The Report is more of a mix of random topics than usual this week. The top spot is taken by Bhutanese passport, a Wikipedia article which contained a crazed spoken word version which drew widespread attention.
The Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) will announce later today that it will begin accepting edits by mail for all of the projects under its scope, including Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Commons.

We are going to change the way value suggestions are ranked when entering a new statement. This will help with "male" and "female" not showing up among the top suggestions. Previously we ranked by number of sitelinks. We will change this to the maximum of sitelinks and labels. So if an item has labels in many languages but no sitelinks like "male" and "female" it will still show up high in the suggestions. (phabricator:T94404)
Discussed how to move forward with identifiers. Outcome: They should get their own datatype. (phabricator:T95287)
Implemented arbitrary access for the {{#property:…}} parser function. This can be invoked on the wikis that have arbitrary access enabled by using {{#property:P123|from=Q42}}. So far this is only Wikidata itself.
Did further performance work on the client (Wikipedia and co) in preparation for arbitrary access
Improved the performance of wbgetentities significantly when loading a large number of entities
I'd like to invite everyone to join the WikiProject R&B and Soul Music. We are currently on demand for new members, the project was dying, but with your help we can revive it and make it one of the best WikiProjects. Make me sure that you'll think about this and remember cooperative works can do amazing things. Regards Dfrr (talk) 10:30, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Request on 07:42:23, 13 April 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Thaiso
Hi there - thanks for your feedback on the Deep Ocean Minerals article. This is what you said:
"There are some format issues, and I cannot work out with ease which are to be headings and which subheadings. I have done some for you. Please use our headings. See WP:MOS
All inline links must be removed, please, and turned into references if appropriate, Wikilinks, or external links in a section so named
I think you have several articles in one, here. Please examine the text with care, and consider with precision what the actual Wikipedia article is. Note that you may need to have discussions via OTRS to permit the text to be used with articles you split this into.
Note for future reviewers: OTRS approval has been given for the text. See the talk page"
However, sorry I am so new to this I am learning, I don't understand what you mean by removing the inline links as the links I put were to other wikipedia pages which I thought was allowed. There is only one link to an outside website. Also in relation to several different articles I think the headings are all pertinent to DOM and to split them up would be a bit confusing as they are all related. I also carefully followed how other wikipedia articles were set up so that it would fit. The way you have changed the headings works for me however I am not clear what you think are separate articles. If you could explain further that would be great. I do appreciate your time. You are receiving this message because you have a one-year subscription to Newspapers.com through the Wikipedia Library. This is a brief update, to remind you about that access:
Please make sure that you can still log in to your Newspapers.com account. If you are having trouble let me know.
Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, to include citations with links on Wikipedia. Links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed. Also, keep in mind that part of Newspapers.com is open access via the clipping function. Clippings allow you to identify particular articles, extract them from the original full sheet newspaper, and share them through unique URLs. Wikipedia users who click on a clipping link in your citation list will be able to access that particular article, and the full page of the paper if they come from the clipping, without needing to subscribe to Newspapers.com. For more information about how to use clippings, see http://www.newspapers.com/basics/#h-clips .
Do you write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, let me know and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.
Finally, we would greatly appreciate it if you filled out this short survey. Your input will help us to facilitate this particular partnership, and to discover what other partnerships and services the Wikipedia Library can offer.
All I want is to provide some writer with this dossier. I am a biased party as I am associated with Warren. Where can I do that? I have a link to a Google Doc from which any party could write a great article.
I had started to amend and improve my page with more links to show its relevance, but I now see that someone has created this exact same page for this music album, yet includes a mere two references: the first is an iTunes link that I had included, while the second is a Sun newspaper article about Shayne Ward being dumped back in 2011 and not about the new album at all.
Could you perhaps shed some light on why this page was approved and yet mine was rejected please? As far as I can tell, they're near identical except even my initial draft had more than two references attached and had a little more text.
Hello User:Josve05a sorry for disturbing you. The reason I am writing you is we all love Wikipedia and we want it expanding. However there is a discussion going on to delete a notable game article because of biased opinions. I saw that you edited this article: Vampire_Holmes and let it stay for further expansion, update and keep growing Wikipedia. But I am also totally agree with you to let articles stay for improvements and expand Wikipedia. So I believe you are a neutral, professional, objective and who believes in expanding Wikipedia not shrinking it type of person. So I would like you to check out this discussion Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/MonsterMMORPG_(2nd_nomination) and make your comment based on references it has. References are here Talk:MonsterMMORPG. Please feel free to delete my message to you after you read it. Thank you very much have a nice day.176.233.41.152 (talk) 14:26, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

On Tuesday, we are deploying usage tracking (no arbitrary access yet) to Dutch Wikipedia and French Wikisource, and subscription tracking on Wikidata. There should be no noticeable changes for users. These are necessary steps towards enabling arbitrary access in clients.
