Re: Arbortext editsThanks for the feedback. We didn't create pages for our products for promotional reasons (if we had, we'd say things like "Our product is the best!"). Rather, it's for informational purposes. That particular product isn't a household name, like, say , Coca Cola. People may hear the name of that product and want to learn more, and a natural source of information for many is Google and Wikipedia. I don't know who created the other entries you cite. I agree that they should be looked at to ensure that they don't sound like promotional materials. But is it entirely against Wikipedia policy to have an entry that reflects a commercial product, for description purposes? If that's the case, there are a hefty number of pages on Wikipedia that would meet this criteria for deletion! If you (or someone) has the authority to un-delete the page, that would be appreciated. As I mentioned, we'll look into it quickly to make it factual, and even call on our user community to come in and verify/help source the information. Again, we're not using it as a free digital billboard - we're simply noting that people come to Wikipedia for information, and if they search on our product, we'd like to be able to educate them. Chowdhury Mahmood HasanI found that you deleted the article Chowdhury Mahmood Hasan. He is one of the pioneering pharmaceutical scientists in Bangladesh and was the head of the department at University of Dhaka for 25 years. I want to recreate the article. --Rossi101 (talk) 10:18, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Rossi101

Lia Marie JohnsonHey Phantomsteve! Alright so I saw Lia Marie Johnson's wikipedia got deleted couple times in the past, and the last time it was deleted it was on August 1st. I'm contacting you because you were the last person deleting it. :) I would love to create a page for her but I don't want the page to be deleted again! I have her approval to create it, and we can say she's a rising star so her page will be visited regularly (I guess). So I wanted to know if it would be ok, and if so should I show you the article before I publish it? Thanks! I have rewritten and sourced the article you deleted aas a copyright infringement. Lots of reliable sources indicate he played a major and nationally known role in cleaning up a very corrupt little city in the 1950's. Should I restore the deleted article and replace the text, or post it as a new article about the same person? Edison (talk) 23:58, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Are you kidding me??http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Julie_O%27Halloran Closed as Keep? One IP editor that is a spammer COI account and one person misquoting notability guidelines versus the original nomination to delete does not make a Keep decision. At worst it's a no consensus decision. Otherwise you relist. Some admins even go so far as to ignore the person misquoting policy and the spammer and delete it. AFD has turned into a joke. With so few people participating all it takes is the person who created the original article and one of the anti-deletionists to wander by and every piece of junk sticks around forever. Although I was not the author of the article, I would like a chance to reedit it, and/or to rewrite it ,also to include better references. For someone like me, who has in the past worked in nightlife and has an interest in it, I find there are a very small number of wikipedia articles about Night Life in any city, the exception being London. This subject, Noel Ashman is known as a New York nightclub expert who is contacted by the media, both press and tv, for comments on all aspects of Nightlife. In the years between 1995 and 2009 he was a frequent subject of articles in the press. Although these events may seem trivial to some, they make up a significant part of the "goings-on " in New York, help attract tourists , feed the local economy, and prove to a a fascination for many readers in the many magazines and newspapers that report on them daily. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Todayilearned (talk • contribs) 20:58, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
