I was about to undo it myself, but that edit conflict stopped me from doing it. Now I have multiple people watching me, don't I? MᴇɢᴀGᴏᴀᴛ (talk) 18:14, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I was on the recent changes page surveying it for vandalism and I found what you saw on Lesely Visser. TheRealVisser claims that he/she was Lesely Visser. I wanted to communicate that wikipedians to not write biographies about themselves on Wikipedia and I wanted to show him/her a Wikipedia page on that topic. The edit went wrong (like numberjacks) and I abandoned communicating to the user. I do not claim that account, either. MegaGoat (talk) 20:00, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good Day to you GoatLordServant.
Thank you for the edit you made on the John Walton Secondary School page. That gave me an idea of how to further edit the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mama Walton (talk • contribs) 07:57, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there. I think you should please stop with edits like this. There are only a limited number of cases when you should be restoring warnings and this is not one of them. Although the IP has been a pain with their editing, they are right about this. I warned them about WP:ENGVAR and they removed the warning – they have a perfect right to do so, and we assume that removing a warning means that they have seen it. We do not need it to be there for ever. If you would like to read up on the rules for this I can supply some links. But even without doing so, I can promise you that I am 100% sure that you need to leave that page alone, please. Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 19:52, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't even notice the vandal on my userpage, I guess I wasn't looking at it often. It seems like he was trying to copy and paste stuff from it, as his page shows similarities to mine. Thanks! Le Panini(Talk tome?)17:56, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, gotta love using a proxy and being linked to who knows how many bad accounts! I've had it up on my userpage, my school uses a program named IBOSS which restricts the content you can access on the internets. It also acts as a proxy. How unfortunate I was linked to these accounts I never created, used, or knew about. Maybe I'll put together an unblock request or ping Oshwah. But first i'm going to look harder at the investigation. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs)12:38, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
wait wait wait, could this be a problem with my home IP? I wish getting unblocked for this kinda thing was as easy as "I am not affiliated with any of the usernames presented" Maybe if I stayed up at the middle of the night I could've given some input. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs)12:48, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. I am going to ping an arbcom member in the hopes that it could serve as an email or sorts... but here goes nothing, @CaptainEek:
I decided to call upon you because... of course you are an arbcom member, and you seem to dabble more in the blocking of users than the other arbcom member's contributions I have looked through. So in case you don't know what's going on here, everything you need to know from my defense to the reason I was blocked sits on my investigation page (go through its edit history too, if you feel you have the time) and on this talk page. I might have time to check my talk page tomorrow or the rest of this evening. Seeya! -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs)00:06, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Unblock Request
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.
So early this morning I was blocked for sockpuppetry. I have a loose explanation why I was not using any of these accounts.
First things first, either of the accounts presented in the sockpuppet investigation are in any way not related to me, perhaps with the exception of sharing the same wifi network.
Now somewhere around last year our school had gotten IBOSS installed on our chromebooks, a web restriction service and proxy. It sets everyone's IP to this IP and it got blocked last year for being a proxy. I was then autoblocked for a day, maybe a little more. I'm not sure. But everyone in the school has a chromebook, and there are a lot of people in the school.
Hey, I stopped by because this was in CAT:RFU. The explanation sounds pretty reasonable, my own kids have chromebooks via school - and have a similar setup.
@EvergreenFir and Oshwah: - From the SPI page, one of the reasons for needing a check to begin with given cites the interaction timeline as evidence.
Sigma's Tool shows no interaction involving GoatLordServant as well.
I've checked deleted contribs as well, and I'm not seeing any overlap there either.
The other provided reason for this being a DUCK is that GoatLordServant has edited PJ Masks - this does not appear to be the case. Nor do I see GoatLordServant working on userboxes for PJ Masks.
I'm not seeing any obvious evidence that GoatLordServant is related, beyond a shared IP and UA - with a plausible explanation for those having been provided. With that being said - I haven't dug terribly deep, other than running some checks, looking at recent contribs, and looking at deleted contribs.
@Oshwah: Thank you for the quick reply! I'd be interested in hearing from EvergreenFir first, as they requested the check / block, in case I missed something. SQLQuery me!03:34, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SQL: sounds reasonable to me as well. I'm rather convinced of the Awikiuserintheworld and OwletteFan23 connection, but that a shared IP caused the CU to link to another account seems likely enough. GoatLordServant, thank you for the explanation. EvergreenFir(talk)05:36, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I know I'm notable. That's why I need to be in control of my wikipedia page. I am the only non-cis woman to accomplish what I have. And you wouldn't disrespect Janet Mock or Laverne Cox so you won't disrespect me, since I taught them. Furthermore, another user told me my page could be deleted, so you can be quiet with the condescension. How do I delete my page? I don't feel comfortable with you privileged white men talking freely about the life of a dark-skin, non-cis woman then acting like more of an authority on my experience and life than me. Again. How do you make my account inactive? I read it's possible!13:48, 4 March 2021 (UTC)KOKUMOTheQueenOfQueerSoul (talk)

You are condescending and unhelpful! You can't say no one controls a page, then take down words from the person it was created for, thus and such practicing control in and of itself on a page that has nothing to do with you. I hate this website and the unemployed, lazy, entitled white men who think they run it. Do not address me again, young man. I'm rectifying this issue elsewhere.
No article is created for anyone, it is created to document them. Y'know... Like an encyclopedia? Still, nobody controls a page. Sure, they can edit things. They can remove text, add text, and so forth but in the end there could be an editor who would challenge those actions- as long as they have a good argument against the edits.
Hi, just wanted to thank you for clearing up what was said in an unrude fashion but my standpoint is they are valid edits and if they sound "promotional" which I do disagree with as what am I promoting? I am just stating things poorly as it seems, and the sources are coming straight from the company themselves. If they are worded so badly why not help me and re-write them rather than delete them outright without recognising the additions made. I've listed it on talk. Spooderman6920 (talk) 18:30, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Spooderman6920:, hello! I think that the listing of the individual Prime flavours were too detailed and intricate, and did not warrant inclusion in the article. In the vast majority of cases, Wikipedia does not list every promotional deal nor flavour-- especially without sourcing a source besides the company itself. AndyTheGrump added on the talkpage-- it's a bad idea to plug an article with what are essentially statements that 'this company is paying us to advertise their product'. These two undeniably promotional aspects of your additions definitely gave AndyTheGrump the impression that you were either associated with the company or trying to promote it. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)13:07, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay that makes sense it was just something I wanted to add more detail too as the flavours in the article are listed alphabetically rather than the original flavours then new ones if that makes sense, so just wanted to add more clarity to it is all but if that is too much then fine, thank you for being nice about it. I just thought showing the sponsors in the advert section the same as the arsenal sponsor was would be worth it as it does count as advertising in a way and I just thought the company Instagram would be a good source is all. Again thanks for being nice and not toxic like AndyTheGrump was :) Spooderman6920 (talk) 17:03, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Spooderman6920: AndyTheGrump is usually a nice established user around these parts; I didn't get the aggression torwards you. I'm glad I got to help, though! What might help you make additions to pages now is reading a little bit more about what reliable sources are, and what warrants inclusion on Wikipedia. Everyone starts somewhere, and once I was a very, very bad editor, but taking it slow, paying attention to the policies, and remembering to collaborate is what chisels an understanding of Wikipedia. If you have any questions, here, there are fellow editors at the Teahouse that can explain any questions you might have better than me. Seeyou!! ~GoatLordServant(Talk)18:00, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would also like to add that it is not advisible that you escalate conflicts in the manner that you did. Always comment on the content, even if the person you are talking to does not comment on the content, but on you in some manner or fashion. I don't think the conflict that has arisen here should come to be something incredibly disruptive or detrimental, but that is only if you remember to keep your cool under pressure. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)18:05, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but he started it. I don't believe that he is nice as you described him judging from his talk page and the way he treated me from the get go and yet he didn't receive any warning for it only me. If this really is a place about collaboration and fairness then he should get a talking too also for promoting conflict and being toxic to a newcomer. Regarding My UTRS 2 IP Block Exemption Request
@Yamla: hello! Earlier today at UTRS 2, I made a request that my account be handed IP block exemption so I could edit. Seen here, I have already had issues editing because of my circumstance. The situation I was previously placed in, of course, obviously regards my account being blocked directly. But previously, I had said that I cannot communicate nor reach out to any email since I simply do not have one. Making one is not an option for me as well.
I am now home as of writing. But, even when I connect to my own internet, the IBOSS proxy loaded on this device takes precedent. Each and every one of our school-issued chromebooks are loaded with IBOSS, a censoring and proxy service. I cannot manually change what IP I am in the range, nor can I use any other network while at school or elsewhere to circumvent this.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).
The process for requesting IPBE in this circumstance is laid out at WP:IPECPROXY.
As a sidenote, I unblocked you two and a half years ago in connection to this same circumstance (same IP as well, if I recall correctly). You've been able make a fair amount of edits since then. SQLQuery Me!23:02, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
How in the world is an autoblocked user without an email able to reach out to a checkuser? Even if my autoblock appears to be expired now, it was very inconvenient, and the instructions for this were unclear (and slow). Just... woof... the issue isn't even solved because this'll happen again. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)10:38, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just got autoblocked again. What am I supposed to do? I have tried UTRS, I have tried reaching out. I even submitted that unblock request, and this hasn't been resolved. What option does a user with no email have if all this didn't work? ~GoatLordServant(Talk)13:04, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SQL:"...Email the checkuser VRT team at [email protected] ensuring your email includes your username..."
This is not an option for me-- can't make an email without my guardian's permission. They have declined requests in the past.
"...or contact a CheckUser directly, explaining why you need to edit via anonymous proxies..."
I have attempted to contact Yamla in the very first message in this thread. That attempt was ignored, so, following the example of Fram, I finally submitted an unblock request to experience the same result. Obviously, I'm not reveling in the same privileges right now... so here's this!
Replying to your sidenote, my mention of the previous block was just to reestablish and seal my "I can't do email things" claim. Really just tired of dealing with the on and off autoblocks now. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)13:26, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
IP Autoblock Unblock Question
This request for help from administrators has been answered. If you need more help or have additional questions, please reapply the {{admin help}} template, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their own user talk page.
Hello! In the section above, I expressed repeatedly that I cannot use an email to attain IP autoblock exemption, and by proxy that I cannot contact a checkuser directly either. What can an autoblocked user do to get the IPBE right without an email or some other means off-site? I am autoblocked, and I have no access to anything besides this. (...And that's still been an on and off thing, sometimes it does not let me edit my own talkpage.)
Thank Bbb23, who has provided an excellent response. I know you're looking for quick and easy, and I can often be summoned in hasty circumstances, but for now I'm acknowledging this and will get to it some time soon. -- zzuuzz(talk)19:43, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No rush though, whatever you're up to, it's ok to slide this onto the bottom of the to-do list. I haven't forgotten what edits I would like to make if I get past this. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)21:41, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. The good news is that you appear to be unreasonably inconvenienced by IP blocks, and I've granted you block exemption. Here is a template with some details. This is initially set at one year, and can probably be renewed if you're still affected afterwards. It goes without saying, please be on your best behaviour. Also this is really designed to get around the problem you've described above - there is a separate concept of 'anonymising proxies', which I don't expect to see you using. I'll answer a couple of your other points. If you can't edit your talk page and you can't email, then you're probably stuck. There's not much anyone can do about that. If you can edit your talk page then you can probably ping a checkuser, or apply for unblock (speak to an admin), and one will probably be brought before you. If you can edit more broadly, and you're experiencing problems, then you can go to a checkuser's talk page. The trick, tbh, is knowing the right checkuser. It's not an ideal process, but that's how it often works. IP block exemption granted. -- zzuuzz(talk)12:30, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the explanations and help, zzuuzz. I'll resume my editing pattern as it was, and since this'll last me for about the rest of my school year, it'll be awhile before I seek IPBE renewal. That said, thank you so so much for the IPBE. Bbb23, thank you for the response as well.
The English language is known to use french words in formal writing. You wouldn't say we shouldn't say "laissez-faire" on Wikipedia, so why shouldn't we say "sans souci"? Look the phrase up, English speakers use it all the time. Maryonya (talk) 14:32, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Maryonya: Fair enough for me. I find the original text more widely understood by the audience that'll read it, that he is lazy-going rather than sans souci, but if you're confident in the change anyway, I'm out of thoughts against it. Go for it. ~GoatLordServant(Talk)14:36, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Vaggie
Since Vaggie redirects to Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel), could the page be moved from the latter to the former? Since there would be no reason for further disambiguation, like how there it is Charlie Morningstar instead of Charlie Morningstar (Hazbin Hotel)? Since there is no other Charlie Morningstar, and no other Vaggie, fictional character or otherwise? 199.127.61.137 (talk) 20:15, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for bringing this to light! I will move the Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel) article to Vaggie. If any other user has an issue with this, it will be brought to light. At the moment, my only concern with the article is its iffy sourcing. Regardless, it's in the mainspace and I'm choosing to take care of it. ~ GoatLordServant(Talk)00:02, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Vaggie. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.
Ok, basically to sum this up, the page history is divided between the former redirect and the new page. I don't disagree with moving the content, its just it could have been done a different way to avoid this error.
Historyday01 (talk) 13:45, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Historyday01: My mistake. I would have simply moved Vaggie (character) to Vaggie had I thought to do so, but instead, I moved Vaggie (Character) to Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel), and left Vaggie as a redirect. The oddity of this move seemed to drive 199.127.61.137 here to tell me that the inclusion of (Hazbin Hotel) at the end of the article title is unnecessary since the Vaggie title was already free. By than, I had already made Vaggie as a redirect, so when I attempted to move Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel) to Vaggie, it would not allow me to. So I instead resorted to the cut & paste move. Unfortunately, I did not know such was a wrongdoing, my apologies. ~ GoatLordServant(Talk)15:11, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok, that makes sense. It looks like the history merge is done now... At least this isn't as bad as the time last year when I had worked on a draft page and someone copied the same text into a published article, meaning there were two articles for the same series... eventually it was merged, but it was weird for a couple days. Hello GoatLordServant! The thread you created at the Teahouse, How to get eyes on an article?, has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days.
