This is to clarify that I am not a sockpuppet of Shahid265, and have no connections with him whatsoever. I also extend my sincere apologies for violating any other policy. I think you mean blocked, not unblocked. It is very difficult to believe that you randomly arrived at the article about Ahmer Bilal Soofi. It may very well be that this is your only account, but when you do something that others have been blocked for, you will be blocked as well, whether you are associated with them or not. Than you for the your response. I an official at the IT Branch of the Law & Justice Dept of Pakistan. I learned the news of Mr. Soofi's Wikipedia article being edited with wrong and controversial information. I made the account to address it with my best and honest intention. I have no association with any other person named as Shahid265. You may keep him/her blocked.

The page of Mr. Soofi as a former Minister, international lawyer, and President of the Research Society of International Law, requires amendments. I request you to edit it in good faith, if you don't allow me or anyone else to do it.

Second, it's been confirmed that this account has been using sockpuppets. I'm not in the slightest bit inclined to unblock an account that has been using sockpuppets, nor will I edit on behalf of them. 331dot is correct. Maybe you have no connection to Shahid265, but the reality is that there's been a sudden surge of similarly behaving accounts with a singular focus on Ahmer Bilal Soofi. Further, one of your sockpuppets posted to Talk:Ahmer Bilal Soofi, and when I block that sockpuppet a supposedly random IP from the same part of the world shows up half an hour later and issues this personal attack? We have an important principal here on this project called Wikipedia:Assume good faith. It is also true that our social policies are not a suicide pact. While personal attacks have absolutely no effect on me (why would an invective from a person I've never met and never will bother me?), they are highly reflective of the person making them. Such behavior is completely incompatible with working on this project. In fact, doing so is directly against one of the five pillars of this project. See also WP:CIVIL.

There have been a ton of efforts over the last month to turn Ahmer Bilal Soofi into a glowing article about how wonderful this man is. We've got IPs claiming they are from the same office as the person who made the legal threat (see User talk:223.123.95.170). Frankly, I don't care about the smoke and mirrors attempt. I do care about the constant disruption of the article ending. No amount of sockpuppeting is going to suddenly change course on this and turn this article into the glowing monument to this person that is being attempted. No amount of pleading is going to change the reality that a legal threat was made that has not been retracted.

Independent of your attempts, both here and on your sockpuppets, I have removed mention of the Broadsheet issue pending reliable, secondary sources that clarify Soofi's role. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:18, 21 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:Hammersoft, I have clarified to you multiple times that I have no association with Shahid265 ID. Also, I have issued multiple apologies to you, if I have caused any nuisance to you. As far as the IP is concerned, please check and verify on your end that if my IP address really matches to the one who issued the threat. I have repeatedly denied and condemned the unfavorable behavior and vile remarks passed on by anyone against yourself or your fellow editors. I once again apologize to you on their behalf. You may keep my account blocked until you get your suspicions cleared. I suggest that there must be credible proofs to substantiate your claims.

I shall not be editing the page of Ahmer Bilal Soofi, and I exempt myself from any future edits done in bad faith on that page.

You can go through my past messages and I have always used respectful and professional tone while engaging with you and your peers. Also you may permanently block Shahid265 and all other disrespectful IDs, I have no connection or sympathy towards them.
