Sorry if you took offense; none intended. I agree i could have moved it but i wanted to see where you wanted to add it. I was actually thinking of adding it in a more discreet manner, rather than on its own. What do you think of adding it under the section 2008-2010: Toulon as follows:

Hey mate, if a player plays a test for Italy, does that make them notable enough to create? I was thinking of making a page for Knights player, Josh Mantellato who is in the 2012 NSW Cup team of the year, has played 4 tests for Italy (source) & will represent them in the World Cup. Hey. The guidelines are here: WP:RLN. It says to be notable he has to have played in an international between two full or associate members of the RLIF or RLEF - which includes Italy as an affiliate of the RELF. However I'd just make sure you use as many references as you can to try and make sure it reached WP:GNG as well. Mattlore (talk) 20:11, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi Matt, just wondering if you can point me in the right direction on what to do. The GCRL page is now a bit of a disaster zone as we've had a keen newbie move it, chop it up and put up redirections. Is there a way to neatly fix things without losing the history of the original page? All of the GCRL info was previously at Gold Coast Rugby League but from what I can tell the GCRL page has been moved to Gold Coast Rugby League (Federation) and some info has been moved to Gold Coast Rugby League (Competition) while a new stub has been created on the Gold Coast Rugby League page. Ah, he did the same thing by moving the New Zealand competition article to New Zealand Rugby League Competition without sources. I have started a request to move it back to its original place of National Competition but its still pending, see Talk:NZRL National Competition.

I'll put in a move request to return it to Gold Coast Rugby League as that is the best way to save the history. In the meantime you can merge the two topics back if they are actually the same? Mattlore (talk) 06:31, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Could you please take a look at Angelo Arrigoni, Vincenzo Bertolotto, and Giovanni Bonino and assess whether you think they are suitable for inclusion in the List of dual-code rugby internationals? My concern is whether the players on the Italian 1950 rugby league tour of England, France, and Wales, can be considered as rugby league internationals, as they appear to have played against only club sides (albeit first grade club sides), and a regional South Wales XIII. Also, I don't believe there was a Federazione Italiana Rugby League (or similar) back in 1950, so can the tour be considered "official"? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 14:23, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply! I think they've got a case. The intro to the List of dual-code rugby internationals talks about "senior international level" which an international side vs a first grade club could well be. I was thinking that a DYK for Teddy Bartram might be appropriate as according to the Rugby Football Union; "In 1879 came the first definite example of a rugby player being paid, with Teddy Bartram receiving money from Yorkshire club Wakefield Trinity.", making him the first professional rugby player. Hi Mattlore. I was just confused why you removed the category i added. I mean i know that SBW already has the dual international category, but i don't understand why that then removes him of having the other category added? Hey, my logic was that because the dual international category is included in the cross code category then it is a duplicate. The same reason he is not in Category:Rugby league players because he is in Category:New Zealand rugby league players. Mattlore (talk) 20:46, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi Mattlore. What's your thoughts on removing the photo on Sonny Bill Williams's page of him in Bulldogs colours? I was just wandering because i find the image being of too poor quality really and would rather see it removed. Besides, there is already a good quality image of him in the article. this is what i read, American football/Canadian football figures are presumed notable if they:

1. Have appeared in at least one regular season or post season game in any one of the following professional leagues: the Arena Football League, the Canadian Football League, the National Football League, the third American Football League, the All-America Football Conference or the United States Football League, or any other top-level professional league.
2. Note: Players who play in minor or semi-professional leagues (such as af2) are not presumed notable unless they meet another criterion, such as notability arising from their college football days.

So like for example, the Canadian Colonial Cup squad from this year, none of them would be notable enough until they play a full test next year? Youndbuckerz (talk) 02:16, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that's how I would interpret the rugby league guidelines, because during this years Colonial Cup Canada wasn't a member but the 2014 Colonial Cup will be a match that meets the guidelines. It doesn't look like College football is enough to make Misipeka notable. Mattlore (talk) 02:24, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Also, have a look at WP:NCOLLATH:

• College athletes and coaches are notable if they have been the subject of non-trivial media coverage beyond merely a repeating of their statistics, mentions in game summaries, or other WP:ROUTINE coverage. Examples would include head coaches, well-known assistant coaches, or players who:
  1. Have won a national award (such as those listed in Template:College Football Awards or the equivalent in another sport), or established a major Division I (NCAA) record.
  2. Were inducted into the hall of fame in their sport (for example, the College Football Hall of Fame).
  3. Gained national media attention as an individual, not just as a player for a notable team.

Do you think we could make them under notable players for rugby league since they are semi professional competitions that is the same level as the Co-operative Championship?Youndbuckerz (talk) 09:26, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

No because they are not professionals. If they are any good they will play in the NRL shortly anyway so they will then be notable. The Co-operative is a bit different because of its history and there is promotion and relegation. But even someone who plays his whole career in the Co-operative would have a sketchy level of notability. Mattlore (talk) 20:18, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

I just created pages on South African and Jamaican internationals, they do come under notbale players as they play for full members of the RLIF/EF and have been for a while.. I can't see why they are listed for deletion as further info could come into their page later.. Can you give me a reason and also the answer on QLD/NSW Cup players?? so any player who has played for full members of the RLIF/EF are notable to have a page created for them??Youndbuckerz (talk) 10:03, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi, just want to know on players who are notable to represent their country, perhaps we could change the rule so tha a player who has represented any nation that is currently ranked by the RLIF https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RLIF_World_Rankings automatically deserve a page?Youndbuckerz (talk) 05:57, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
