Have you read what I wrote above and as edit summary,as well as the article itself? The article's lede states that Rolling Stone listed them 50th on their list of all time artists, and there's an influence/legacy section that supports a very short summation at top, at great length. What I contributed was an exceedingly conservative summation. Finally, a non controversial assessment doesn't require sourcing in the lede. 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 03:06, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was told my edit was not allowed. I happen to be related to the person I was editing and he helped me craft the words correctly. I simply was unaware of the need to cite everything and don't have citations for each sentence. How do we resolve this?

Talk:Vocal Range Axl Rose
Thank you for the message! Axl's range was incorrect and unsourced on the Vocal music page. So I decided to correct and source it. You can google his range yourself, it is common knowledge that it is F1 - Bb6 (5 octaves and 5 semitones). I am a little confused that the source got not accepted. I first tried it with a Daily Mail article, and, then, because it got refused, I decided to use a source that is already used on Wikipedia. So I decided to choose the same source that is used for Mike Patton's vocal range. Edt: Please at least accept the order change that I made. It was pure chaos and I put it in alphabetical order. 193.81.43.55 (talk) 23:43, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your answer. Of course, you need to source things. I fully understand that. I just meant that you could see that you can trust the range I put there by checking it. I will look for another link. But I do have one question: Why is the same source okay for Mike Patton but not for Axl Rose?193.81.43.55 (talk) 01:01, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, although it's not much of an explanation: we simply don't have a speedy deletion criterion for orphaned free media files. This has been proposed on several occasions in the past, but failed to gain consensus each time. -FASTILY02:37, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Can you explain this edit? I don't see anything inappropriate in SFDoan127's contributions thus far - more detail in a plot summary than I personally would include, perhaps, but that certainly looks like a good-faith edit, and hardly worth a 'stop being disruptive or else you may be blocked without further notice' warning. DS (talk) 00:55, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You made a mistake on removing my edit. The edit I made was for the correction of a typo in the coding, which only corrected the inflation rate and the data remains unchanged. Please read the coding and the previous version before removing an edit. Thank you
Hey. Many thanks for reverting those edits to my user page. I've been meaning to send this for a while but never have: We got off to a bad start a long time ago but over the years I think it is safe to say we have moved on from that and have gained (at least from my side) a mutual respect for each others work here. Keep up the good work FlightTime and I look forward to many more years of collaboratively keeping articles in check! All the best. Robvanvee08:26, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not harassing anyone. What are you talking about? I made an edit provided a source and that editor threatened to not write on his page after the fact he told me to ask any questions I had. He told me to read the guidelines for associated acts I did that and he then flipped it on me telling me not to write on his page. Theres no other way to ask questions. I had no choice but to write on his page. If anything he should get a ban for that. Bryzzo1744 (talk) 08:40, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Bryzzo1744: Yes you are. Why are you putting comments on a user page? That's what talk pages are for and you were asked by Robvanvee to not post on his user page and what do you do ? you do it again right afterwards, that's user harassment or maybe it's WP:CIR. Go ahead and keep trolling and you'll most likely be blocked. Good luck. - FlightTime (open channel)08:46, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How am I trolling? The rules on here are like a prison I cant make an edit even with a source. That makes no sense. I wont on dudes page because he told me to ask questions. And suddenly its harassment. That doesn't make sense Bryzzo1744 (talk) 09:02, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well now this is very funny! Who are you to revert my edits? Are you the sole writer of the article on Bob Denver? Do you own rights to his page? Are you the head of the Wikipedia police force? Restore my edits immediately.
There is not a single entry in Denver's Television list that is sourced, so who are you to tell me I have to source anything? Wikipedia is a free, open site where people can contribute facts and information without fear of bullies and censors like you.
Hello. First, this is a collaborative project, no one is in charge and no one owns anything. Second, I checked that article before I reverted your edit and again just now and yes there is an episode 7 and it doesn't say anything about Denver being involved, now if Denver was listed I wouldn't have removed your edit. I have edited The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour because some of the "facts" there are incorrect. I'm not sure why the corrections have been deleted. The number of 1st run episodes is incorrect (it's 67), the running time of each original episode is 52 minutes, & The Sonny & Cher Show ran for 2 seasons, not just one. I verified my info with TV Guide Magazine (which I have ALL issues showing this), plus have DVDs of full episodes. Please tell me why my confirmed facts are deleted.
Is TV Guide Magazine not a reliable source? Through the years, I have noticed various info on Wikipedia to be incorrect and, at times, sources used was IMDb.com. I'm not sure who verifies the facts on these websites, but it is frustrating to see incorrect info labeled as correct. I'm not trying to be hard to get along with but do I need to put the weekly dates of each TV Guide with the 67 episodes on it? As far as The Sonny & Cher Show (1976/77), even IMDb.com shows it with 2 seasons & not just the one season that Wikipedia shows as verified, posted information. As a 63 year old, I see so much incorrect info listed as fact on various legit websites about various topics of history of my lifetime in the last 50 years or so. Glad my parents kept so much printed materials of the 1960's/1970's. I'm just trying to enhance & correct some of the mistakes that have been verified as factual. Please don't respond with me having to click & read; just let me know if TV Guide Magazine weekly issues from the 1970's is or is not an acceptable source. If not, then Wikipedia's information of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour is not completely correct.

As per the definitions at Music genre#Traditional and folk music, this artist, described as a singer-songwriter and with no mention of interpreting traditional material does not belong in this genre. I agree there is an inconsistency with the infobox, if so the solution is to remove the inappropriate genre from there too.
The awards on the Hobbit Accolades page for The Desolation of Smaug attributed to the Central Ohio Film Critics Association are incorrect. The COFCA never nominated the movie for any of those awards. Those are the awards from the Comic Vine 2013 Movie Awards.
Back in 2014, someone tried to delete the Comic Vine 2013 Movie Awards section, but instead only deleted the first column, and the awards were merged with COFCA, which was above them in the table.
"The Perfect Storm" was first released as "A Perfect Storm". I can't find any website confirming this but I distinctly remember being very excited to see the film and hating that they chose "A" instead of "The" for the title. Apparently they eventually changed their minds and agreed with me. This is well-remembered fact, whether I can find proof of it or not.

Hello, I've been editing Gloria Estefan's article in Spanish for a while now. The person https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Rodriguito_frocos is committing acts of vandalism in the English and Spanish versions of Gloria Estefan. His quote from the bcc says that he has sold 120 million, but this is against all wikipedia lists of best-selling artists, further considering that Estefan's certified sales are 45.7 million, this person has incurred to treat me badly verbally, among other things.
--Editor universal (talk) 02:38, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Editor universal: I checked the reference and they are placing correct information. The reference clearly states 120 million. So why are you hounding this ? If you think they're incorrect, then take it to the talk page, not here - FlightTime (open channel)02:44, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I also have a reference from the BBC that says that Julio Iglesias has sold 350 million, however, neither on the best-selling artists page nor in his article does it say that, it is so easy to take a reference and believe that this is real. You're welcome. Btw, you forgot to remove the rename media template from File:Pandora and the Flying Dutchman.jpg. (I've already removed it for you) This is another thing LuckyRename handles automatically. If there's any reason you prefer not to use LuckyRename, please let me know in case it's something I can improve. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 14:22, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed the box at the top of this page: This may mean extended periods between multi-edit actions, such as actioning file move requests and the removal of related templates The blue links are almost invisible against the black background for me. LuckyRename should work faster for you as it utilizes the mw:API to edit pages. (instead of loading complete pages with images and layout it exchanges only the essential information) If your connection fails in the middle of a move: if the file wasn't actually moved, just move it again. If the file was moved but replacement/template removal failed, go to the file page, open LuckyRename, press "Override" and press "Resolve redirects" to complete the move. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 14:37, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I get it, I am sometimes like that as well. Anyway, if there's any change I could make that would make you more comfortable to give it another try just let me know. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 16:20, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime:
Hello,
The publication Vettimes is the best known Veterinary paper in the UK. Once this publication reports about the laws in the Netherlands on the length of a pugs' snout I believe that this should qualify as sufficient. Any additional information can probably only be found in Dutch research papers. I think the reversal was wrong. Please discuss.
PS: my partner is a vet and I will spend this weekend with another 5 vets. I know what I am talking about, not through osmosis, but through discussions on the topic.
Also, the German Wikipedia page quotes exactly this without referring to a paper nor to the detail of wanting to see proof of research on the length of the snout of a pug. I hope that this is not an example of collating quantity of edits rather than quality of edits on Wikipedia.
@Bmc hit: No matter who they are, you made specific claims about the the length of their muzzle which is not mentioned or supported in the reference you provided. I'll let another (more experienced in this area) editor handle the issue. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel)16:01, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: Your reference to a more experienced editor means I should submit it again or will it be taken down by you? I just checked the article in Vettimes and it refers to a traffic light system of head measurement using red, orange and green classifications. I quote from the link I initially provided: "Red applies to dogs with a snout length shorter than a third of the skull, such as the pug, and English and French bulldogs. Breeding with these dogs is prohibited immediately." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bmc hit (talk • contribs) 09:51, August 31, 2021 (UTC)

you reverted an edit I did about the song Humming Bird by Seals and Crofts in which I left a link that said Harvey Brooks played bass on the tune. I'm not sure how you missed it but it is the second tune down in an article entitled 'Stories Behind the Songs: Harvey Brooks' at:
2. “Humming Bird” – by Seals and Crofts from Summer Breeze (1972)
What was this session like?
Louie Shelton flew me in from Woodstock NY at the request of Dash and Jimmy. I had recorded with them on their “Down Home” album so we had a natural comfort zone. I was the only East Coast guy in a room full of the West Coast’s top studio musicians. Very professional and satisfying session. Seals and Crofts are great band leaders and made it easy to play.
It's no worries if you want to keep the request open, I just think the normal practice is to close it while waiting on more input from other editors. That's why I didn't close it again. Don't be condescending. The two most well-known facts about Michael Cohen are that he is a disbarred lawyer and a convicted felon. Stating in the lead sentence that he is disbarred without also stating the predicate for his disbarment--i.e., that he was convicted of a violation of federal law--is a conspicuous omission. His conviction is mentioned later in the lede; this would only be curing the omission of an informative predicate to his disbarment. 2601:5C2:300:9270:5C6D:1CE8:8A:1A5A (talk) 01:38, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You reverted the fix and you are not communicating why. I think the proper conveyance of relevant information ought to include that the reason he was disbarred--namely, that he is a convicted felon, which is, again, one of the two things most notable about Michael Cohen. 2601:5C2:300:9270:5C6D:1CE8:8A:1A5A (talk) 01:44, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kid Rock
Kid Rock plays multiple instruments and DJs, so adding musician and DJ to occupations; sentence in lead on post-2007 genres is misleading; "he started his career as a rapper and DJ" is repetitive in the lead (and to be more accurate, he started his career as a DJ, then started rapping); in infobox genres section, "rap rock" is listed when he performed several other different genres of rock (hard rock, southern rock, country rock, heartland rock, rock and roll), not just rap rock. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 01:46, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
With respect; my edit about Cheap Trick was not my point of view, as you put it, it was based on the fact that Bun E Carlos was listed on that page as a "current member" and not in the "past members" section.
This is his entry on that page
Bun E. Carlos – drums, occasional backing vocals (1973–present)
As far as I am concerned those two things indicate that he continued to be a member after 2010, where his timeline ends and still is. His own Wikipedia entry has quotes relating to a 2013 lawsuit where a band member described him as part of the band but not a touring member.
So with respect I was not forcing any point of view on anyone, I was correcting what looked like a mistake with the initial creation or an edit of the timeline.

Exceeds 10% of the song's length as required by MOS:SAMPLE/WP:NFC#Audio clips. May be fixable in order to comply with WP:NFCC#3b. However, even then, sample may be still insufficiently supported by critical commentary and may fail WP:NFCC#8.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
To be clear it wasn't wrong to move it, but (as the deletion is unlikely to be disputed) probably not entirely necessary. Files that shadow another file prevent us from using the Commons file that is being shadowed, in this case the shadowed file is a copyvio which we shouldn't use anyway. My only real concern is that the deletion request could get confused or even rejected because the rationale now just links to the nominated image instead of the non-free image on WP. But that's Commons' problem I suppose. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 21:09, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi FlightTime, I deleted Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/2409:4073:209:81B1:4584:2287:8913:426C. Dynamic IPs being dynamic IPs isn't abusive. New accounts editing with dynamic IPs in that region of the world and forgetting to log in isn't abusive. Multiple people from the same country where English isn't the primary native language posting similar requests about a popular sports figure isn't abusive. We also don't have SPIs named after dynamic IPs. Basically, the page didn't meet any of the criteria for filing an SPI, so I went ahead and deleted it which is what I normally do for SPIs like this where the abuse alleged is a bunch of dynamic IPs and a new account or two. If GeneralNotability disagrees, he's free to undelete. TonyBallioni (talk) 02:40, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings. I was juuuust wondering, without going so far as to open an SPI or even attracting attention, that there might be a certain someone who's actively socking based on previous edit-warring sprees and very poor conduct within the past few weeks. It all looks quacky to me in terms of editing style, but filing an SPI myself might open me up to more diatribes and targeted articles, considering my previous interactions with them which were rather unpleasant; hence why I'm being cryptic. You must be kidding. I've never heard of a single Jacob who goes by "Jack". They instead go by their formal name or "Jake". Jack is far more often connected to "John", and sometimes "Jackson". Either way, can you name a single Thomas other than Black who goes by "Jack"? I highly doubt it. Your edit summary gave a false impression that "Jack" is a common nickname for "Thomas". I noticed that you reverted my edit on Can't Buy Me Love for not being properly cited. The edit was pretty meaningless, it was just switching an implied singular expression "a" to "two" scenes that the song was in the movie. This is factually correct — the A Hard Day's Night page lists the song twice on its page, once (which is the aforementioned first scene) and a reprise played towards the end of the movie.[reply]
Hey there FlightTime. FYI, I've seen you dealing with them some. (I'm sure you know who I mean - the one that adds gibberish and nonsense to Nickelback, Florida Georgia Line, etc articles. Feel free to report them to me and I'll block them every time. I was helping for a while, but other admin protected all the "bait" pages I was leaving unprotected so I could catch them block evading, so they kind of fell off my watchlist radar. But I'm happy to help block them whenever I see them. (And other admin watch my talk page too, so if I'm not around they may jump in too.)
You keep removing Glam metal and Glam punk from the template. Do we even need consensus or sources? I believe that someone simply forgot to add them. The fact that they're formed from Glam rock should make it obvious that they're subgenres of Rock music. 47.36.25.163 (talk) 02:58, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, I am new to wiki. I am a professor for sexual education. I do not know how this all works, but the article on cunnilingus is misleading and plays down the risks of STDs from it. It is also somewhat puzzlingly biased. I would like to help improve the article. Can you help me somehow?
I understand that. I was citing a Canadian Supreme Court ruling. Anyway, I will try to learn how wiki works. In the meantime, if you agree with my concerns, please feel free to take action, as you seem much more expert than me. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Naxos2000 (talk • contribs) 18:52, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. You deleted my content "Benatar's "Heartbreaker" is featured in the 2021 film Nobody, starring Bob Odenkirk and directed by Ilya Naishuller." yet you left intact content re: Benatar's in pop culture that is virtually identical: "[Benatar's] version of the song “We Belong” was featured in the 2006 comedy film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, starring Will Ferrell and directed by Adam McKay."
Sorry I didnt see the first discussion, I will stop, though I do recommend it being changed to nu metal for numerous reasons but that is your choice and I'm sorry for making it seem that I'm just changing it for no reason - CallMeGrunt CallMeGrunt (talk) 05:24, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop following and reverting my edits without explanation. First you reverted this one [3] with zero explanation and despite the fact that the edit was cited. Then you reverted this one [4] which appears to be the first edit you've ever made to the article. Surely you have better things to do. Thanks. 47.54.26.28 (talk) 03:12, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - maybe I'm missing something, but 109.156.7.139 looks like a constructive contributor to me? This one might disagree with, but the cited source mentions the 'three amigos' era, so it's not ridiculous. This is an obvious improvement, as is this (which is correcting a typo - Marquee is correct). I stopped looking at that point - maybe check a bit more carefully, IPs are human too and all that. Ah - that makes more sense. Yes, combining scripts with having the wrong tab open can be a recipe for disaster - I merged two entirely unconnected SPIs - both with long, complicated archives - earlier in the week in much the same way. Cheers GirthSummit (blether)17:19, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I cannot recall what change I made to the Don Knotts page. If you can advise--or tell me how to find out what I did--I will see if I can provide adequate citations. (Do know, however, that I would not just make something up and state it as a fact. If I didn't know it to be a fact, I would preface it with something like "There are some that believe...." Make sense? In any case, if you'll let me know, I will try to either fix it or let it stand as you have corrected it. THANK YOU!

You reverted an edit at Meat Loaf as unsourced. I also thought it was a vandal at first but looked up the quote added. If you look at the link above it seems it was accurate and sourced. Just the reference to it on the page is behind a paywall. ContentEditman (talk) 21:39, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:FlightTime I am sorry for not explaining why. I am new to wikipedia, but am a very active FANDOM editor. But anyway, on the first sentence where it marks him as OC, there are 2 references, and one is his biography, and the one i removed was something that i think was detailing Alex Lifeson's arrest, but could not be completely sure, as it led to a 404 message. it was not used anywhere else in the article, so it seemed best to remove as it served minimal purpose.
sincerely, Kermitisawesome (also the level of competence here is insane lol)

thanks for your help. we have very similar musical tastes. (and i may or may not be the only kid in my middle school who took the time to read Lord Of The Rings)
Hi, I'm puzzled by your claim that podcasts are not reliable sources. The podcast I reference in the Debbie Harry entry includes an original interview with Mike Stock, who was the producer of the single version of "In Love With Love". The information I cited is directly from his mouth. He can be heard recounting this cited information in the podcast, in his own voice. And might I also add, this information is in no way contested or even controversial. Please revert your deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CriticalWeightRange (talk • contribs) 08:17, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
