Not all of the images on Flickr are under CC licences, but for the ones that are, there's the CC options for uploading files. The CC-SA-A and CC-A licences seem to still be legitimate to the members of the WP copyreich. Hi MatthewUND, Thanks for the response. I'll leave it the way it is right now. I don't think there is really one way for articles to develop. Yes, it does look better this way, but the structure of what is missing is not there as well. Someone editing may not know what a solid bio page looks like and I feel the structure, even if barebones, shows the areas for improvement. Personal preference. Cheers. Good point, the blog thing I had noticed but it was the only alleged mug shot of her on the net, and I did not think about the possibility of grafting head before. now I am going to reconsider the image and ask other project participant about this, see if they get any verification info. BTW, I also edited the Mary site removing the similar "overshadowing" passage. You might also consider dropping "largest" from your description about Mary. BSC is the fourth largest college in the state with nearly 3500 students.

Well none of the site's average users can hide anything, since it's all readily available in history. I have ample evidence to demonstrate that you regularly intimidate anyone who attempts to edit "your" sites. You do so by mispresenting Wikipedia policy in an attempt to control your submissions.

As a result I have registered a general and legal complaint with Wikipedia, and have asked other editors to contribute their complaints as well. You are attempting to subvert the Wikipedia's very "reason for being."

Sorry dude, I just logged in. I should have been checking in more frequently. I have little faith in the majority of admins. To many on power trips, or think to highly of themselves. Thats partily why I left. I was sick of arguing edits with douchebags. Granted, I still believe wikipedia is a essential service to all, but something needs to be done about the administration. If those who voted against you are too fucking anal to stick it to someone, fuck them and their fucking horse they rode in on. The manditory rules for adminship are to grey. Sometimes a few who do not meet the criteria get lucky, and the majority of the time of those who show exceptional work get hosed because they didnt comment enough, or whatever reason the first person to vote negatively comes up with.

Currently, and in the past year, quality admins have be dissuaded based upon those already in power thinking they know best. Unless attitudes change from arguing over things, to helping out their fellows,(ie. community portal) wikipedia will slowly become biased to whatever language those with the most stroke wish to present.

Fuck admins. I have no desire to argue with them over petty, insignificant matters. I wouldnt be surprised if I get some douche messaging me arguing counterpoints to my opinion. I wont give a shit, because I wont login for another 6 months.

It is a waste of time on their part really. If they had any sense, they would know that any vandalism they do will likely be corrected in a matter of minutes or hours. It's not like their vandalism is lasting so why do it in the first place? I am in a Management Information Systems class and we have been assigned a project to add more information to the Minot State University page in Wikipedia. My group and other groups have edited to different hubs and we have noticed that the work we did was erased. We were just wondering why this was and what was the reason for deleting it. I noticed your message on my talk page, suggesting that my editing out of prior comments was somehow inappropriate. I removed obsolete comments left inappropriately and precipitously by a since-discredited overzealous Wikipedia editor who simply refused to allow an article with a particular title to remain in Wikipedia for more than a couple of minutes. The issue was resolved months ago, the article remains, it survived a somewhat heated challenge for "lack ofsignificance", and I was reminded by your messages to me that my talk page was essentially polluted and misleading by the much earlier claim that it was vandalism. As anyone who wants to can, you obviously reviewed the history of the talk page, and took it upon yourself to chastize me for removing something that remains completely accessible to anyone who wants to look for it. I'm not sure what drives you, man, but a large percentage of your comments are nothing more than officious intermedling, which is why a lot of people have realized Wikipedia is a complete waste of time. Dear Matthew:

I had done a bit of editing of the Valley City State University website a while back (fall 06, I think). Yesterday it was brought to my attention that the article has had the bulk of its content edited out. Perusing the pages for the NDUS system schools, it appears that UND has the most robustly devloped page, next NDSU, then coverage really tumbles downhill from there--even for the system's "third-largest public university" (viz., Minot State). Dickinson state, that has really taken the lead on international programs(e.g. in Russia, a campus being created in China) receives no mention of such unique features, etc.

I note that this page is part of a Project (or a couple of Projects) in Wikipedia--what's the game plan here? I'd like to contribute--especially where I can meaningfully do so within the bounds of truth for Valley City State--but worry about the thing being minimized again. For the To-Do list for the WikiProjecdt North Dakota, Valley City is indicated for "clean up," which is striking given its already tiny content.

I mean, it's bizarre to have a project member nomming relevant articles that aren't BV. Sure, Monica Hannan is not as notable as Katie Couric, but she's still one of the major broadcasters in North Dakota. Thanks for trying to help me out. I am having a hard time, and am not finding Wiki very "user friendly." I will try again as you suggested. MatthewUND, You do a really nice job with the UND info on wiki. I did check on Mark Andrews with both the UND Alumni office and the UND registrar; he is not a UND grad. I believe, however, that he did graduate from NDSU.

I wonder if you own the photos currently on the UND wiki. We'd like to upload some new ones, and they're always removed. Can you let me know?

News -Assessments- An intial round of assessments was recently done on all pages within the scope of WPND. These initial assessments...all 1,200+ of them...were done by MatthewUND. Matthew tried to generally follow the assessment guidelines found at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment. To see the assessment of any North Dakota page, simply go to the page's talk page and check the WPND banner. The assessment is presented in a color-coded field in the WPND banner. To change an assessment, edit the page and change the word after "class=" in the WPND banner. Add one of the following codes: Stub - for very small articles Start - for slightly longer, higher quality articles B - for high quality articles of an appropriate length List - for lists Cat - for categories Template - for templates NA - for pages that are not articles, templates, or categories Any WPND member should feel free to change any page's assessment. The image to the left seems to not be from the 1997 flood as the blue moose is not in East Grand Forks, and there are still rails on the Pillsbury Bridge (I'm sure there are other items). I left a message on the talk page for Red River Flood of 1997 and on the talk page for the image itself a while ago and got no reply. I lived in Grand Forks before and during 1997, and I believe this is an accurate photograph. I evacuated so I didn't know what downtown looked like in the flood besides the pictures, but the Pillsbury Bridge was demolished after the flood. Hi Matthew, thanks for the compliment regarding the Fargo pictures, I made them especially for Wikipedia. I took a road trip recently that mainly was in Minnesota, but I took some good pictures (unfortunately, only a handful) to add to ND articles, of Wahpeton & Abercrombie and the Red, Wild Rice, Sheyenne, Elm, and Goose Rivers, and I'll be uploading them in the coming days/weeks/months. (The last two need articles yet, which I intend to start, and I'm intending to help expand the Red River article at some point.) I wish I had the time and money to be able to travel more extensively around North Dakota taking pictures, because it's very beautiful and interesting. Interesting that you removed Mr Fujiwara's entry from the notable entries for New Rockford. Sadly, he was not JUST the inventor of colored popcorn. He was a scientist that worked on many other programs that have had lasting positive impact on the people of the United States AND the rest of the world. Mr Fujiwara worked on the replacement for lead in paint/researcher for Latex paint project. That work isn't much worth remembering unless of course you happen to be a person that didn't contact lead poisioning from paint. He asssisted Dr Von Braun's team with solid rocket research at Redstone in the mid 60's. It is ironic that his work on the solid rocket programe actually helped another New Rockford native achieve notable status. He patented "seasoned rye crisp" and other human foods to improve nutrition for low income families and was instrumental in the effort to put nutrition value on packaging. That's not important either.

Sadly you didn't consider his work noteworthy and chose to remove his name and ONE of the patents he was credited with. Though the man is not related to me, he changed my life and many others with his work on and in the scientific research community. Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies? Howdy! Thanks for the addition to the Bennett Elementary School talk page. I was a little disappointed to see it tagged as a "stub-level" article -- it was as comprehensive as my daughter's fourth-grade class could get in the time we had! I thought that adding a few footnotes might lift it out of stub-class. Hahahahaha. We'll live.

I think the entry can also count as part of the WikiSchools initiative, but looking at the template for that was making me go blind.

I'm a little puzzled at Leopold Samsonite's designation of the Bennett Elementary School article as "written like an advertisement," though. I went out of my way to use the "elementary schools" template provided with the WikiSchools project, and made sure not to include any "our school is the best in the world"-type of statements.
