Thank you for improving articles in March! - Today we remember the 150th birthday of Max Reger, who saw the horrors of a world war right when it began in 1914, while others were still in high patriotic moods -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:36, 19 March 2023 (UTC) sharing impressions from vacation on Madeira 20-30 March, pics now at 24 Mar from the peaks --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:07, 31 March 2023 (UTC) North Korea Quarterly. April songs
Thank you for improving articles in April! - Today is the 80th birthday of John Eliot Gardiner. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:16, 20 April 2023 (UTC) Possible FIN WP article in need of translation?Hi, Finn! Long time no see! I know that sometimes you are willing to translate non-English Wikipedia articles and change a red link to blue. I thought I might suggest one to you: Mikael Lybeck, an important poet, novelist, and playwright who at one point was considered the 'sole representative of Swedish literature in Finland' (after the death of K. A. Tavaststjerna ) ... anyway, I'm currently working on Ödlan, which was Lybeck's first play and one to which Sibelius contributed incidental music. Sure the music is obscure and the play only had one production (with a mere six performances), but Lybeck's importance seems to extend far beyond this one work. Thanks for considering! ~ Silence of Järvenpää 18:00, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
May thanks
Thank you for improving articles in May. - I had a good story on coronation day: the Te Deum we sang that day. And the following day we sang it for the composer ;) I nominated Soňa Červená for GA just to give her a bit more exposure, and I took some pics of bright scenery - click on songs. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:18, 20 May 2023 (UTC) Pentecost was full of music, and my story today is that 300 years ago today, Bach became Thomaskantor, with BWV 75, writing music history. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:52, 30 May 2023 (UTC) June thanks

I began the article of the woman in green. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:44, 25 July 2023 (UTC) August thanks

Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add Replaceable non-free use File:China Zhi Gong Party logo.png![]() Thanks for uploading File:China Zhi Gong Party logo.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject). If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details.
