Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. Request reason:

I believe this block was made in error. I am not engaging in sockpuppetry. The user I was suspected of being is a separate individual and a friend, and we do not share an IP address or location. We happened to both edit a Wikipedia article related to a person with a similar name to someone who had just passed away. The edits were made in good faith based on confusion, not with malicious intent. Our accounts and browsing histories are separate and should show no policy violations. He doesnt know how to source edit and I told him I can create him one, I didn't know it was illegal, If I am a sock pocket sir I would never do that, because that could jeorpadise my position and if I have any control over his account. wouldn't I be doing it from that account, but I have no authority than guidance on checking out articles and stuff rather than sock pocketing ? Also when I joined maldivian project as you can see on my history another wikipedia friend edited and created my user page and talk page which made me believe it must be an culture or something and later own I started learning how to source edit and started editing my own user page and talk page, I received help from my community so I was trying to give back,

Please have a read of this section of our sockpuppetry policy, and also have a look at WP:TAGTEAM. It's great to help your friends get started on Wikipedia (really, the more the merrier!), but you then immediately tried to get them to join an open deletion discussion on an article you created. That's pretty straightforward canvassing, which is enough to get you blocked, but also, as you've now seen, puts your friends at risk of being called out as your sockpuppets.
