Hello, DBrown SPS. Sure. First, you need to install the WP:XfDcloser gadget for performing the close. There you will find instructions on how to install it. The closing buttons will appear at the top of every nomination, and it's quite easy to use. However, please be mindful that some closes are considered controversial (see: WP:NACPIT), so please be careful. I therefore suggest reading WP:NAC and WP:BADNAC for guidance on how to close a discussion properly. You can also use this tool for relisting discussions and for withdrawing your own nominations. Hi, per Special:Diff/1288891756 a short while ago, the nominator hasn't been declared a sockpuppet/master, as the SPI is ongoing and it seems uncertain about whether they are a sock or not. They are now (subsequent to nominating) blocked through other reasons, but I don't think this permits a speedy keep close, necessarily. Bungle ^{(talk • contribs)} 07:57, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

@Bungle: it seems uncertain about whether they are a sock or not. Their userpage says otherwise, and they were already blocked as a sock by The Bushranger. However, if it is determined at the SPI that they weren't socking then the RfD can be reopened. But, in my opinion, it would be best to leave it closed (at least for now). I think my main point was just asking you to be mindful before jumping in too early, especially when a decision which formed the basis for your close wasn't even yet reached. It makes no difference to me personally whether the RfD is open or closed, though the speedy close in the circumstances may not have been procedurally right. It should be noted that while WP:G5 doesn't apply here, it's overall spirit is probably relevant - even if TzarN64 had been socking (which apparently the socking was a Joe job it turns out), an editor who is not currently blocked for socking doesn't have the "revert/delete on sight" status applied to them. It was created before the block, therefore "they were socking" isn't a reason to speedy delete/speedy close. - The Bushranger _{One ping only} 21:37, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
