Please read WP:NACD which says "Participants, including participating administrators, should not reopen non-admin closures." I suggest you undo the revert, and restore my closure. (Please answer here, if necessary, I'll watchlist it.) Kraxler (talk) 14:25, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Your revert is out of process. First: Anybody else but you, preferably an admin, could undo the closure for a good reason. Second: AfD is not a headcount, the arguments should be weighed. Independent of who !voted, the arguments here show a clear case for notability under several different criteria, especially the mainstream newspaper coverage, including a visit of the Walloon Prime Minister to the company's headquarters. Third: The closure should be retained until after the SPI is finished. If, and only if, the SPI shows that all !votes were cast by socks, then you (as a participant who can not, under any circumstances, undo the closure) should ask me to undo my closure, stating a reason. If I decline to undo it, then you can go to WP:AN and request the review of the non-admin closure. That's how it works. Kraxler (talk) 14:46, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Seeing other people making mistakes is no reason to follow suit, especially for somebody who wanted to be an admin. Kraxler (talk) 15:23, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
The point has become moot in the meanwhile. AfD was closed as delete by an admin. Nevertheless, I suggest you follow procedure next time. Kraxler (talk) 15:26, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Will do in future - I was self-reverting, and appeared to hit an e/c in any case, after changing tab.... anyway, thanks for the advice! Mdann52 (talk) 15:28, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Dear Matt,
My Wiki page was challenged a few weeks ago, for 'sockpuppetry' amongst other things. I now see that you have dismissed my sources as 'boilerplate'.I don't know what to do at this point. I am who that page claims I am and I have published the books that are cited and these books have been reviewed , though I can't link to reviews in sources that don't have online access. I have given the books' ISBN numbers and links to my publisher's website, with reviews of my book citing the dates and sources (Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review, etc.). There are also links to my published work in established online magazines/journals. I am puzzled by assertions that none of these sources verify the information'.
Moreover, another person on the information team at Wikipedia, Eric Skoglund, confirmed that he received an email from the editor of Salt publishing Chris Emery (both of whom have Wiki pages) confirming that he did in fact set up the entry on me (Mark Granier) himself, in 2010, although the Wiki editor O'Dea, who initially accused me of 'sockpuppetry', had inferred that I might have been the creator of my own page. Mr Skoglund assured me that it was alright for me to update the page once it had been set up.
I am not sure what more I can do to verify either (a) my 'notability' or (b) the info about me online.
That's two tough closes that I disagree with you about, for which I must thank you for your efforts to measure consensus. I'd like to gather a consensus about moratorium, since a move discussion during a primary season is going to make us all look ridiculous. BusterD (talk) 13:27, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
I've turned down your CSD request because, while it's quite possible this is a copyvio of *something*, it certainly isn't the blogspot that was linked in the CSD request. That blogspot was a horrible translation of something or other; if you can figure out the original source, that might well be the place where the copyvio came from. It's possible you simply picked the wrong link to the original material? If so, let me know, I'll be happy to review. Risker (talk) 00:54, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
@Risker: aparently, the website has been copied from Pierre Viret's Simple Exposition of the Principal Points of the Christian Faith (ISBN978-0-9843785-9-3), so that appears to be the source of this and the external page. I'd also note that we supposably have permission for this, but that OTRS ticket doesn't add up. Mdann52 (talk) 05:54, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

For your participation in the 2015 Hillary Clinton move request. Took a little while for a decision, but I appreciate that you provided a clear and concise interpretation of the consensus. Couldn't have been a decision that was overly easy to make. Kudos. NickCT (talk) 23:01, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

@Mdann52: Hi there! I noticed you hatted a section in User Talk:jimbo_wales . I checked your permissions and you do not appear to be an administrator.
I do not disagree with the hat per se, but one section was a direct response to an off-wiki request from Jimmy Wales made to myself and another. Our response was only posted today and he will not have seen it given his timezone. Can you please remove the section 'Response to Request by Jimmy Wales' and leave it there for (say) 24 hours? 213.205.234.122 (talk) 17:35, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
If Jimbo wants to respond, he is welcome to do so, and I defer to him on this. Otherwise, that thread is long past usefulness, so I've hatted it before something is said that someone may regret. Mdann52 (talk) 17:37, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
@Mdann52: Sorry that edit above was me by the way. Had not noticed I was not logged in - at a hotel. I agree with you on hatting it, but as a courtesy, can you please un-hat that single subsection? There is no reason I could not move it out of the hat myself but would prefer we can meet halfway. Vordrak (talk) 17:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
thanks for your fastest answer. I consider it's not too general... or random product... It's a new kind of product using this standard and I think will be really interesting for those who think in ISOFIX (parents, grandparents...). Hope you reconsider your decision. I appreciate there's a mess of overlapping vandal edits going on here, but my edit that you just reverted wasn't one - the source cited does indeed say "The original musicians Tony McCormack and Candia" with a "McC" for Tony and no surname for Candia. --McGeddon (talk) 16:52, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
@McGeddon: apologies - I tried restoring it, but I got the "loss of session data" in the tab I was saving in - unfortunately, I had to switch over tabs to deal with something else a tad more urgent. Apologies, I'll self revert on that bit now. Mdann52 (talk) 16:54, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello Mdann52, thanks for closing the VE rollout debate. But you probably meant to say something like "some issues" in "while many of the votes indicate that there are still votes". In context "votes" makes no sense here :). GermanJoe (talk) 13:33, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi! I was searching for technical documentation of "parser tag" on mediawiki.org and found your {{mw:Parse source tag}} template, comment "blank page to make it work". Special:WhatLinksHere says nothing links to it. Is it needed because commons pages use this template? But then why doesn't enwiki need a copy of the template? Maybe you could give it a basic usage section

I saw your name on the list, and I'd like to train more in counter vandalism operations! It says you are available, but if not, its ok I dont mind. From what I've read it seems you have great experience here. I have realized there are better tools for reverting vandalism but they require a certain right or experience threshold. If you can help me get there, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks (: --CyberWarfare (talk) 16:58, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Take your time, I'm delighted that you are available and willing to enroll me in the academy. I was worried that I was becoming a bother to you and other editors! --CyberWarfare (talk) 23:59, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
@Magnolia677: None of the addition is actually sourced - the diff is a tad mangled, but the sides actually come directly from the last revision, and support none of the addition. Additionally, the language of the text added sounds a bit flowery to me, and sets off my copyvio senses. I was planning on rewriting this, however I didn't have enough time last night.
