Sunday January 14: Wikipedia Day NYC 2018

Part of Wikipedia's global 17th birthday celebration, Wikipedia Day NYC 2018 at Ace Hotel will include a mini-conference of scheduled panels as well as unconference style talks and discussions proposed by attendees on the day of the event. We are very excited to announce speakers such as Jason Scott (Internet Archive), Jackie Koerner (Visiting Scholar, Wiki Ed), and Andrew Lih (Wikimedia DC), as well as a fantastic line-up of panels that highlight projects and issues of relevance to the Wikimedia NYC community. See Wikipedia Day NYC 2018 speakers + schedule And there will be cake. We also hope for the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. Hi Professor, I did some edit in article Management information system and here is the record of edit history https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Management_information_system&type=revision&diff=826622817&oldid=825407102. The first change is avoiding the word "may" gives an assurance that the author is confident of whatever he or she is writing. Another change was to rectify the second sentence in the second paragraph. It was not necessary to use the words "specifically". The third change was to the management section. To avoid repetitive words, I wrote the first sentence as follows "There are different areas of concentration with varying duties and responsibilities in information system managers. Hi professor, I only rectified the grammar in the second sentence of the first paragraph, another change was second sentence in the second paragraph. The third change was to the management section, I wrote the first sentence as follows "There are different areas of concentration with varying duties and responsibilities in information system...". Hi Professor, I did some changes in this article Health technology. I inserted one citation in this article, the doi is 10.1177/102490790200900410. The article does not discuss in details the negative impacts that are associated with medical technology. Although the article states that medical technology can have ethical and social impacts on health care, it does not discuss the impacts in details. It needs to pinpoint the exact social and ethical issues related to technology. It is important to discuss or highlight a few examples of social and ethical impacts that technology may impose on health care. This looks like it could be pretty helpful! I showed this to Ian as well and we have a few notes - you want to avoid quotation marks unless you're using a direct quote. Also, some of the nitty gritty with the coding for this will likely have to take place in source mode, as some things like signatures don't show up properly in VisualEditor. The Template WikiProject would be a good place to check out on that end, as I'm not as familiar with that end and this would likely fall under their banner since the welcome message does serve as a template of sorts to some extent.
