How do April Fools days edits count as vandalism? I didn't do it in the article or talk namespaces.
Have a read of WP:FOOLS, before making an April Fools joke. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 15:34, 1 April 2020 (UTC) April 2020
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Someone's just been blocked for making virus-related April Fools' stuff. You want to reconsider your post (and your userr page for that matter). Cheers, ——SN54129 16:28, 1 April 2020 (UTC) It's an April Fools day edit, stop being so serious.
There are people using April Fools Day as an excuse to get Donald Trump deleted, suggesting the movement of a global event to another wiki is nothing compared to trying to delete the page of a living US president.

Perhaps we have not been clear enoughStop ****** around in article space (e.g. Terraria) or you will be blocked. I do not care if this was a mistake, you've created a lot of disruption today, so mistakes will no longer be forgiven. This is not a playground. Is that clear enough? --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:19, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
OK OK, Make me leave Wikipedia if you want, it's my first April Fools on here and I don't know the rules perfectly.
April 2020![]() You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for April Fools disruption, AN consensus was for indef if it continued. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} . TonyBallioni (talk) 18:48, 1 April 2020 (UTC)![]() Computerfan0 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I completely understand what I did could be considered vandalism, and I have added work to keeping Wikipedia clean. However, I have no memory of seeing rules telling me not to edit the recent events or village pump section, and I definitely saw nothing telling me not to mess around with anything to do with the coronavirus. Also, I feel that going straight to an indefinite block was a bit much. I have made constructive edits in the past, and today I created a page on the R181 road in Ireland. Also, me not putting the AfD in the April Fools section was a genuine mistake. I do realise that you don't want me ruining your April Fools day, but I didn't intend on ruining it on you. Computerfan0 (talk) 19:08, 1 April 2020 (UTC) Decline reason: Your inability to understand sanctions, restrictions and community guidance is not an excuse for your behaviour. I also see no issues at all with an indefinite block, you have admitted to having significant and highly worrisome gaps in your knowledge when it comes to policies and guidelines, therefore it does not seem prudent to unblock you at this time. Nick (talk) 19:24, 1 April 2020 (UTC) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked. ![]() Computerfan0 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I have read through the April Fool's Day policy (as my posts were April Fool's posts) and I found that although I have broken the Rules for Fools by creating a joke article and putting an AfD on a good article, these are the only violations of said poilicy. I edited the Current Events portal, placing the event of Wikipedia getting destroyed as there is nothing in said policy that says I can't edit portals. I also put a joke suggestion in the village pump as April Fools jokes are allowed in the Wikipedia namespace. My user page also got reverted, with the only reason given being "inappropriate contend". I thought Wikipedia wasn't censored? I understand that the "African Eelaphant" article was breaking the rules. But my AfD on the Terraria page, although breaking the rules, was a genuine accident as I meant to place it in the April Fools section. I do however understand the reasons behind my block as all of the above could appear as vandalism. However, they were marked as April Fool's jokes with the template and were in good spirit. Computerfan0 (talk) 09:46, 2 April 2020 (UTC) Decline reason: Try again. WP:GAB can help you understand how to accept responsibility and come up with a reasonable unblock request. Computerfan0, if you make another unblock request, please address this: now that April Fool's Day is over, what type of contributions would you like to make to Wikipedia if you were unblocked? ![]() Computerfan0 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I do completely understand that my actions could fall under vandalism. However, most of my actions were intended to be humourous, and I realise that they were not for you. I intend on editing articles about roads and computers (a new page on the R181 road in Ireland was made on the same day and can be viewed here) and I had plans for multiple more pages documenting roads. I also want to put my computer knowledge into use, and fix bad grammar and typos in articles. I will try and keep a lower profile next April Fool's and hope to have build up a substantial number of constructive edits by then. Computerfan0 (talk) 16:19, 5 April 2020 (UTC) Accept reason: Unblocked. It isn't hard to figure out my age from other sources, i.e: go on a forum that I am on and it will be right there inside my user page. Also, one stating that my age is 0 rounded to the next 100 years got removed, despite the fact that one saying I'm in GenZ was kept. Computerfan0 (talk) 16:41, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
