That's fine. Actually, fixing your archive was useful feedback. It looks like you followed the instructions at Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page, which I re-wrote last week to try to make them easier to understand. However, I was only thinking of article discussion pages at the time, and I realize now they don't quite make sense when applied to user talk pages, so I've changed part of the instructions to be clearer – Gurch 14:04, 1 January 2007 (UTC) The Military history WikiProject Newsletter: Issue XI – January 2007The January 2007 issue of the Military history WikiProject newsletter has been published. Horses do not have to do anything to qualify for the Belmont other than have their owners pay an entry fee. It happened that three nondescript horses were running for purse money-- the only two contenders were Secretariat and Sham. And the article makes a lot of the 31 length win. Yes, the time is fast, but the weakness of the field is a big issue. In terms of major races won by more than 31 lengths, Chris Evert beat Miss Musket by 50 lengths, and Man O' War won the 1920 Lawrence Realization by 100 lengths. In the Belmont, nobody else won by 31, but Count Fleet won in 1943 by 25, and several horses, such as Bet Twice in 1987, have won it by 14 or more. It's really not that difficult at 1 1/2 miles on the dirt, because that distance can tend to produce runaway winners. —The preceding unsigned comments were added by User talk:66.92.37.74 66.92.37.74 talk at various times

An anonymous editor has deleted a lot of material I added. The material was sourced to a published book but the editor ignored repeated requests to discuss the deletions. I tried to make the edits seem more "acceptable" to this editor but all requests for comment were ignored. Rather get into a protracted edit war wit reversions, etc. I chose to quit editing the article although a fair amount of sourced detail I added is now deleted. Is there any way (short of reverting) to ask someone for advice on improvements from where the article stood two weeks ago? A long time ago I submitted the article for a review and have been working hard to improve the article quality. Now it seems that a lot of work is down the drain. Sorry to be whining a lot but if there is something I have missed in the procedures I would like to know it. If I have the wrong concept on how Wikipdeia works (I learn more every edit and have been at it for a couple years) then I'll quietly leave the editing to the people who can do drive by deletions. Any help on how to get back on track is appreciated. Mfields1 00:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Celts-ad.png![]() Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Celts-ad.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?
