Ghost Chow, User talk:Ng kok yuan

Hi. While I agree with you that this article is a problem (haven't yet read through it completely enough to figure out what's going on with it), I'm afraid that you are confusing the AfD process and the PROD process. While the note you have left the creator about removing AfD notices is quite right, any contributor - even the article's creator - can remove a PROD notice, and once a PROD is challenged, it cannot be restored (per Wikipedia:Proposed deletion: "If any person objects to the deletion (usually by removing the {{prod}} tag), the proposal is aborted and may not be re-proposed.").

I see that the last time this article was created (by somebody else), it was deleted as vandalism...I imagine as a hoax. I'll look into it further to see what seems appropriate at this point, but I just wanted to clarify the distinction between PROD and AfD handling. :)

Thanks for looking out for article quality! --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:18, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem on all respects. I've done some poking around and deleted it as vandalism on confirming that it's a blatant hoax, taking language from Lucifer. If I weren't so jet-lagged, I could have done this in a tenth of the time. :D Now I'm trying to figure out how I managed to lose Twinkle when the new version of Wikipedia was released. I've been getting used to it as inevitable, but I miss my Twinkle. :/ And I'm with you; none of us will ever figure out everything about Wikipedia. Good thing there are so many of us. :) I'm running to other people for help all the time. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:38, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've tried the chat thing, but I'm afraid it mostly confuses me. If I don't know how to ask, I run to WP:HD. :) Evidently, I had turned off Twinkle on myself when trying to enforce a wikibreak (to make sure nobody hacked into my account while I was out of town). I'm happy to have it back! I depend on it. I did notice all the bot communications on your page. :) At least its Signpost, good stuff. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:14, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
