(Responding here to help keep the WOT down on the NORN board)
It is quite an astonishing revelation what you said over at NORN considering the interactions I've had with them, not to mention a look at their talk page, does not seem to suggest someone who knows how to be reasonable. Especially considering that of the 10 SPI reports they filed, only 3 (of the users they reported) have been confirmed as socks, that is a very poor SPI-radar and hence bad faith that they present those they disagree with as socks. In this case, it was so obvious to the SPI closer, that not only did they close with a statement regarding This is an abuse of process[1] but they further took to bring it up on their talk page top admonish them, which is quite rare.[2] This is the third time they've been called out for filing SPIs improperly during a dispute.
This is an abuse of process
Regarding "nobody involved agrees with you", let me be clear on the reason for that statement -- they have, at various venues, on multiple instances, asserted that Moxy, Grayfell and/or myself agree with them. This is why such a blunt assertion was required. It's not that that they couldn't possibly be correct in this matter, but rather "nobody INVOLVED in this discussion has ever agreed their White Mexicans calculations".
Regarding WP:BANNING -- you will be extremely hard-pressed to support that bold claim. I am pretty sure what you'll find is the following statements from me:
I would support an escalation
an administrator or clerk review and handle as appropriate
Where in there suggests I support such a strong sanction as banning, or any sanction whatsoever, other than an admin should become involved in this dispute?
While I believe you are well-meaning, I feel like you are very much uninformed on the specific infractions by this editor. When someone makes false claims about your positions within discussions boards, hijacks conversations with administrators which didn't mention them, files a false SPI report (with a history of bad SPI reporting), continues to introduce contentious information into article mainspace during an ongoing noticeboard discussion on that specific piece of information -- and all the while not calling for any specific sanction or ban... I don't think my response is anywhere as egregious as you claim. I would challenge you to review their SPI report to my ANI report and see who is being more reasonable, presuming good faith and following policy. TiggerJay (talk) 00:42, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

@Dhtwiki, this is Augnablik with a very weird problem. I tried to join the Guild today, following the directions carefully, but despite many tries — after which I tried to delete what had been appearing for me, which I could never get to be correct — I've now thrown off the way the table should look so that the information for the editor who last joined now appears out of place.
I'm going to post this message to one other Guild editor too so that someone can get on this without further delay. Then I'll follow up here with a 2nd message to explain what was going on for me, as well as what I was trying to post. Augnablik (talk) 08:27, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
@Dhtwiki, I hope I won't wear out my welcome as a GOCE member for only two days, but I need to mention that — as often happens to us copy editor types when we read an article simply for information and come to notice a few little gremlins — I found a few things in a GOCE article today <https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AWikiProject_Guild_of_Copy_Editors%2FBacklog_elimination_drives%2FMarch_2025&action=edit&wvprov=sticky-header>.
Most of what I found was minor, like formatting inconsistency of initial capitalization (Request page vs. talk page and main drive page). But there is a code issue at one place in the article to which I'd like to call someone's attention. I'm not sure if it was there before I worked on the article or if I deleted a character in the code, for to be honest that happened a few times as I edited. When I noticed what had happened, though, I went back and re-checked the whole article in both the Source and Visual editors, and it looked to me that everything was fine except in this one sentence: "If you have any questions, leave a message on the drive's Talk page" — right above the "Full instructions, tips, and awards" section. Talk page is in red. I just can't find the problem when I look at the code. I hope all the other small gremlins I got rid of for you will outweigh this one, if I'm the culprit.
By the way, Dhtwiki, is there a place to ask for specific help within GOCE, as contrasted to the more general Teahouse, Help Desk, and Village Pump? Augnablik (talk) 16:29, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

Hi, my name's Atul. I work as Deputy Marketing Manager at Oben Electric. I noticed that Oben Electric is nowhere mentioned in the Wikipedia. We are based out of Bangalore and our stores are located more than 30 cities in India. But still, we are nowhere in Wikipedia while our competitors like Ola Electric & Ather have a lot of mentions. I saw that you have written a lot of articles on Wikipedia, by any chance would you be open to helping us?
Thanks, Atul 49.249.95.222 (talk) 11:35, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
Hi. I just wanna ask if this reads fine (If not I am wondering if you can copy edit it) "Despite writing that the shape contributes to its popularity, Abel finds this insufficient to explain the universality of the emoji's popularity. Instead, he proposes that people use the emoji as a way to engage with the act of defecation, evidencing this with the fact that toilets are frequently where phones are used. Abel takes this fact as an opportunity to engage in social commentary. First, he notes that because phones are frequently used on toilets, some evidence suggests that they are often contaminated with fecal matter and harmful bacteria, permitting "poo on phones" to have a dual meaning of physical feces and the poop emoji. From this, he suggests that the poop emoji may be popular as it simultaneously signifies media being consumed (phone use on the toilet) as it signifies the harms of its consumption (seen through the fecal contamination resultant from phone use)". Many thanks. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 10:16, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
What could explain the emoji's popularity beyond its culture of origination? I suggest that it is likely a kind of ‘reverse mimesis’: The remediation of the ‘poop mark’ into digital environments betrays a truth some of us might rather not admit but that Katy Perry is happy to concede: globally, a primary site of cell phone use is the toilet. What do we make out of this fertile mess? The poop character in our phones helps us to engage with our actual world, not simply to represent a universal condition; rather, it helps us to think about the poop on our phones. Emoji eloquently reaffi rms the toilet not just as a site of texting but also as a site of reading. The pile of poo suggests something we probably already know about our new media—too many of us are spending far too long on the toilet with our new media gadgets. According to one study, as many as one-sixth of all cell phones today are covered with fecal matter and dangerous bacteria such as E. coli (see Song 2011 ). This reversal of mimesis might show us the true reason why the poop emoji is so popular globally, which is to say that the ‘poop’ emoji is both a sign of our contemporary media consumption and a manifestation of its waste.
GoldRomean nominated you for the GOCE Hall of Fame, which is well deserved and long overdue; I thought you were in there already! Your election is unanimous among the guild's warm bodies (past and present), so congratulations! All the best, Miniapolis 17:56, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
I noticed that you reverted my edit on WP:GOCE. I'll try not to do that in the future, and thanks for explaining in the edit summary. Tactical Falcon (talk) 01:33, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Hi, Dhtwiki ... I was just rummaging around at the main GOCE page and when I dragged my cursor over the Current or next blitz section of the tabs, I noticed that the information was still showing for May rather than for July:
"This Copy Editing Backlog Elimination Drive was a one-month-long effort of the Guild of Copy Editors to reduce the backlog of articles that require copy editing: those carrying the tag (also , , , , and their redirects) and those listed on the GOCE Requests page. It began on 1 May 2025, 00:00 (UTC) and ended on 31 May 2025, 23:59 (UTC)." Augnablik (talk) 05:19, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
