Joel Osteen/Lakewood ChurchFirst and foremost, when I first replied to you, I didn't realize you were an editor. I apologize for the lack of respect I showed to someone in your position. That said, could you please explain why you believe my posts to be soapboxing? I could understand if they were opinionated, but I don't believe they are. It isn't "this is how I feel about Joel Osteen," it's a report on a verifiable event that occured at Lakewood Church that is documented by two federal courts. I could also understand if I had originally posted the material. I didn't, I just undid when others deleted it without what I believe to be justifiable cause. I truly appreciate your assistance in this matter. Adamkey (talk) 02:44, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Tom Brown's School Days (1940 film).jpgThank you for uploading Image:Tom Brown's School Days (1940 film).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Not sure that I ever really noticed that you were an admin until I was looking at the list of Admins tonight for someone to help me. Thought I'd give you a whirl, given your history of level headed thinking that I usually come around to agreeing with, if only eventually. Okay, so here's the deal: I want a page moved back to its old title. I will place events in bulleted sequence, in order to try to avoid my usual excessive explanation:
And, in the meantime, Fishead has not edited for over a week now, not since his ill-considered move. I think I have been very patient. If you have time, I'd love for you to read my arguments in detail over at Talk:Nile, but I know that's probably asking too much. As it stands right now, I have to assume that Fishead is simply not doing Wikipedia right now, and is unaware of the controversy he has caused (oh, a couple of editors have finally weighed in on the move. One is opposed, and the other's opinion I can't ascertain). So, since Fishhead can't or won't reply, I think I've been plenty patient, and ask if you would consider moving this back to simply Nile. Thanks. Unschool 06:27, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I contribute in a broad spectrum of areas especially but by no means not limited to Editor Assistance, Media Copyright Questions, Graphic Lab and FPC, I have created a number of articles and overhauled a lot more, especially with regard to cleaning up and improving imagery. I cleaned it up so there wasn't a ton of blank page created by both pics appearing under the infobox on the left; it looks like, to someone quickly viewing the article, there's no info to be had. It's cumbersome and I figured it'd be a good thing to do, so I'm not sure why you'd want it to look like that. Without a good reason, I'm going to be bold and fix it. The image was either individually tagged or was in a category tagged with the {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} template. Your image is now available to all Wikimedia projects at the following location: Commons:File:Bush welcomes Queen Elizabeth II to White House.jpg. Re: closure of FFD - File:Bambino POTUS.gifHi JGHowes, I understand your consternation at the closure this way with two in favour and two opposed deletion and will try to explain my decision as best as possible. With all FfD discussions what is important is not the numbers of people on each side but the strength of the arguments as interpreted by the closer in light of policy. In this case the nomination noted that the image in both articles was not discussed, though the event the image portrays was mentioned in one. In the case of a nomination like this (where the image is asserted to fail WP:NFCC#8) it is incumbent on those seeking to keep the image to show how, in the absence of any discussion of the image itself, its presence in the article significantly increases reader's understanding. My assessment of the arguments is largely that two people (nominator and Stifle) are on the side that the image can be replaced by text, is not discussed in the articles, does not add significantly to reader's understanding and as such is a decorative image that does not meet the NFCC requirements. On the other side, yourself and Fastily, is the argument that the inherent characteristics of the image and discussion in the article that is not directly related to the image signficantly enhances the article. Both sides are presented as for many other FfDs that I've seen and closed and I assessed this in much the same way. Those seeking to delete the image make pertinent, policy based arguments while on the keep side the argument's strength is much diminished by the lack of any image discussion in the article, and the misconnection between the argument that the image significantly increases readers understanding counterpointed with the admission that the image is largely to illustrate a part of the subject (his iconic status during the great depression) that is not directly related to the image at hand. Lastly I note that the nominator noted that the image can be replaced by text and backed this up later in the debate. In this case my reading of the debate is that the policy-based-consensus is for the image failing NFCC#8 and NFCC#1. I'm happy for you to take this to deletion review but, based on precedent and my interpretation of the NFCC requirements I cannot see my way to reversing the closure - Peripitus (Talk) 05:56, 27 May 2009 (UTC) DYK for Outlaw Trail: The Treasure of Butch CassidyDravecky (talk) 08:21, 29 May 2009 (UTC) NowCommons: File:JetBlue Airways Logo.svgFile:JetBlue Airways Logo.svg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:JetBlue Airways Logo.svg. IP 63.149.146.130Hello. As you were the previous blocking admin on 63.149.146.130 (talk • contribs • info • WHOIS), I would like to request that you review the more recent edits from that IP. I realise that you are a busy person, but I'd rather have an informed opinion before taking it to AIV. you know I do use Wikipedia very often being a high school student mainly for US history ugh!! but i dont think i rele want to create a user account. not because of any other reason than i have to much going on as it is. i rele appreciate the offer though, i used to think that the people who edit wikipedia were like the guy in the weired al yancovic song white and nerdy (if you havent seen it check it out on you tube its hilarious)but now i realize that it is not like that but all of the editors and administrators are normal people with normal jobs who think they can widen peoples knowledge about certain subjects. youve helped me learn history and now you helped me learn about the real people behind Wikipedia, thanks 75.89.200.218 (talk)John —Preceding undated comment added 03:16, 1 December 2009 (UTC). --NBahn (talk) 02:39, 10 December 2009 (UTC) How can I help the public with the truth?? These are the ACM fraud activities articles. I want to help victims by info. Thank you very much for your friendly comments. Here's the link of ACM fraud case - will be reported to FBI with recent case. You will notice these articles are all about ACM fraud - I am researching more to help victims. Maybe, I can be a wikipedian, too!! Merry Christmas![]() A NobodyMy talk is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow! Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message. To those who make Good Arguments, who are appreciative, or supportive. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 19:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC) NRLCAYou never responded to my response to you on the NRLCA's talk page. I really don't feel like having those banners on the site.--Johnny Spasm (talk) 04:21, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
