
Good morning,
I thought I'd check in with you on a couple of things:
I seem to have much better look looking for: nocturne paintings, than: night paintings
To keep track of what I'm doing, I've started a tracking sheet: User:CaroleHenson/Night_in_paintings_(Western_art)_list, if you want we could set up something like that for the Eastern art article. (Yep, I'm a list person - otherwise ideas spin in my head which makes for confused writing for me - better to tuck them away).
With the number of paintings now in the article I think my original estimate of one week to do the article was low - well, I guess more pictures have been added which makes it more well-rounded - but I think it's going to take awhile.
I put a book in the "Further reading" of the Eastern art article - I don't know if it will help or not, but it might be a resource.

A tag has been placed on Federation Day requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. That's better, by far! I have withdrawn the speedy deletion nomination. Please try to start articles with enough material to avoid this sort of thing happening, OK? PKT(alk)12:26, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
No, you haven't. I had a look. Needs a LOT of tidy up, sections and I don't think it's even notable. You would have to prove that a significant amount of schools do it. Adam Mugliston Talk 17:09, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Ru Yi. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Ruyi (scepter). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Ruyi (scepter) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. George Ponderevo (talk) 13:07, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi Adam, so happy you are back! How's your families and the holiday? Did you visit anywhere exciting? Have you got a tan now? Send your grandmama's dumplings to me, hehehe! Yes, I saw this adoptee, maybe give him to Worm or others. I think you should only choose people you are comfortable working with. For what it is, not worth the hassle. -- RexRowan Talk 15:04, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
My family's fine and the holiday was good, although the majority of the hotels weren't good. Yep, got a bit of a tan, will get the dumplings recipe soon too. I have two minds about him: 1. He may be a hassle because of his attitude, so don't really want him, but then 2. I have no other active adoptee, so nothing to do... Adam Mugliston Talk 15:07, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Have a look at the message I left him. I'm fine, how are you? Will be very busy this afternoon, carpet people coming tomorrow, must clear out my bedroom and there is a lot of stuff there... Adam Mugliston Talk 12:55, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
I remember you told me you were decorating the house a little while ago, very nice! I will have to move house till the end of the year as our landlord's dad's coming back. Pray for me that I don't move to hell, my little brain can not handle deadly ASBOs -- RexRowan Talk 14:54, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Say hello to your grandma, you are so lucky! My family had this Spartan attitude, 'he who does not survive feels free to extinct.' -- RexRowan Talk 15:34, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, then yes. The rest of the family (my aunt, my two uncles and their families) don't care about us, so they would certainly not be willing to help us out by agreeing to let us live here longer. Fun... Initially, when we were organising the move here, it was suggested we simply signed up for council housing. This is with my Grandma and her husband (my step-granddad) have a gigantic 4 bedroom house, my aunt has a pretty big 4 bedroom house, although 2 bedrooms are actively used (compared with my Grandma's 1) and the 3rd is used frequently-ish too. Uncle number 1 is in money trouble (although was not at the time) and he didn't have a big house, so alright and my last uncle, well that's a different story... But anyway, we are here now and hopefully my Grandma won't die soon, she is currently 80 and in pretty good shape (although my 76 year old s-grandad had a stroke recently) and we are sort of planning on moving too, but this is a very long-term plan, at least 4 years, when I go to Uni, but maybe even after that. My mum would like to move to Cambridge. Adam Mugliston Talk 21:29, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
I hope she sticks around until you are an adult, then you will have much freedom! My grandmama was an ageless immortal from the dark side. The guards from the new order failed to find her nest and kill all her eggs, which led to the consequent tragedies that she had created upon humanity. Her greed was an endless pit that consumed many of her offspring's lives, further more, she exiled many of her 'incompetent' offspring to uninhabitable planets left for the destiny of their illed fate. I luckily survived due to my successful hitchhiking of Clark Kent's little spaceship. -- RexRowan Talk 11:26, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, we/they are certainly not moving until I go off to Uni and then they want to move in the direction of my Uni and/or near London, where I want to work. Adam Mugliston Talk 17:39, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, so we're still here for another 4 years at least, but then my dad has a job here, so does my mum so they might not move until they retire, but time will tell. Adam Mugliston Talk 18:09, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello,
Can I step in for a second and try and pull some images for you?
Many of the examples are not fine art - or aren't necessary notable to be examples for the particular sections. Since it's a fine art section, it would be nice to have pieces that really stand out and are notable.
In the meantime, do you want to search for more museum-quality embroidery pieces and post them on the talk page? Your second example is excellent. Can you find some other great examples like that?--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:46, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Do you mind posting images on the talk page until I finish? I put the article in "in use" mode - which means just one person is trying to edit, please give the person a bit of time. Maybe 15 minutes more? You're on the right track with the embroidery - did you see my follow-up questions so that we can complete the caption info?
If we can't provide enough info about what it is, when it's made, what museum it's in now - do you mind finding other examples?--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:09, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I finished. You might not like all my examples - so feel free to swap things out. A couple of things to bear in mind:
Just have a select few examples in each section - focusing on what you think are the best
Go for the "wow" factor - would you want to step closer to see the item if you were in the museum
Some of the captions need a bit of formatted and editing to get the most essential info - basically with this formula: brief info or title about the work + date or dynasty + where it's located.
For example: Large gilded copper plate with cloisonné, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt
