I am thinking we should maybe reorganize these two campaignboxes Post-Aleppo and decline of ISIL (December 2016–September 2017) and ISIL collapse in Syria (September 2017–present). The first one should be titled Post-Aleppo and ISIL collapse in Syria (December 2016–November 2017) and the second should be titled Rebel decline (December 2017–present) (or something similar). The second should include: 3rd Northwestern Syria, Turkish operation in Idlib, Harasta & Beit Jinn. What do you think? EkoGraf (talk) 15:57, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Makes sense. It looks the war is not to be over any time soon, so phases should be reasonably long. Regarding "rebel decline" - i'm not sure about rebel definition (foreign Jihadist groups are rebel? SDF are rebel?), so maybe some other title.GreyShark (dibra) 10:08, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Almost all of the content was copied from Israeli–Lebanese conflict and Iran–Israel proxy conflict, again without attribution. You have already received three warnings not to do this any more. If you're going to copy Wikipedia content, you are required by the terms of our license to provide attribution. This thing of attribution - you are right, though one small detail: im the creator and heaviest contributor of Iran-Israel proxy conflict article [1]. Basically most of the text in this topic area was written or edited by me, so im mostly moving my own text or writing similar proze to other pages (not all, but mostly). In any case, this is not my intention to harm Wikipedia and it hurts to be suspected of misconduct and vandalism and copyright violations. Probably every experienced editor can be blamed and persecuted for similiar actions - especially when employing bold editorial behaviour. I've created hundreds of articles and even my ideological foes do admire my work. I retire now. Maybe i would be back some time, but not in this Assyrian year. Cheers. Frankly I agree, the page had been named 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution until 2013, then a rename was made with small majority of editors to current title. You are welcome to propose rename back or to 1970 Syrian coup d'état. Surely the other discussion should have been closed, because every response it got said “we should move it, but a different name than the one suggested”, and not close the one trying to do exactly that (propose a better name). Seems like logic was skipped for closing the discussion that opened second. Do you agree that the one you closed should be reopened, and, if needed, the other discussion closed. I'm sure by now that the Iranian military involvement in Syria has become plain. Iran may be fundamentally opposed to Ba'athist philosophy in general, but the Syrian regime is the only other terrorist state in the region, and arguably the only other major player that is a dictatorship. Iran supports them out of fear of being completely isolated - the mullahs fear a military attack on them more than anything else, their personal loss of power. This is true that there is a strange ideology discrepancy between secular Syrian Ba'athism emphasizing national-socialism and the Iranian theological Islamic Shi'ite Republic, but there are many examples of collaborations of ideological enemies in the past - Islamic Republic supported Democratic Kurdish Iraqi rebels (KDP and PUK) during the Iran-Iraq War and notably supports the secular Palestinian socialist PFLP and the Muslim Brotherhood-related Hamas movement. Remarkably, even at ancient times the Persians have often employed Hellenic Greek hoplites as mercenaries - sometimes even fighting against their fellow Greek city states. I don't think the Iranian leadership are afraid of losing power, rather their concern should be long-term economy prospect of the Islamic Republic, which is not promising.GreyShark (dibra) 13:12, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

As far as I can tell the Second Afar insurgency is the rebel part of the conflict while the government bit has ended. I think putting the Eritrean–Ethiopian border conflict as an ongoing event is a bit misleading. You are correct, there seem to be a very structured article which defines war crimes. I will simply go over it and check whether all category:war crimes by country categories fit the definition.
