Hi there. I've noticed a couple of times when going to close AfDs that, in cases where multiple articles have been nominated in a single nomination, not all of the articles have been tagged for AfD. • All snarking aside, I think I've found enough sourcing to merit withdrawal of this nom, please take a look.[1]. Hi Libstar. Miri Permy Mall is just Opened. I've edited the Shopping section. About the climate section do not change them or undo them. Those section should be remain unchanged. These information I got from weather website and Weather Station based in Miri. I have provided the information but I don't know how to put them on References but it's on the climate section.

My reading of the AfD was that two established contributors (and one IP with no history) had reviewed the sources and found them sufficient. While the rebuttals were reasonable they did not manage to convince any of the editors who opined for keep. I have not performed my own analysis of the sources and don't have my own opinion on the matter. I made an effort to ignore the irrelevant issues surrounding his more controversial positions. While we certainly don't delete articles on people or movements because we find them stupid, offensive, or controversial, we should also avoid the opposite error of keeping poorly sourced articles on such topics out of a concern to avoid censorship. IMHO, we might transwiki some of the pages we've been deleting previously to Edge MMA. It seems a tragedy to lose all the effort made, even though it appears several of us seem to agree about notability as it regards WP. I've sent a similar suggestion to User:Mtking. I came to your page to comment on this as well. G12 deletes are for obvious cases and without a source, or at least a good explanation of why it's a copyvio, it's not appropriate to G12 tag it. I'd also note that particular example was not a valid G12 as, although the current text may well be a copyright violation, there are versions in the history that would not be. Can I suggest you read / re-read the criteria at WP:G12. I looked for but could not find a source so in this instance I made an editorial decision (nothing to do with the possible copyvio) to remove the text in question as it would need a major re-write to become encyclopaedic. Hey, we at pdxlan (www.pdxlan.com) are working on getting that article up to snuff (it started as someones college project), however the LAN itself has existed for a decade or so. As you recommended it for deletion I just wanted to understand why. It's a major LAN event (the largest in the northwest US), happens 2-3 times a year, and has gotten media coverage in the past (though I can't personally locate any clips at the moment).

What can I do to make it more "notable"? I don't have an account so i'll check the PDXLAN page later.

As for the inline citations, are you sure it is really required in such an article? Which sources could you imagine in this case?

several months ago I edited the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazantip and you provided me your help and support.

Now I see that this commercial company Kazantip GmbH is still trying to put there their advertisement.

They are organising a small festival in Portugal that has nothing to do with the original event except the name.

Sure, I can check the article every day and remove their misleading links.

But maybe it's time to protect that article, as I suggest even much more activity from them within next months.

Tell me what you think and what we can do.

There are open tools for monitoring AFD stats, open to everyone by everyone, took me 30 seconds to retrieve your stats. You could look at my stats too. No secret. It's not stalking to look at someone's AFD stats. No more than looking at edit history. I think that the bit about the council running a legal Gypsy site at Ewood should have been left in the article as it is a notable fact about the town. IMO you have done a fair bit of chopping and you should really seek the opinions of other users before making such sweeping changes. I didnt know that anyone can edit WP, thanks for pointing that out. IMO before a "Cull" of the article is carried out, a consensus should be sought as to the extent of the "Cull". Its called respecting the article and not just running over it with size 9s. Just to say that edits can be reverted makes the edits that you did a waste of time. Hi Libstar. You recently removed information from the Demography section of the Blackburn article with this edit. You may be unaware of this, but there is a project guideline for articles about UK settlements on Wikipedia. In the demography section it recommends the following for potential inclusion:

• Current population and where the figure is taken from.
• The ethnic composition.
• The religious composition.
• Economic activity of the population.
• The population change over the last century.
• A note on social class (strictly where citation allows).
• Consider including a statistic comparison table.

The information you removed, which I've now restored, is fully referenced and pertains to the economic activity and social class of the population, and its ethnic composition.

Assuming you weren't already aware of it, I hope you'll find the UK settlements guide useful. The Blackburn article was extensively developed a few years ago and largely complies with the advice given there. Beejaypii (talk) 14:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

It's not a profession that naturally lends itself to notability or celebrity, but I think he fits the bill, and was also a pioneer in the field. I've invested a lot of time translating text from the Marbella article at Spanish Wikipedia into English, and in making many subsequent edits to the Marbella article, including adding sources.

Any help I could get from fellow Wikipedians in finding citations would be much appreciated. The Spanish article has Spanish-language sources that can be added to the English one.

I have given a WP:3RR warning to User:Afterwriting but you have both already violated the three revert rule in your edit war. First, I wanted to thank you for finding and following up with the copyright issues you identified here. This work is not always pleasant (well, okay - hardly ever pleasant), but it's important, and it looks as though the editor has a better understanding now - which is critical. :)

I do see, though, that some of the splits identified in that section remain unattributed. Even though they were done a long time ago, this attribution is necessary, since content on Wikipedia is also under copyright and use of it without complying with the license is also a copyright issue.

I went ahead and took care of List of people from Trieste ([24], [25], [26]) in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. (Not all lists have enough creativity to require attribution, but the descriptions by the names in that list do add that burden.) Can you please take care of the others that were mentioned as well as attributing any other content that you might have moved from one article to another, so we can make sure that lingering copyright issues there are addressed?

Hi, I know this is probably not of much use but I felt like responding anyway to your WP:3O request on a user. I've come across many new users like these who don't use talk pages/edit summaries even after I give them the notice. Some users have been here for years, not that active but still editing consistently, and almost never post/reply/use summaries. There is almost zero communication with them and the rest of the community and they seem fine on their own...editing in their preferred topic range, as long as they don't begin editing important articles and begin making unexplained mass changes.

Since edit summaries are mostly recommended but not compulsory, and based on the user's choice, it would be wise let it be as it is. Chances are, if the user in future, makes a big change or gets involved in a content dispute, then in most cases, they end up communicating. If they don't and behave disruptive, then there is a question of WP:competence. For this case, the user's edits were regular and didn't seem contentious....I don't think the lack of summaries here is something to question (yet).
