Just because both are listed in a pointless discussion, means that Orphaned images can be accomodated. If deleted, admins can always bring them back. —IB[ Poke ]10:19, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
I absolutely agree with you. This IS a 'pointless discussion'. The user is trying to say that the cover released by the album's artist and record company is NOT the official version and we must use the image from a streaming media!!!.... CerberaOdollam (talk) 11:22, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
Don't Tell Me and WIFLFAG
Hi IndianBio how are you? How everything's great! Thank you for the help on the Don't Tell Me sandbox, really looking forward to making this one a GA. I also wanted to tell you and ask for your help in another sandbox I'm also working on that I'd appreciate your help. I'll be travelling this week and won't be able to log in that much; feel free to edit that sandbox as you please :) Thank U and hope all is well.--Chrishm21 (talk) 18:21, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
@IndianBio:, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! Great job on the expansion, as you could see I still need to work better on redacting and quoting and citations hehe. What it Feels Like for a Girl is right here, feel free to start working on it whenever you please :D I would also like and plan to bring the album and song to Good Article status, as they are the only remaining songs from the Music series and it'll be another good topic :D (I think that won't be too hard as the song's article is fairly well written and the album's already a good article in the spanish wiki). Hope I can count with your help. Again thank you!!!--Chrishm21 (talk) 11:00, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
@Chrishm21: no problem and I'm happy to help around, although don't get much time nowadays. So you mean I can start working on the WIFLFAG sandbox? I don't wanna go into edit conflict with you. —IB[ Poke ]11:04, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
Go right ahead :D if and when I do edit, I'll wait till after you're done so there won't be conflicts.--Chrishm21 (talk) 11:07, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, Swift can most certainly be TFA on her birthday. You might wanna consult WP:TFA and the nomination procedure there. —IB[ Poke ]12:12, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
If we have to have to worry about someone deeming something not notable in Wiki articles and basically waste our time trying to add something of interest and factual, I would add, why do we bother contributing anything more when there are many other sites to contribute our time and money - and to find more thorough music info (i.e., AllMusic, Amazon, Discogs, etc.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeltonP (talk • contribs) 14:48, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
Ciao Italia: Live from Italy
Those songs were not performed in their total but were part of a medley, with hlist parameters it is not possible to add their credits properly. Also, released "formats" do NOT belong in a track listing section. Johnnyboytoy (talk) 17:51, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
The tracklist is as per the DVD/video release, not your call as to what constitutes as medley. —IB[ Poke ]17:52, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
Sure Ss112, and just to let you know, whatever differences that we have had, its all in past. I have immense respect of you as an editor. —IB[ Poke ]04:10, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
Clean up
Hi IndianBio! Good job with the cleaning up/expanding of the 'True Blue' article, I've been wanting to do the same to other old Madonna articles - specifically from the 1st two albums. If you compare them to the spanish ones, they're in very poor quality. Keep up the good job!--Chrishm21 (talk) 12:04, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
That sounds great!! I'm working on Holiday right now hehe. Once both WIFLFAG and Don't Tell Me become GA, I'll try to do the remaining 'Music' articles for a good topic.--Chrishm21 (talk) 12:31, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
@Chrishm21: whatever you edit for "Holiday" please do it in the main page now as I have finished the editing. Or copy the latest version from the main page to your sandbox and then edit. —IB[ Poke ]15:14, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
Please review Caillou Pettis
Can you please look over the draft available for the article on Caillou Pettis and see if it is good to submit for actual publication? Thanks.
Hello IndianBio!! Wow!! Thank you so much for the great work on WIFLFAG!! Now that that's done there are only 2 more articles to go to get another Good Topic! D: I have begun working on the title track (feel free to start editing that one whenever you can/please :D). I was also wondering if we should create an article for track "Paradise (Not For Me)", I believe it has enough notoriety to have its own article - been featured on 3 of Madonna's tours and is one of her most well-known non singles from the 'Music' album. Let me know what You think. Thank U and cheers.--Chrishm21 (talk) 19:10, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Also, is "American Pie" necessary for a complete good topic of "Music"? It was included on some of that album's editions (such as the one here in Spain hehe)--Chrishm21 (talk) 19:13, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi @Chrishm21: yes, "American Pie" also needs to be a GA for the Music article to be considered a GT, since there is well documentation of how Madonna had been manipulated by a Warner executive in including it on the album. Also please go ahead and start working on "Paradise (Not for Me)" and I can work on "Music". I'm excited to have this one promoted sooner. —IB[ Poke ]04:06, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Hello! But won't that one song be too hard, as it's gonna need information from the original version?? I'll try to start working on the 'Paradise' article, as soon as possible. Remember, you have my permission to start doing my 'Music' sandbox. Cheers!--Chrishm21 (talk) 08:12, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
@Chrishm21: It won't be difficult since "American Pie" is a pretty well-known song and there is lot of material for it. Let me see what all I can find. "Music" I will start from tomorrow. —IB[ Poke ]08:28, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi @Moella: there is long standing consensus to invalidate these sales as as record company inflation. And to use 6 million as accepted sales. —IB[ Poke ]05:20, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi @IndianBio: My dear the 6M certifications do cover 75% of the claimed sales and all of which date back to 2011/2012. there is nothing hard to believe here and on many many pages for different artists the sales don't match with certifications. This label inflation talk isn't accurate since they didn't inflate her other albums? you seem to have a grasp on these Gaga pages since wiki is supposed to be information based on articles and Billboard is the biggest music news outlet and not based on consensus. Moella (talk) 07:34, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Please learn to write with proper indentation. And as I said, there is long standing consensus in the Talk page archives, which cannot be overruled by even Billboard. Please raise a new discussion and invite people if you want to include the content. If current consensus presides over the previous one, then definitely the 8 million figure can be included. —IB[ Poke ]07:45, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Holiday (Madonna) Edits
Hello, I am to inform you that it wasn't a false edit, all you really needed to do was check the Just Dance 2 tracklist on it's page to prove it's on said tracklist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justdancingsam (talk • contribs) 13:41, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:08, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Better structure? Dumping all awards together under one section that too such a vast list is not an improvement in any way. —IB[ Poke ]14:03, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
No thanks, you are the one who needs to discuss and attain consensus. Every Featured award list has a specific format so kindly don't tamper with it. —IB[ Poke ]14:07, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
Rescue Me
WOW!! Rescue Me, that was fast! hahah great job as always!! I have been absent for a little while as I was busy travelling and wasn't able to log in. Will u do Justify next or the Music articles? let me know if yu need help. Hope all is well. Cheers!--Chrishm21 (talk) 20:24, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi, IndianBio. I want to thank you a lot for taking the time to review Weapon, and I look forward to making it better with your input. It's a little messy compared to my more recent articles, but that can all be fixed. Thanks again! CelestialWeevil(talk)14:18, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
Sure thing, does not look like anything that cannot be fixed, and you have waited so long so in no way I am gonna quick-fail. The goal is to get this promoted. —IB[ Poke ]15:22, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
I could be wrong and this would probably take a while to make definitive conclusions for either way, but some part of my instinct tells me this could be a sock of ShaneFilaner given similar focuses on Katy Perry discography and (to a lesser extent) Westlife discography along with suspiciously similar additions to the former. What do you think? Snuggums (talk / edits) 04:11, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
@SNUGGUMS: just noticed and reverted while you were posting in my talk page. The giveaway here is definitely the usage of Hits Daily Double website as a reliable source which Shane has used countless times. —IB[ Poke ]04:13, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
I personally don't remember him using that as often as more obscure sites (also often with far-fetched claims), yet he somehow often managed to mix both legitimate additions (IFPI, CBS News, and maybe Pure Charts were viable from the new account) with dubious ones in his updates. Pinging Acalamari who is familiar with his behavior and blocked the guy indefinitely for repeatedly trying to sneak in disruptive (and sometimes deceptive) changes even if we don't yet have enough diffs for SPI. Snuggums (talk / edits) 04:18, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
I have reverted it for the timebeing because too many dubious updates have been done. Some of them are blatant incorrect, like the IFPI sources do not list the full sales of Teenage Dream like that. Even if the source is from IFPI he is fabricating the content. —IB[ Poke ]04:22, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
I could find only two credible edits. One from Pure charts for French sales of Witness and another the IFPI "I Kissed a Girl" sales. —IB[ Poke ]04:26, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
UPDATE: Those along with IFPI for "California Gurls" sales, a Pure Charts update for Witness worldwide sales, and a CBS News link for "Birthday" sales were the only legitimate additions I found and have put those back in accordingly. Everything else should be kept out. Snuggums (talk / edits) 04:36, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
Much appreciated. Feel free to email me if you'd like to know how I figured this out, but I'm not going to post that here because he'll likely see and find a way around it like he evidently has with semi-protection. Giving indefinite ECP to his typical targets should help. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:11, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Rescue Me (Madonna song) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of SNUGGUMS -- SNUGGUMS (talk) 01:00, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
