NYC Meetup: You are invited!
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, finalize and approve bylaws, interact with representatives from the Software Freedom Law Center, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the June meeting's minutes and the September meeting's minutes). We'll also review our recent Wikis Take Manhattan event, and make preparations for our exciting successor Wikipedia Loves Art! bonanza, being planned with the Brooklyn Museum for February. In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes. You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list. To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our mailing list. Age categoryMatel Tov Elipongo, I just reverted your age tag in the Kurt Kaiser article. I realize it was a well meant addition, and to be honest, it's pretty neat. However, my understanding of WP:BLP (which could be wrong) is essentially, if I don't have an article that doesn't backup what I'm saying about a living person, it can't be in the article, and that includes extrapolating their age based on a birth date (with year included). Like I said, I may be wrong on this, and if you think I am, feel free to tell me. In the mean time, I've reverted that tag and category from the article. Toda Raba! KoshVorlon > rm -r WP:F.U.R 21:37, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Because I'm not overly familiar with WP:BLP I usually err to the side of caution with that. If you think your read of policy is correct, by all means, start a discussion, if consensus favors your side, then by all means, I'll keep my hands off that template. Thank you KoshVorlon > rm -r WP:F.U.R 14:28, 28 November 2008 (UTC) Template UPDATEJust a quick update, I self-reverted that age template. It's back in. Long story short, it's not OR like I claimed it was. (Just me not being familiar enough with OR! ) Sorry! — Kosh Jumpgate 21:30, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Best wishes for this holiday season and the coming year![]() Ecoleetage (talk) wishes you peace! You're invited!

February bonanza (on Flickr, on Facebook) with Shelley from the Brooklyn Museum and Alex from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Please list on the meetup page whether or not you can go. Also please contribute ideas for topics and dates! Hope to see you there! Professional Fraternities and SororitiesHello. I wish to discuss with you Title IX as it applies to prof fraternities and sororities. I have been researching this subject for quite some time and have been in contact with the Dept. of Education and the Office of Civil Rights. Both offices have clearly stated that Title IX does not apply to the groups at a university. That is clearly stated in the Title IX legislature. This is a very interesting topic, and I would love to establish a dialogue with you. Thank you. IlliniFlag (talk) 20:40, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Sorry. I'm new to Wikipedia and though I was on the right person to talk to. Thanks. The link I've added is this one. I Hope you don't mind... Apollo 11 liftoff from launch tower camera![]() Remember you nominated this in October 2008 but it failed because of quality? There's a much better version (shot slightly earlier in the launch sequence) from the NASA image library (here) in Commons now, so I have re-started the nomination using the new image with your original wording. The nomination page is Apollo 11 liftoff from launch tower camera (second nomination) if you would like to take a look. - Pointillist (talk) 12:45, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
