Glenn Francis (talk) 20:49, 14 January 2010 (UTC) Neal PollackHi Nymf, I'm reviewing your various edits to my contributions right now. One that I think I can improve upon and make alright with you is Neal Pollack's profile. You deleted the category of American Atheists because it was unsourced. I went back to the page, added a Personal Life section where I stated he was an atheist and cited it from a direct link to The Onion, and then added the category of American atheists. Please let me know if you have any additional thoughts. I'm new on Wikipedia so I'm trying to do things correctly and appreciate when people politely steer me in the right direction if I'm making mistakes. Thanks so much! Bands nationality flagsHi. Maybe you can't imagine, but for us non-English native speakers (I'm from there) it's almost impossible to understand if an English-speaker is from Great Britain, or from United States, or from Australia, or whatever. We just cannot know it immediately. Seein' the nationality flag into the box would get it easier. Could you insert'em again? Thanx --Larry.europe (talk) 12:17, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi there again! Thanks for the info on status quo. In the future, it might be more helpful in you left a message line for the editor being reverted. That way they don't get the impression that their impute is being treated as vandalism or the like, especially with an in-experienced editor, like Colchester121891, who might be discouraged from future edits. Thanks again, and happy editing! --Leodmacleod (talk) 22:49, 25 January 2010 (UTC) Removing external linksGood day, I understand that Wikipedia is not to be used as a form of advertisement or promotions, and I could see how someone could easily confuse my posting of the external links to this site, but Global Hit Music is a credible website. It showcases artists from around the world, and in no way shape or form am I trying to promote the site. The site is only about 4 months old and we are already receiving over 30k hits a day with more than half being global, so as you can see the site does well on its own. I was just simply getting a way for the artists' fans to check them out on my site. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to see your favorite artist on a brand new site? I will be looking for your response. Thank you, Miguel —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cesperfromdade (talk • contribs) 21:33, 27 January 2010 (UTC) FYI, I unprotected the redirect. SoundgardenHi, Just wondering why you reverted my Soundgarden edit? I'm new to Wiki editing, but I know my stuff about Soundgarden, so perhaps you can help me with referencing (I'll look this up too). I found the following citations: http://web.stargate.net/soundgarden/articles/kerr_4-8-89.shtml Italic textThe name Soundgarden ("Not intentionally meant to throw people off," laughs Kim) is supposed to represent the many roots of the group's style, a virtual plethora of cutting edge rock that spans Sabbath, Velvet Underground, Meat Puppets and Killing Joke http://web.stargate.net/soundgarden/articles/sounds_5-13-89.shtml Kim: "When we started the band we were all listening to hardcore and new wave: The Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Husker Du, Joy Division, Wire, Killing Joke, Bauhaus (New Wave being another term for Post Punk) http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1538792/story.jhtml Killing Joke -- "Requiem" from Killing Joke (1980) This song changed my understanding of what rock and punk music was. When you're a kid in Seattle, you're pretty much going to be a metal kid - that's just the way it is. Then when I discovered punk I was into Seattle bands like the Fartz, who had 16-second songs that were aggressive and insane. It was unapologetic hardcore speed-punk. But when I heard Killing Joke, there were metal elements in there, but it had nothing to do with metal, really. Killing Joke was kind of a template that we used when we formed Soundgarden. Music could be hard, but have nothing to do with commercial metal. Can find any amount of other citations... PS: The Gang of Four / Soundgarden link is a very tenuous IMO. Serena van der WoodsenHi. I restored the notability tag to that page (which I didn't originally include, BTW). From what I've seen, it's never been established that this character is deserving of an article independent of the books or TV series. By comparison, see the article for Blair Waldorf. With regard to your comment that she's notable because it's an award-winning TV show, should every character from an award-winning show be given an article? I just thought that the foundation for creating/maintaining articles was notability from sources. 4.249.84.13 (talk) 08:14, 2 May 2010 (UTC) DatesIn reference to your edit summary here, please note that WP:RY does not apply to the days of the year articles. PolicyOkay, let's talk. :) Pretty much all of the material being challenged is in violation of WP:N and WP:INDISCRIMINATE, as it fails to establish notability and does not discuss the reception and significance of those characters. This has been the case for years. If you're going to restore this material, the burden will lie with you to establish its notability. I've opened discussion on those pages and cited policy. These character articles are better suited to sites like Wikia, being largely original research and non-notable. Thanks. -- James26 (talk) 05:32, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

I think s/he was reconstructing the table one row at a time. I, too, noticed the problem and was about to revert it at an earlier point, but then I realized what the editor was doing. The editor has been advised in the past not to do it this way but to use the sandbox. Alternatively, the editor could add the new information one row at a time, keeping the rest of the table intact. I put all this on the editor's talk page, but I'm not sure if the s/he reads it. Anyway, the editor's progress was painfully slow, and your reversion was probably a good idea because of the ongoing incomplete state of the table.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:58, 8 August 2010 (UTC) ClemenceClemence is a new love interest for Chuck to answer your "who?" question on the Gossip Girl page. There has been a genre changer at the page, which you reverted once. The person in the edit summary stated that his assertion of the band being avant-garde metal has been properly sourced, albeit without the person supplying a source. His/her assertion of the band being experimental metal remains unsourced, but I have something else to talk about here. I have noticed that the article has contradicting text within itself. In the infobox's genre field, the invisible text blatantly states that Agalloch is not an avant-garde metal band, while in the "style" section, Agalloch is stated to perform "a progressive and avant-garde style of folk metal..."; both "progressive" and "avant-garde" have sources backing up the respective genre assignments. Table font sizesHi, I noticed that you recently reverted a table font size format (here) and wondered if there was a consensus you were referring to. If the format was on a rationale of better table layout then it is specifically mentioned as a reasonable change at Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(text_formatting)#Font_size. I'm not particularly worried about the edit in question but I sometimes set special style parameter myself when laying out a table to be consistent in an article. Nymf hideliho! 22:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC) 68.70.27.96Hi. I noticed that you reverted this IP user a few times citing them as a banner user. Seeing as they're up to their old tricks again today (I too had to revert the majority of their edits for being their poorly sourced or completely unsourced), would you happen to know who they are so I can report them to AN/I in the future? Thanks! Pinkadelica♣ 02:19, 24 October 2010 (UTC) You recently removed a picture I added to the article, Julian Assange, with the edit summary "no need to stuff the article with images, especially when it is dated wrong". Can you explain why you think three pictures is too many for this article? My caption was incorrect, with the picture being taken four days before the start of 2010. --Banana (talk) 22:43, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Steve ClarkSteve Clark (Def Leppard) played Gibson guitars exclusively during his career, the main one being a classic Gibson Les Paul Standard. He also used a Gibson Firebird and the twin neck Gibson EDS 1275, referred to onstage by Joe as the Gibson 18-string Razor. [1]. He used on High 'n' Dry world tour a Gibson Explorer made out of Honduran mahogany.[2] His primary axes on the Pyromania world tour were a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Gibson Les Paul XR-1. During Hysteria world tour he used Gibson “Dirty Fingers” mounts on his Gibson models such as W-neck Gibson EDS 1275 and Gibson Firebird.[3] [4]. --Therein8383 (talk) 19:33, 6 November 2010 (UTC) Sources used: 1) http://rockureview.com/?p=1220 2) http://www.steveclarkguitar.com/StevesHysteriaTourGuitars.html 3) http://www.guitaredge.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=614:def-leppard-bringin-on-the-heartbreak&catid=54:this-months-songs-with-tab&Itemid=89 4) http://www.deflepparduk.com/steveclark.html (Not the band web page) Is that good enough for you? --Therein8383 (talk) 22:19, 6 November 2010 (UTC) SockpuppetI've just received a message that apparently (I'm not sure, because it's very confusing) links me, I believe, with accusations for sockpuppetry, mainly addressed towards a user named Vanessa998 or something like that. The accusations are pending since January 2009, according to what I read at least, but I just received the message. The accusation refers to a certain IP address. It's ludicrous and I'd wish an explanation, please. Accusing without substantial evidence is infuriating. Thanks Xanthi22 (talk) 15:37, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Template:Worldcat useHello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Template:Worldcat use. Thank you. Tabercil (talk) 00:10, 10 November 2010 (UTC) You are now a Reviewer![]() Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:28, 15 November 2010 (UTC) AssangeYour edit summary here can be read as I having left a death threat, which is obviously untrue, and can be perceived as an WP:UNCIVIL attack on me as a result. Further, the sentences are sourced well enough. Goldberg's article was obviously controversial because of that subtitle, and has received WP:SECONDARY coverage. Even more reason to mention it. Julian Assange pageI am not sure why you reverted my most recent edit. As there is a global warrant out for his arrest, and he is currently at-large, whereabouts unknown, he is by definition an international fugitive... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uwman84 (talk • contribs) 00:39, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Prayer bumpHi, regarding the lowly prayer bump. It is not a major issue to me, but someone took the trouble to author this piece, and you took the trouble to tag it, so it bears discussion. There seems to be something about the wording of this article to which you take exception. That's OK. But the nature of your tag puzzles me. If every article on Wikipedia that used the words "some" and "other" were tagged, I am certain the servers would melt down somewhere. And those particular words are more vague than weasily. So I am puzzled by your tags, and I can't help but think you have something you wish to express, some aspect of the article about which you have a strong feeling but are reluctant, or perhaps too busy, to put into words. If that is the case, and I suspect I am right here, then I challenge you to correct the error, omission or oversight you see in the lowly prayer bump article, or revert your tags and leave it in peace. In a situation such as this, such tags left on an isolated unprotected article such as this one might be construed as a form of defacement. I am certain that is not your intentions. Penélope Cruz pictureHello. Well I like seeing pictures like anyone else. If people are not going to use it then why is it even listed under her wikimedia commons a not copyright violation? If it bothers you so much then you can report it for deletion keep in mind others in the future will probably add it in the article if it's not deleted, so I'll leave that to you.--Anen87 (talk) 21:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC) Some things I would like to discuss1. First of all, I think Larry_King should go under the category:[Category:American_people_of_Belarusian-Jewish_descent] because it says in the article that his parents emigrated from Belarus and they were Jewish. Also I think Peter_Douglas and Eric_Douglas should go under that category as since their father Kirk_Douglas is listed under that category as well. 2. I think it should be noted in the Alexandra_Powers article that her mother is Katharyn_Powers and was a writer for variety of TV series. Also I think in the Katharyn_Powers article these links should be added: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0584251/ http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Katharyn_Powers http://www.moviefone.com/celebrity/katharyn-powers/2035049/main http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Katharyn_Powers In the Alexandra Powers article I created I found a website that says she is in Scientology. Here's the website: http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/stats/by-name/a/alexandra-powers.html Should this be used as a reference in the article? Please let me know.
