@Darling: There are no request under your old username or current name, I'm not sure what happened to your request (I'm not very active in this area) I suggest you open a new request under you current username (of course). I'll have to get with other ACC Admins and see if we are accepting new users, ping me after your new request and I'll try to resolve this either way. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel)15:42, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
new request on the ACC interface or send in another email to the tool admins? I'm unable to send a request on the interface because of the original denial; the only thing I could do is send in another email, unless you're suggesting I make a new account on the interface, which I'm not sure I could do because this account is already linked to the other one through my old username. You removed actress Cassandra Peterson’s middle name from her Wikipedia page without explanation. Her middle name is Gay per her memoir, which is sourced. Please do not remove.

Notice of Dispute resolution noticeboard discussion
This message is being sent to let you know of a discussion at the Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding the edit dispute on the John de Lancie article. Since you may be busy and this minor editing dispute may not be a priority for you, I fully understand if you do not participate in this. The thread is "John de Lancie" .
Thanks, but you really should not be allergic to interlanguage links. The page {{Interlanguage link|Brad Cole|fr|Brad Cole (musicien)}} exists, might make someone want to translate it. This removes info on the WP and that is not ideal. @FlightTime:JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 15:49, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, does your Thank mean that something in the link I suggested actually worked, or are you just saying thank you for trying? If the former, could you say so on the ref desk with a {{resolved}}? Cheers, MinorProphet (talk) 17:10, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding your reversal here [1], I wasn't sure if the objection was just to my modifications [2] to the recent addition of LGBT [3], or if you objected to the LGBT addition overall. I don't intend to edit further on this count. Just a note to say that if you object to the addition as a whole, you would need to revert a little bit further. Cheers. signed, Willondon (talk) 20:08, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK, then. I wasn't comfortable with the recent addition of LGBT being added as a further description of the homosexuality dealt with, because the broader LGBT range of issues is a modern-day expansion of the homosexual issues that the show actually dealt with in the 70's. Not to say that the full LGBT community wasn't acknowledged back then, but the show dealt with the limited constituencies of homosexuals. I was more comfortable with including LGBT, because the show dealt with transvestitism, but not presented as an enhancement to homosexuality, which I think would be a retroactive expansion of topics the show actually dealt with. I wasn't sure whether you objected to the addition overall, or just my copyediting, and were happy with the original addition. These areas can definitely be a quagmire. We're probably both better off leaving it to see if any other editors have an insight. Thanks for the response. signed, Willondon (talk) 20:30, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could you kindly explain what you are objecting to in this edit?
Hello, I'm the editor you've been reverting and I too would appreciate an explanation. The material I've been attempting to add is reliably sourced and I'm unsure what your objection is because you won't tell me. Can you please respond? 156.57.11.183 (talk) 17:32, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Third party chiming in here... The stuff you want to add is excessive, unnecessary. Part of what makes a Wikipedia biography great is how accessible it is, with less fluff and more concision. Binksternet (talk) 19:40, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By my count you're the fourth party. I'm sure you know it doesn't work that way; you don't get to decide for all of us what constitutes excessive and/or unnecessary and what doesn't. One editors "fluff" is valuable information to another. Let's see what a proper discussion brings. There is clearly no consensus here to justify reverting. 156.57.11.183 (talk) 23:02, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Look, I'm not trying to be someone to decide what goes and what stays, hence my request for you to start a discussion. If you're going to keep on with this shit, stay away from my talk. - FlightTime (open channel)23:05, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the confusion with the edit on the page for Steve Clark--I had removed the section about him and Pete Willis not providing backing vocals because that was unsourced, as was the section on Phil Collen being the lead guitarist of Def Leppard (DL doesn't have lead or rhythm guitarists, as both guitarists alternate between lead and rhythm, as is mentioned on the page). Somehow, I forgot to include "Citation needed" in the description for my edit, though. When you re-added it, I was going to remove it and point out the lack of sources, but then you removed it again. So thanks and sorry about the confusion, I'll remember to include reasoning for my edits in the future! ~[thehappyspaceman] • talk • stalk • block23:09, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a renamer, but from what I've seen, even currently blocked accounts can generally be renamed (I think there are some narrow exceptions). I wouldn't go by me, though.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:14, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
British English articles
Hi, it may be as well to note that in British English articles, those where the subject (like Led Zeppelin) is unquestionably British, we use the Britishism of placing the definite article before noun phrases far more than American English does. Thus "the English rock band Led Zeppelin" is correct, and indeed essentially mandatory, in BE, even if it's not what people might say in AE. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 21:19, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hopping you can help with a link in my template. I'm trying to add a "Global rename" link to my user check template, I got it to display "the log, but couldn't get it to display my logs
@FlightTime theres a few ways to go about this, technically the 'rename' log here is the "local rename" log; the only place the actual global rename log exists is on the central wiki, metawiki. Do you just want the local rename log? — xaosfluxTalk23:27, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Besides some odd (and very old pre-SUL things) - the biggest difference is that the local rename log will not show a global rename of a user that isn't attached to enwiki. — xaosfluxTalk23:28, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Re: the Gibson EDS-1275 page, the Gear4music guitar is inspired by the Gibson but not directly related to it, just like the listed Ibanez/Harley Benton models. Why was my edit reverted, if those two weren't also removed? The Harley Benton model in particular sits in direct competition to the Gear4music one I added, as a budget modern reproduction of the EDS-1275. BraveDude8 (talk) 13:27, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Doing it that way would also make the '200' of Billboard 200 italics though. But just looking at it again and comparing it with other good album articles there probably don't need to be links to the different charts in that section anyway as they're already linked to in the main charts section next to it - overlinking and all that. Hello FlightTime, according to central auth, there is no global account for HëRe!. The user was blocked in 2022 for sockpuppetry and has an SPI case page. So, I am not in favor of a rename without consultation with the blocking admin, but I am just asking if there is anything I am missing. :) – DreamRimmer (talk) 14:46, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I realize I should have reached out instead of ignoring other editors.
I personally have strong opinions about pages I feel should be edited, and I am wanting to know if you are willing to work with me? I have no animosity, and would like things to cool down.
I also feel like, even when I have posted in the edit summary and cited sources in the past, my changes have been erased, so that led me to feel like engaging with other people on this site was not worth it. Not to excuse myself, but to explain where I was coming from.
I want to actually work with people, and see everything that needs to be cleared for a change I make to be accepted among most people on this site.
So I would like to make changes to, say, Pharrell Williams, to include his instrumentation and add genres that I feel he has made significant contributions to. What do I need to do beyond edit summary? What would you say would be agreeable? GabesLovesPortland (talk) 00:02, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If given the benefit of the doubt, I will no longer post unfree content such as images, and article sources, licensing and other careless acts from the past and adhere to it. Countrymaster (talk) 21:14, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You said I didn’t have reference for my change in the ‘Moving Pictures’ post.
I got an email from Terry Brown. That’s my source.
~~ Hello Vince - thank you for your e-mail, of course you are correct. It was one of the first albums to be mixed to a digital medium,
but was recorded on 48track analogue using a Studer A800 and locked to an Otari to create a slave.
If I remember correctly we mixed to a Sony PCM 1600 and since 1980 I have only mixed one album to an analogue tape machine :) ~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vrsound (talk • contribs) 01:06, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now I understand why Wiki is so full of errors. It doesn’t matter if what you referenced is wrong as long as you can verify it. Vrsound (talk) 16:29, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article you referenced doesn’t say they recorded that album 48 track digitally. It says 48 tracks, and digital. Two very different things. You combined the two in the Wikipedia article which is incorrect. The 24 track digital multitrack wasn’t even a product when they recorded ‘Moving Pictures’

Ok I did post on Kaufman's Talk page why we should change the Infobox img, I already did added some context why this picture could be freely used, I'm a bit new, so I'm sorry I didn't knew some pages needed discussion for changing inbofox images. Thanks!
