In this instance if I were to review the article, I'd decline it as well. If the article is created in the mainspace directly, I'd probably wait a few days and if there're no more improvements, I'd move it to draftspace. Well you're right. Initially, I decided not to waste time on this film, but now I was bored so made it as a draft and put through AfC even though it wasn't notable as I was still hopeful maybe there are more sources somewhere (didn't expect AfC process to be this fast -- it was slow in the past). When I have enough sources, obviously I make it as an article. I understand that AfC for poorly sourced films is a waste of time but some editors have preconceived notions such as that viggy.com is unreliable at Draft:Y2K (2004 film) while some editors at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annavru (2003 film) claim viggy to be okay. @Kailash29792: DareshMohan (talk) 16:26, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

If you notice many such Kannada film don't get many reviews. Some in the past even get a single review by The Times of India by Sunayana Suresh. But, note that 2 reviews is not a necessary criteria when there are enough production sources. @Manick22: Non-Indian users are against The Times of India sources for their bias (or maybe லஞ்சம்) and even notable film The Family Star remained as a draft despite release due to this [11]. First things first, Wikipedia pages have to have a neutral tone and is not a resume. The main reason for the removal is that your version had a bunch of fake songs that the said person did not officially sing so they had to be removed [12]. The sad part is that is Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. You have to put a message on your user page of any people you meet in person and have talked to in real life. Not sure why you want to meet him when the songs list is available through a simple Google search [13]. I didn't add the songs of films without Wikipedia pages but you can add them. @Hamwal: It's not that I don't believe you. It's just that it was unsourced and the fact that it was a dubbed/reshot film makes it less important. It's not in the Zamin Ryot review either. I tried adding the Telugu names to Kuruthipunal (film) but had to put it in comments since it was unsourced. I look up to Kailash for following Wikipedia rules in regards to reliable sourcing. @DareshMohan:, Please watch the Tamil version of David in Netflix and I have found the Hindi version of the film in dailymotion, if you do not have Netflix subscription then please watch the Tamil version of the film in the dailymotion (besides the Hindi version the dailymotion has the Tamil version of the film); after watching you shall be able to understand that the two films have major differences, not only Jiiva replaces Vinay Virmani, some other actors are also different, Vikram's voice and Nassar's voice in the Tamil version is real (definitely real, trust me), in the Hindi version Nassar's voice is not real, his voice was dubbed by other man.

David Tamil version (full) in dailymotion, David Hindi version part 1 in dailymotion, David Hindi version part 2 in dailymotion, David Hindi version part 3 in dailymotion, David Hindi version part 4 (last part) in dailymotion - watch these videos. @Hamwal: Dubbing for yourself doesn't mean they reshot. I know that all of Jiiva's segments and other actors that were in his segment were reshot. I just wanted to highlight the fact that they dubbed Vikram's version. Only other difference in cast is Sunder Ramu and a few unknown actors, rest are same. I have merged both Tamil and Hindi articles back to one form. Hamwal very crudely attempted to separate the two, resulting in the Tamil article resembling an older, half baked version. @Hey man im josh hello, and hello again, DareshMohan.... I was just passing on DareshMohan's TP to leave a Barnstar and I see this. The subject will very likely never meet WP:NALBUM and for a perfectly good reason.....because it's a film. Consider having a second look, please. On a more general note, the fact that so many articles are declined by various reviewers with boilerplate messages is terribly ....how can I put it mildly? ...sad and demoralising! Generic reasons, not even the slightest effort to be specific, seem to be the rule. It gives the impression that some reviewers barely have a look at the page. Maybe you did and maybe they do but that's not the feeling I get when I read their short and dismissive comments, to be perfectly honest with you.Thank you. I saw your message about requesting to create an article about him. However, it seems that although he has acted in many films, his roles are mostly confined to small roles. Ellam Avan Seyal, Maayi, Kalakalappu, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran and Pirivom Santhippom are the only few films, where Bava Lakshmanan gave noteworthy performances where there had been scope for his screen presence unlike any other films where he was cast only in minor roles. I have seen films mentioned above where I realised his acting potential was utilised unlike in any other of his films where his acting potential was wasted by filmmakers. His role in Pirivom Santhippom is a fun ride , where he apparently listens to some Tamil proficiency of M. S. Bhaskar who is passionately talking about some Sanga Kalam literature works such as poems on Irattaipulavar and the Tiruppukal, only for Bava Lakshmanan to spoil the mood of Bhaskar by asking him about real life scenarios which Bhaskar didn't have an answer to (like the scene where Bava Lakshmanan asks him to identify what was the type of rice he had in his hand).

Unfortunately, he has not had the scope of acting in the big mass hero films where he had been cast as a supporting actor. In the films which I mentioned above, none of the films had that star image or the brand where Bava literally had more screen presence and his acting potential was utilised well. In the mass hero films where he was cast, he was limited to minor roles without much scope for his acting. I can refer this situation with Geetha Kailasam who has only started making her presence felt in film industry by taking up supporting roles after serving in the industry as a full time producer for a longer time. I saw her acting in Amaran, where she was given a valuable role as Sivakarthikeyan's mother and she did a top notch performance. In fact, people recognize her more compared to the likes of Bava Lakshmanan whereas I don't think he had ever got to play the father of a lead actor in any of the films from my experience. This is despite Bava Lakshmanan being in the film industry since the early 90s and he has acted in more films than Geetha Kailasam. Furthermore, Bava's contemporaries such as Charle, Mayilsamy, Ilavarasu, Manivannan, Karunas, Thambi Ramaiah have played father roles to lead actors whereas I can't remember anything whether Bava Lakshmanan has done such role before.

In fact, it is baffling and surprising there aren't many sources about Bava Lakshmanan despite being in the industry for 30 odd years whereas there is actually significant coverage for Geetha Kailasam despite having done only around 15 or 20 films iirc. To make things worse, it is that toe removal surgery Bava had apparently underwent that got more clicks and sources and if not for that toe removal, maybe there would not be even such sources existing at all. Despite the lack of significant references, I managed to compile an article about him from the scratch, but it has technical flaws since I tried a different approach by adding prominent dialogue references and punch dialgoues used by Bava in his movies. In fact, I can relate the case of Bava Lakshmanan to that of prominent Zimbabwe fast bowler Henry Olonga as he got more attention and reach for his bold stance against Robert Mugabe denouncing his atrocities by wearing black arm bands during the 2003 Cricket World Cup, although he was a good decent bowler in his career who even once troubled Sachin Tendulkar in an ODI. Or this is a case of the infamous Karun Nair type treatment, (Bava could have faced in the industry as he himself claimed one incident where he was forced to drink in order to get more acting opportunities as it was the norm in Kollywood) despite having racked up a fabulous triple century in test cricket in 2016 against England, Nair was unceremoniously sacked from the Indian cricket team and has never returned to his prime best.
