Is it necessary to include Golden Raspberry Awards nominations at actor's page of "Awards and nominations". Because they those awards look like parody or satire. I am confused on this matter, because some winners and nominees have included them in their age like Will Smith but some didn't like Jennifer Aniston. Afghanistan renameI really don't understand why you thought it was a speedy request because if you read the discussion you would see it actually lasted for three weeks and a majority of 3-1 agreed to the rename based on sources. 100 percent unanimity isn't something that happens often on Wikipedia. Notability of Manic Street Preachers articlesYou removed the {{notability}} tag from several Manic Street Preachers-related articles. The reason I added this tag is because the subjects in question didn't meet the notability requirements (the guidelines that are found on the link contained within the tag): e.g. they didn't place on more than one reputable chart, or, they placed on one chart but did not have sufficient independent references to back them up (e.g. in the case of 4st 7lb, the article has numerous references but they are in regard to the album The Holy Bible and not the track in specific; by this (incorrect) logic any track could have an article if the album's subject has enough references). Jane CliveSo I made the page for Jane Clive who was listed as being nominated, but now she is not on the Oscar page (and she just had all her refs removed from her page from someone else as well as some odd things happened), not sure what to say is she nominated or not? Wgolf (talk) 23:01, 23 January 2015 (UTC) Sarkis Assadourian (fencer)I attached the category "Iranian Armenian people" for Sarkis Assadourian (fencer) as he is an ethnic Armenian from Iran just as the category implies. You had earlier asked where does it does say that he is from Armenia. Again, if you reread what I wrote, you would know that he is from Iran and not from Armenia. There is no argument there. As for the source to where it says he is Armenian, there is none posted. I just know he is an ethnic Armenian just by name as Armenians have a big community presence in Iran. I don't understand how you think of me as vandalizing an article? Perhaps, we could clear up some misunderstanding. Hovhannesk (talk) 14:33, 24 January 2015 (UTC) In case you missed itHi L. The Good CompanionsThis film had its world premiere at the Warner Theatre, Leicester Square on March 7th 1957 (I believe I initially put January in error). The film is, therefore a 1957 film and the BFI is wrong. A film is dated by its first public performance, not the year it was made.Ambak51 (talk) 12:58, 31 January 2015 (UTC) THe source is the cinema's advertising in The Times of March 7 1957, available on The Times Online Archive. About your (non)participation in the January 2012 SOPA voteHi. I am Piotr Konieczny (User:Piotrus), you may know me as an active content creator (see my userpage), but I am also a professional researcher of Wikipedia. Recently I published a paper (downloadable here) on reasons editors participated in Wikipedia's biggest vote to date (January 2012 WP:SOPA). I am now developing a supplementary paper, which analyzes why many editors did not take part in that vote. Which is where you come in :) You are a highly active Wikipedian (21st most active!), and you were active back during the January 2012 discussion/voting for the SOPA, yet you did not chose to participate in said vote. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me why was that so? For your convenience, I prepared a short survey at meta, which should not take more than a minute of your time. I would dearly appreciate you taking this minute; not only as a Wikipedia researcher but as a fellow content creator and concerned member of the community (I believe your answers may help us eventually improve our policies and thus, the project's governance). PS. If you chose to reply here (on your userpage), please WP:ECHO me. Thank you! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:59, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Tag-banned user and AfD nominationsFollowing their recent ban from tagging with {{notability}} I notice that in just two days from the 2nd to the 4th they have send 17 articles to Afd ([4]). Several of these cases are articles where the editor previously tagged with notability. Some AfD nominations fall within just 2-3 minutes of each other. I had a go at the oldest nomination,4st 7lb, and it was quite easy to add ten sources. All in all I don't get the impression that they try to search for and add sources prior to hitting the XfD button. About Retirement of Shahid AfridiHi. Shahid Afridi announced his retirement after ODI cricket after the World Cup. It is true. But as well, some media and newspapers stated that he delayed that decision, and he will continue about 2 years forward. So, it is really a matter, that is he really retired. So, it is good to give the best news out of all. Thanks. Gihan Jayaweera (talk) refer [5]

A tag has been placed on Tereza Trefná requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Maybe I am not clear so could you explain under what circumstances the notability tag may/is to be used. Here is fine. Thanks. Quis separabit? 22:07, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Tour de France projectI have seen lately you have been creating all riders in post WW2 Tours de France. Could you let me the riders in the editions of around 1985 or 1990 to present? I have already started working on them, you can see them at my contributions.--Old Time Music Fan (talk) 23:17, 27 March 2015 (UTC) I asked if i could do them, not you. Question about 2014 Cannes Film Festival PageI see that you reversed my latest revision of the Cannes Classics section and cited 'duplicate films' as the reason. I don't understand what you mean by 'duplicate films'. What I did was split the Cannes Classics table into two with one table under a Restorations subheading and a second table under a Documentaries subheading. My reason for doing this was that I plan to use this 'split' when editing pages for previous festivals. For example, yesterday while I was editing the 2011 Cannes Film Festival page, I began to mark Camera d'Or-eligible films with an asterisk. I noticed that there was one Camera d'Or-eligible film that played in Cannes Classics (a documentary). Therefore, I plan to add a Cannes Classics table to the 2011 Cannes Film Festival page. I figured that if I consistently split Cannes Classics into a Restorations (old movies) table and a Documentaries (new movies) table the information would be presented more clearly. Let me know what you think about this. Also, if I am using the talk page incorrectly, I apologize; this is my first time doing so. Kerlykew (talk) 12:42, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
fineI'm done doing cyclists. You have done all that i was going to do and you do it faster than me. I have done hardly any difference in the cycling area of wikipedia--Old Time Music Fan (talk) 22:02, 30 March 2015 (UTC) I just added a big chunk to his article. He seems to be a very serious contender for Flanders. My heart says Sagan, but reason says Kristoff or Devolder. You? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 23:46, 31 March 2015 (UTC) |
