Can you explain why your recent edits on this article don't violate the three revert rule. I see disagreement over some figures; where are these figures sourced? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:40, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Because the other user was vandalizing the page and adding false information, I was just reverting his edits and he kept vandalizing. These figures are sourced at the National Hurricane Center website (www.nhc.noaa.gov), you can see them for yourself. CycloneYoris (talk) 09:48, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Are you sure he was vandalising, or simply either making a good-faith mistake, or possibly even correcting the article? The edit in question changed the category of the storm from 4 to 5; none of these claims have an in-line citation, so I am not convinced your claim of "vandalising" holds water. I'm not a subject expert, so just pointing me at the NOAA website is unhelpful, say exactly where the information is and how this claim can be verified, so I can fact-check it. Otherwise, I think this is a straightforward content dispute, and since neither of you are discussing, by rights you could be blocked for violating 3RR. Maybe we should ask Michael Fish (off topic, I get increasingly fed up of people who don't remember the '87 storm because "they weren't born" - bah...) Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:54, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
This is not a content dispute, this user was clearly adding false information to the article, you can search through the page history and also check the article about this storm: Hurricane Hector (2018) and see what Hector's true intensity is which is a Category 4 hurricane and did not intensify into a Category 5. I have absolutely no reason to lie and if the hurricane were a Category 5 I would not be disputing with other users about its intensity. CycloneYoris (talk) 10:06, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Hector never was a category 5. The advisory archives for the National Hurricane Center may be found here and the advisory archives for the Central Pacific Hurricane Center may be found here. I would also like to note that the user changed the winds and pressure of Hector to that of Walaka's peak intensity which was achieved 9 hours ago. FigfiresSend me a message! 10:14, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Okay, well I added a couple of {{fact}} tags to the content under dispute; if somebody who knows more about this topic than I do can add the citations in the right place, that would be great. In future, if somebody is making changes to unsourced content that you know is wrong and that you can prove is wrong, add the source to the article when you revert. Then when an admin like me (who is the least informed about the topic in question) pops in to see what's going on, we can make an appropriate decision on what to do. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:30, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice, I’ll try to provide the correct sources next time if something like that happens again. CycloneYoris (talk) 10:49, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Hurricane Rosa

Would appreciate it if you could help with expanding Hurricane Rosa (2018). Rosa is now a deadly storm... killed at least 1 person. FigfiresSend me a message! 03:18, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Got it, I'll search on the web and see what I can find. CycloneYoris (talk) 05:07, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks... is now the deadliest storm of the season as it has killed at least 13 people. FigfiresSend me a message! 15:52, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Wasn’t expecting so much damage from that storm, I’ll see if I can find something else to add. CycloneYoris (talk) 18:41, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

NHC conventions?

I think you undid an edit I made because I "didn't follow NHC conventions". However, the data is right from the site, and it would be a pain to use something else than {{Convert}}. Hdjensofjfnen (If you want to trout me, go ahead!) 19:00, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

But if you use {{Convert}} then it automatically changes the data that the NHC has on their site, (i.e. 40 knots = 46 mph) while the NHC has it at 45 mph. I know it can be tiring to edit it manually, but I don't think there's another way to do it. CycloneYoris talk! 19:39, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
Oh, I see. It might be useful to use it for pressures, though. Hdjensofjfnen (If you want to trout me, go ahead!) 00:25, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe. If it proves to be useful, then I don't see any problem with it. CycloneYoris talk! 01:56, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Eurovision Song Contest 2019

Hi, I’ve added several extra sources about the ticket prices concerning the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Also, I’ve found sources that are talking about a temporary stop on ticket sales because of irregularities. Could/would you perhaps back me up in this topic? You can find the discussion here: Talk:Eurovision_Song_Contest_2019#Ticket_prices. Whatever you decide, it is much appreciated. Kind regards,「Robster1983」 Life's short, talk fast 13:31, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Yeah, I've also heard about the ticket prices being quite expensive, and I tried to rewrite the section that you added but it was removed. I do agree it should be mentioned, since it's an issue that affects the contest. I'll see what I can do though. :) CycloneYoris talk! 16:28, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
It seems everything is OK now. Many thanks for your input, it is much appreciated! 🙂 「Robster1983」 Life's short, talk fast 19:41, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
