Your submission at Articles for creation: Cleffy (July 14)![]() This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was:
You need to provide citations to secondary sources that provide substantial coverage about the subject in question. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
Some advice on your editsThanks for your contributions and enthusiasm! It's great to see. I want to let you know I had to flag a number of images you had uploaded to Commons for deletion. The reason is that they are a copyright violation. Any images you add to the platform need to be under an open license. You can read more at Commons Licensing, but the gist is, just because an image is out on the internet does not mean it is available for us to use. It's also not OK to upload an image you don't own, but tick the box saying you do own it. If you didn't take the photo yourself with a camera, you almost certainly don't own it. Sometimes album artwork is uploaded to Wikipedia itself (not commons) under a fair-use rationale, but this is a different process to the normal way of uploading photos. To re-upload them under fair use, go to the File Upload Wizard and choose "Upload a non-free file". Fair use is likely to apply to album artwork, but not to photos of the artist. I've had a look at your drafts for Lil Darkie and Cleffy and notability is the big problem:
The Lil Darkie article does still have a lot of style problems though:
You're on the right track here, so I hope you stick around and keep editing. A good place to start would be finding existing articles on topics you find interesting and making constructive edits to those, so you can get a feel for what a good article looks like. Happy editing! David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 01:37, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Lil Darkie (July 20)![]() This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. The comment the reviewer left was:
Some prose issues on this one. E.g.: "Darkie is proud of his Indian heritage and shows that through his cartoon character.", "The song is on his SoundCloud." Please update to use encyclopedic tone throughout. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
