Your Arbitration evidence is too longHello, Keithbob. Thank you for your recent submission of evidence for the TimidGuy ban appeal Arbitration case. As you may be aware, the Arbitration Committee asks that users submitting evidence in cases adhere to limits regarding the length of their submissions. These limits, of User:HersfoldArbClerkBot/Length header/Words words and User:HersfoldArbClerkBot/Length header/Diffs diffs maximum, are in place to ensure that the Arbitration Committee receives only the most important information relevant to the case, and is able to determine an appropriate course of action in a reasonable amount of time. The evidence you have submitted currently exceeds at least one of these limits, and is presently at 704 words and 60 diffs. Please try to reduce the length of your submission to fit within these limits; this guide may be able to provide some help in doing so. If the length of your evidence is not reduced soon, it may be refactored or removed by a human clerk within a few days. Thank you! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the case, please contact the drafting Arbitrator or case clerk (listed on the case pages); if you have any questions or concerns about this bot, please contact the operator. On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, HersfoldArbClerkBOT(talk) 14:12, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

The Civil WarsKeith, Sensibility Music is The Civil Wars' management company and label. Bridgewater Associates needs cleanupAfter the December GA review, this article was tagged with a host of verifiability problems. See the article's talk page for my note: in 7 days I'll revisit the article. If the tags haven't been addressed, I'll do a reassessment, which could mean the loss of GA status. You're the main contributor, so I thought I should let you know. Cheers, AstroCog (talk) 13:41, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Question/HelpHey, I have worked with you before on the risk parity article as well as financial risk. However, it seems I am having issues with User:Brianmarc on the Downside risk page (and less so on Sortino ratio). I have tried to contact this user on his talk page to try to work together on improving the article, but it seems he is not willing to be cooperative and, in my view, is merely blanking out entire parts of pages (that are cited) without giving reason. I'm not sure how to go forward with this, and was hoping for your help in figuring out what to do. Thank you. Zfeinst (talk) 04:41, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Good. I'm glad an Admin has stepped in. Brianmarc is a rather inexperienced user and may not be aware that Wikipedia has strict policies on WP:CIVILITY and WP:NPA (No Personal Attacks). I haven't looked at all his edits but his edit summaries that say: "keep getting ambushed bt some ignorant wannabe!" and "Fuck you, cocksucket" are not acceptable and if repeated, after a warning from an Admin, could result in a temporary block of the user account. There are various kinds of dispute resolution which are outlined at WP:DISPUTE. There are two basic kinds of disputes: content and behavior. If he continues to be incivil and make personal attacks (behavior) then I would post a note on the talk page of the Admin who has intervened and show him the diffs sample diff here. The Admin will take care of the behavior. If he continues to remove large quantities of content, especially sourced content, like he has here [1] and leaves the edit summary blank and doesn't respond to your requests for an explanation on the talk page; then you could take the matter to the WP:DRN which is a dispute resolution noticeboard for non-specific content issues. Be sure to notify Brianmarc if you open a discussion at DRN so he can participate. Dispute resolution is a complicated, time consuming and painstaking process, but it will give you results if you stick with it. If you need further assistance now or in the future, please feel free to contact me. Wikipedia needs more sincere, civil, collaborative editors like you to help us improve the encyclopedia. So be patient and keep the faith. Cheers! -- — Keithbob • Talk • 17:26, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

And. from your parting words to him at his talk and at ANI, I glean that you likewise are a forthright editor. Your words were eloquent and insightful and they fit situations in my editing life. If I may, I ask that I can "borrow them" (with a bit of rephrasing and good old WP editing) to situations where they may shed the light of awareness. Someone named Fasttimes68 keeps getting into editing wars, now it seems with this former model's page. Her husband only "claims" to be a billionaire, it was never reported by a third party source that is actually is. I suggest this matter with this editing person be stopped. He seems to like arguing with other editors regarding models quite often on here. JohnJaySee (talk) 13:04, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Nice job, yes. In viewing the article on Young, the husband's part is not necessary in an article about a model who is notable for her own career, not his. Perhaps the debatable sentence about him should be removed for just that reason alone and it will also avoid further edit warring. 71.183.42.144 (talk) 13:50, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Or to draw (or ignore) any of the factual information inserted in the talk page. You have modeled for me excellent interaction and selfless contribution towards improving WP and how in turn this has taken a burden off me personally. I am very comfortable with the facts of RB and of what I have tried to do. Incidentally we share a fondness for Eckhart Tolle and a number of other related matters. I will contribute in the Talk Space as needed on both REDBUBBLE and my BLP and will do so in the third person. I don't do this to misrepresent my connection but just so my contributions are given no more (and no less weight than others). I will declare on my user page my conflict of interest in line with WP:COI but will take it as read in relation to REDBUBBLE and the BLP Martin Hosking so I don't need to declare it each time.XcommR (talk) 00:14, 16 April 2012 (UTC) fyi. I have requested a minor edit to the BLP for accuracy. Also that the article be edited back as it is now split. At some stage would like the Talk Space cleaned up as it contains some malicious material and I understand the wp:BLP policies also apply in talk space. No urgency. Appreciate all your professionalism. XcommR (talk) 12:20, 25 April 2012 (UTC) Bored? Haaha..Did I ever give you one of these invitations? Either way, click and scroll down on the page connected with the little babel box. When I get bored, I either check out the various lists of things to do there. Also, I have kept a list of maybe 5 or 6 articles whose notability is in question. My problem is that I don't like to address those (potentially confrontational) issues, so if you are willing, let me know! *Also, I am truly computer illiterate with the exception of using email, and some Wikipedia and Commons. This especially applies to removing watermarks and frames for the photos I've uploaded. Would you be willing to do any of that stuff? There are a slew of photos in Commons that should be placed in a Category of their own, but I'm ignorant as far as creating categories there properly; and many need more work, too, each really deserves it there, but I can provide a list of them for you as well. Name yer poison! Matter of fact, if you don't like these options, let me know, and I'll have a new list for you!

I did a lot of work on it, both bad and good, and a couple years ago, asked another editor to help clean it up, and the more that is yanked around without knowing where those references actually are could leave the whole biography in two sentences really soon if it continues. Speedy deletion nomination of RedBubble![]()
A tag has been placed on RedBubble requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 02:08, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Re: Kara AnastasioApologies for the length, this kind of got away from me. As this isn't primarily about the article subject anymore, I'm responding here. Wikipedia:Proposed deletions are fine, which is what you did. Anyone may remove them, normally by showing that something is not a hoax, including or providing references here, demonstrating notability, or indicating that it would need a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion example. I did not claim that she is notable, but removed the Prod, suggesting that the article be redirected to United States House of Representatives elections, 2004#Ohio (note that #Ohio goes to the corresponding section), since United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio, 2004&redirect=no (the corresponding state sub-article doesn't exist, and currently redirects back there). If deleted, search results would land readers at a page similar to this, while no longer having her article there. Indeed Ohio's 7th congressional district#Election results might be an even better anchor, as showing both attempts simultaneously. First elections rarely need to state 'unsuccessful, they ran again here 2 years later', but subsequent elections often mention 'previously unsuccessful, ran again'. Having identified that she was an unsuccessful candidate but still the nominee and a plausible search term, an attempted redirect should be the first step. Proposing deletion leaves a void, which prompts recreation if left redlinked elsewhere. If the redirect stays, fine; if reverted, the article can be taken to AfD. After your post at article talk & my talk, I initially thought I'd removed an AfD template (a no-no), and was relieved to discover we were just miscommunicating. You may now either redirect it or take it to AfD, where redirect will be the likely result unless notability is established. Questions? Dru of Id (talk) 19:23, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Criteria issuesHey- I believe the associated acts as I understand it, are those groups which the person in question was a member at some point. Lately, I've seen articles with a litany of every musician who ever even jammed with another person! Eric Clapton, for example, has played with damn near every amazing musician alive. How can they all fit in an infobox? But, if Clapton was a member of a band, such as The Yardbirds, or John Mayall's band, then they qualify as associated acts. If one disagrees with my assessment, then I defy them to figure out what to put as associated acts for session musicians' biographies like the ones for multi-instrumentalist David Lindley, or Waddy Wachtel, both of whom have played with damn near all the greats across genres. However, now that I think about it- back to Eric Clapton, if it is unavoidable to list all the people, or past members, you can always create a little fold thing, where someone must click to see the full list. There's my best guess. Hope this helps. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 03:48, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

McKinsey HistoryHi Keith. Just wanted to let you know My2011 and I have been working on the draft history section of the McKinsey & Company article we started in May. I just posted an update on his Talk page asking if it was ready for article-space. You are probably a more senior editor than either of us and I thought you might want to chime in and take a look. I was also poking a bit on the Office Locations section we discussed in May that kind of slipped through the cracks and never got implemented. Finally, if you're interested, we could use your experience for the upcoming Organization section. There are some unsourced criticisms near the end of that section. Asking to remove content isn't really my bread and butter and I won't declare that no sources exist (lest I get proven wrong). Maybe you could lend some perspective on the best approach? STEVE EARLEHi. I don't have time at the moment to make corrections, but wanted to let you know that you have made some mistakes in your edits of the article on Steve Earle. (For instance, he was only in jail about two months.) You rely heavily on a brief CMT web bio, when previous authors had relied on extensive published biographies by St.John and McGee, though they were not always cited well. This is a problem I see often on Wikipedia: references too often are satisfied by web sources, while better researched books are not considered. I will work on it, but do try to go beyond a sketchy web bio if you are going to make such wholesale changes, or simply put a "reference needed" tag. 99.43.32.160 (talk) 18:34, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

BTW: COIDave is me. For a time when I changed my username to Corporate I thought it was a good idea to create an alternate account for my COI work like others have, but ultimately kinda ditched the idea, but just kept with it where I already introduced myself as COIDave. Administrator's NoticeboardI thought it was relevant to notify you that there is a discussion concerning User: Agadant and the Web Sheriff article at the Administrator's Noticeboard. Since you were active on the Web Sheriff talk page some time back and because you have worked with Agadant on other articles with good results, I thought it might be appropriate to notify you. I have not mentioned your name in my thread but in case you have an interest and would like to comment on the matter at hand I am providing a link here. Credit SuisseHi Keithbob. It sounds like I won't be doing work for a Credit Suisse competitor, so I went ahead and finished up the article. I'm not shooting for a ranked article or anything, but would love your feedback if you felt there was a specific area that needed improvement. I also thought I would point out I suggested we merge First Boston with Credit Suisse First Boston on a string you started over there. Corporate 16:14, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Help neededHi Silk, sometime ago I created an article called RedBubble at the request of the community (talk page) to replace a contentious BLP for one of its founders. Anyway, the article now has some issues that need the attention of an Admin. ie page protection, sock puppetry and possible outing. I know you are very busy. Is there someone you could recommend that I could confer with as to how to best proceed with these issues? Many thanks, -- — Keithbob • Talk • 18:58, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
I've requested a GA review for John Hagelin. You, I, and TG seem to have the most edits on that page of active editors. Per the reviewers suggestion, I'm going to reformat the entire referencing style. If you'd like to join in I'd be happy to have the help. No pressure just if you have the time and interest.(olive (talk) 20:42, 16 October 2012 (UTC))

Articles don't have to be big to get GA. But they do require 'broad coverage'. [3] A lot depends on who you get as a GA reviewer. Some are stricter than others. But size is not a criteria, for example I got GA for Norman E. Rosenthal, Amos Lee and Risk parity. And yes it would be a good idea to start with a smaller article if you have one in mind.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 23:07, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated. I've found several CD reviews and there are articles in the Huffington Post and Washington Post. He's from the Boston area, so I'm certain the Boston Globe and/or Herald would have articles as well. He's one of the top folk musicians out there, IMHO and deserves better than what's currently published on Wikipedia. Thanks so much for any assistance you may have the time or inclination for. No online articles, no magazines, no family, no "close sources" or anything. She said that on her twitter. This is why I am certain that, unless she or John specifically announces otherwise, THEY ARE NOT A COUPLE. It really bothers me how many people don't pay attention to the most reliable sources, which in this case are John and Katy themselves. There has not been any official proof (i.e. pics of kissing, making out, or anything intimate) of her dating John. Even if http://www.3news.co.nz/ is thought to be reliable, the site DOES NOT speak for Katy. You can read her tweet here regarding any gossip, past or present: https://twitter.com/katyperry/status/155808503326441473 Thesomeone987 (talk) 21:15, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Thesomeone987
Credit SuisseHey Keithbob. I have three smaller articles waiting for GA review now and I was thinking of switching back to bringing Credit Suisse up to GA. Besides the Corporate Culture and Investment strategy sections, do you think there are any other major sections missing/lacking that need beefing up? I'm going to vet the editorial and sourcing closely now. Corporate 20:26, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Getting Hedge fund structure rightHi Keithbob, on Monday of last week I posted a thorough reply to your comments (and others') with another revision of the Hedge fund structure section that I hope answers the outstanding concerns. My reply (see here) is admittedly long, however I'd like to ask if you're willing to look at it again and offer your feedback to this version. Let me know back on that Talk page if you're able. McKinsey & HealthcareHi Keithbob. It's been a couple weeks without any more input. Do you think it's ready for merge? I pinged My2011, since he has been involved since the beginning. Gigs' user page says he is out sick and DGG prefers not to do proxy editing via request edits. So I think it falls on you unless you would like to wait a bit longer for My2011. I have not read each of them yet, however I did notice that you re-wrote the reference to Paul Krugman's Dec. 2011 reference to Mr. Schiff. That particular language, with the inclusion of the Schiff quotation, was negotiated among several editors after lengthy discussion on the talk page [4]. Please revert that portion of your edit. Much obliged.'''SPECIFICO''' (talk) 19:52, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Technical AnalysisHi, Moving on with Hedge fundHi there, Keithbob. I've left another note on the Talk page, essentially making the point that while I think a more concise treatment of the sections we're working toward is a fine goal down the road, the material I am presenting at least fixes existing problems with the article, and may itself be the basis for a forked article down the road. And it is important to me to address the immediate problems that I see with the article before thinking about another rewrite effort. I hope you'll reconsider and help me accomplish this, but if you have made up your mind, I'll respect that, and seek input from others.
